Dashing through the Snow!

In need of some winter themed layout inspiration? Then check out Kelly's layout - we love it!

Dashing Through the Snow

I was super excited to play with the Milk Paint...and I was not disappointed! I decided to showcase the paint using some old school stencils. I wanted more of a water color look, so I mixed up the paint a bit more thin than what was recommended in the directions.

After settling on a heart pattern, I just brushed on the paint with a stencil brush. I removed the stencil, and spattered a bit more paint diagonally across the hearts.

Supply List
Imaginisce: Green Milk Paint; i-Top Tool & Brad; i-Rock Tool & Gems
Bazzil: Eggshell Cardstock
Pebbles, Inc: Home For Christmas (Candy Canes, Snow Flurries, Christmas Cheer, Merry&Bright, Icons&Phrases)

Twin Chefs using Family Fun collection

We've got another week full of fabulous projects using our new Family Fun collection! The DT is loving this new release and have been creating some wonderful projects.

My Twin Chefs

When I saw that there were both a blond and a brunette long haired girl paper dolls, I couldn't resist doing a page like this. My very fraternal twins love to help me out in the kitchen, and of course...I love to document it!

The paper doll embellishments are quite large, so I made use of the chefs hats for my title space. Also, keeping the background simple keeps the page from looking too busy so everything can stand out.

Supply List
Imaginisce: Family Fun (Baking, Die Cut Cardstock shapes); i-Rock Tool and Rocks
American Crafts: Black Fun & Games Thickers

The D-stres tool hard at work!!

The d-stress tool is such a fun little tool and can add so much interest to your projects!

"Oksar" layout

I started my page by painting a white frame around a plain piece of tan card stock

I junked up the edges of a 6.5x8.5 piece of patterned paper with the paper distressor for my grounding piece, and tucked a couple different sized circles around the photos.

After adding my title and journaling, I embellished with the i-Rock and i-Top tools to add dimension.

Supply List
Imaginisce: Perfect Vacation (You Are Here, World Traveler, Memories Captured, Die Cut Journaling Tags ); Little Princess (Secret Garden ); i-Top Tool & Brads; Distress Tool; i-Rock tool & Rocks

The Taste of Fall

Design Team member Kelly created this layout using non-fall themed papers and isn't it fabulous?!
Look through your stash of non-traditional fall colours and papers and create a layout with them.  You'll love the unique and different twist to your fall page!

The Taste of Fall

I kept my fall layout pretty simple using mostly papers from the Perfect vacation collection with a little help from some green paper taken from the Little Princess collection.

I wanted a little variety in my cascading leaves, so I added a couple of die cut hearts. I used a paper piercer to add a little rib pattern to my big 'leaves', and just tucked them all together around my photo.

Supply List
Imaginisce: Perfect Vacation (Memories Captured, You Are Here, This Way, Die Cut Journal Tags); Little Princess (Secret Garden); i-Rock Tool & Rocks

American Crafts: Cardstock (White, Craft, Red, Brown, Grey); Baker's Twine; Border Punch System

Fall themed Home Decor

Do you like decorating your home for each season?
Well, if you do we've got some fabulous ideas on the blog this week for some Fall themed home decor.

Fall Garland

I made use of some sticks laying around my yard for a cute fall centerpiece :)  Arranging the sticks in the jar was almost as fun as making a flower arrangement.

For the garland, I chose papers from 3 different collections to make an autumn color combo. I cut them in 2 different sized circles, and 2 different sized scalloped circles to make it fun and quirky. I then punched 2 holes in each circle, and strung them on some orange baker's twine. Using the i-Rock tool, I added some gems to some die cut leaves, and hung them on the branches with mini clothespins.

Supply List
Imaginisce: Perfect Vacation (You Are Here, World Traveler); Welcome Spring (Flying Colors); Little Princess (Secret Garden, Make Believe); i-Rock Tool & Gems
American Crafts: Cardstock (White, Brown, Craft); Baker's Twine, Daydream Thickers

A card for a special teacher!

Teacher really do appreciate receiving those handmade cards of appreciation and thanks.
Kelly has created this fabulous example!

Teacher Card

When 'Back to School' time rolls around, everyone usually always thinks of apples (or at least I do!).  The red color in the Perfect Vacation collection plus a round heart die made an adorable apple for the focal point of this card.

I layered two hearts for more dimension, and grounded in on a 2.5x3.5 piece of white cardstock. You could even lose the brad, and make the cardstock piece a bit bigger to be used as a pocket for a $5 or $10 gift card to a office supply place...or maybe even a coffee shop.

Supply List
Imaginisce: Perfect Vacation (You Are Here, World Traveler, Random Stripes, Anywhere You Go); i-Top Tool; Little Princess (Secret Garden)
American Crafts: Cardstock (Craft)

Summer Time

When was the last time you used scraps on your projects?
Check out Kelly's fabulous layout and how she used up some scraps to add detail and layers .

Summer Time

I love to use up scraps by layering them. But, it is even more fun to add extra detail to each piece.

Here, I made one piece into a tag, another into a file folder, and gave another a notebook edge. Don't be afraid to get creative with your scraps...I've made some of my most favorite pages this way.

Supplies:
Imaginisce: Perfect Vacation ( Away We Go, This Way, Oh Snap, Memories Captured); Welcome Spring (Flutterbye)
American Crafts: Craft Cardstock, Baker's Twine, Daydream Thickers, Goodness Thickers (Black)

Sparkler Fun!

We've got a fabulous layout to share with you today and Kelly did an amazing job of incorporating the i-rock tool on her layout!!

"Sparkler Fun"

This red, blue and aqua combo from the Perfect Vacation collection was perfect for an Independence Day theme. I used several star shaped punches to give my layout the proper 4th of July feel, and finished the look with the i-Rock tool to make some 'fireworks'.

Imaginisce:  Perfect Vacation (Good Times, You Are Here, Anywhere You Go, Die Cut Tags); i-Rock Tool and Gems

Water Balloon Fight!

With school finishing in many areas that only means one thing.  It's summer break!!
So this week on the blog our DT are sharing some projects that reflect that Summer theme.

It's been fun to see how the Design Team have used various collection to create their summer themed projects because we don't have a summer collection out right now.  So we hope that you can take some inspiration and ideas from using other themed collections to create your summer themed layouts, cards, etc.

"Water Balloon Fight" layout

I love to spatter ink and paint on my pages when they have a white background. I thought the technique would be perfect for this layout using a light aqua to resemble water.

For the title, I put down some letter masks before applying the ink. Then I traced around each letter with a tiny paint brush.

Supply List
Imaginisce: Perfect Vacation (Random Stripes, Die Cut Tags); Little Princess (Royal Ribbon); i-Rock Tool & Gems, i-Top Tool and brad
American Crafts:White Cardstock, Baker's Twine, Border Punch System

Hooray for Today

Our "Welcome Spring" collection is perfect for those graduation photos. Check out Kelly's layout below.

Hooray For Today

For this layout, I combined the Welcome Spring and Perfect Vacation collections. I chose my patterned paper from each collection based on the colors from my photo.

I thought flags were the perfect shape to add to a page about a celebration, and added studs for a little bit of dimension.

Supply List
Imaginisce:  Welcome Spring (Hop to it, Dainty Floral, Flying Colors, Vintage Floral, Pinwheels&Banners, Hello Little Friend); Perfect Vacation (Away We Go, Good Times); i-Rock Tool & Gems

Banished to the Box!

Wrapping up our our Repurpose Challenge is DT member Kelly with this super fun layout using the Perfect Vacation collection.

Banished to the Box

I chose to re-purpose the Perfect Vacation collection. Using these products for an everyday layout was easy, because most of the 'B' side papers have general patterns on them such as stripes, or polka dots.

I punched images from a couple of the patterned papers to make custom embellishments...the 'heart' this brad, and the circle that says 'You are my world', and of course camera embellishments can be used on projects of any theme.

Supply List
Imaginisce: Perfect Vacation (This Way, Away We Go, Anywhere You Go, World Traveler, Random Stripes, Oh Snap, Good Times, You are Here, Die Cut Tags); i-Top Tool & brads; i-Rock Tool & Gems

Hello Spring!

First of all, before we go any further with today's post, we just wanted to say ....

Happy St. Patrick's Day.
May the luck of the Irish be with you!

Well, with winter still lingering around in many places of the world we know that you are eager to see spring come. So we've got some great Spring themed projects to share with you this week and hope you enjoy them.

"A Day in May"

I love the bright and happy colors of the Welcome Spring collection!  I started this layout by matting a 4x6 photo on a 6x6 piece of white cardstock, and topped it with my title. I then tucked a few different shaped tags/die cuts underneath for a little interest, and to hold my journaling .

I used the clear acrylic butterfly stamp and the i-rock tool to make custom embellishments, along with the i-top tool for the brad.

Supply List:
Imaginisce: Welcome Spring (Flying Colors, Hello Spring, Hop to it, Die Cut Tags, Butterfly Clear Acrylic Stamp, i-rock tool, i-top tool, 22 mm brad)
American Crafts: White Cardstock, Baker's Twine, Glitter Tape, Knock-Out Border Punch, Aqua Goodness Thickers

Scraplifting madness!

We have some more incredible 'scrap lifting' ideas for you today. Check it out!

"Super Star"

I was inspired by the design of Jodi's 'Snow Kisses' Layout.

So, I changed up the color combo and the theme, and changed it a bit to fit my 8.5x11 page.  There are a couple of things I normally do to convert a 12x12 design to 8.5x11.

One option is to eliminate any white space, another is to make my page horizontal...or both as I did here.

Supply List:
Imaginisce: Patterned Papers (Welcome Spring: Dainty Floral, Flying Colors; Perfect Vacation: Pack it Up, Anywhere you Go); i-Top Tool, 22 mm brads, i-Rock Tool,
American Crafts: White Cardstock, Neutrals Cardstock, Black Honey Thickers, Knock Out Border Punch

"This Boy That Girl"

There are so many talented designers on the team to scraplift, that it was hard to choose! I have always admired Becki Adam's style for a long time, so I decided to lift one of her recent layouts!  I came across a layout, that I loved because it was almost like two layouts in one! I thought this would be super cool to combine a couple new collections by Imaginisce to create this look:

Some detailed shots of the layout:

And here is Becki's layout that I lifted (Thanks Becki!)

Supplies Used:

Imaginisce:  Patterned Paper:(My Baby, Perfect Vacation) Die Cuts: (My Baby); Bling: (My baby)

Valentine's Layouts

This week we are going to be sharing some incredible love themed layouts with you.
Once again, our Design Team has outdone themselves!  These girls are so talented and so inspirational.

(In fact, this week I had mentioned to them that I was lacking a bit of motivation to get working on an assignment. Well, they inspired me not only with ideas of how to get started but just with their words of encouragement! They're an awesome team to be working with!)

Ok, ... so on to these layouts.

**********

"Love My Life"

I love the fact that Imaginisce's paper collections can be so versatile.  I used Imaginisce's My Baby Boy and Welcome Spring to create this page featuring my hubby and I.  I used mostly pink papers to give this layout a Valentines day effect and then added just a hint of blue.

I used foam adhesive to give my title, embellishments and pictures added dimension.  All in all...I love the feel of love coming from this layout.

Supplies:
Imaginisce: Patterned Papers (My Baby and Welcome Spring), Stamp (Welcome Spring)
American Crafts: Cardstock and Foam Dots

"Sister Love"

The My Baby collection + Heart Dies = a perfect Valentine's project! I doodled inside the hearts with a black pen to make them stand out, but not before spattering my white background with black ink.

By adding some adhesive gems to my ink spatter, and matting my photo with silver glitter tape, I've added just the right amount of sparkle. Buttons threaded with Baker's twine in the hearts' centers finish the look.

Supply List:
Imaginisce: My Baby (Baby Bunnies, Sweet Baby Girl, Baby Girl Chevrons, Pink Elephants on Parade, Baby Girl Die Cut Tags, Baby Girl Plastic Buttons, Baby Girl Adhesive Gems)
American Crafts: White Cardstock, Glitter Tape, Bakers Twine, Daydream Thickers
