Guest Designer + Giveaway!

We are very privileged to welcome to the Imaginisce fold as guest designer for October...
Suzanne Sergi

"My name is Suzanne Sergi and I am thrilled to be a Guest Designer for Imaginisce! I live in Orange County, but I'm a Texas gal at heart! I'm married to Steven, and we have three wonderful children. I have been scrapbooking for about twelve years and I also work part time at our local scrapbook store. There you might find me working an evening crop, or teaching a class, or two. Scrapbooking is my creative outlet, and I enjoy combining my love of paper with photography. I enjoy creating scrapbook pages, home decor projects and mini albums. You may even see a card from me! I have a passion for embellishments and lots of texture on my projects. Adding details to my papercrafts is my favorite part of the design process. Scrapbooking has turned into one of my biggest passions, and I'm fortunate to be designing for several manufacturers. I have also been blessed to have some of my work published in Scrapbook Trends! When I'm not scrapbooking, you'll find me with a Starbucks drink and a really great book! Thank you, Imaginisce, for inviting me to Guest Design with you this month!"

Before we begin sharing some of Suzanne's beautiful work we decided to ask her a few little questions to get to know her a bit better.

Q. Diet or Regular?
A. Diet Coke with extra ice!

Q. When and where do you scrap/craft?
A. I scrapbook in my favourite room, my scrapbook room. I do share it with the Wii, however. So, there are times when my son, and his friends join me!

Suzanne got to play with the Geek is Chic collection for starters and created this delightful layout of her gorgeous youngest daughter who seems to be a model student!

Q. What is one item or technique you use most often?
A. My go to technique is simply using embossing folders. I love texture on my papercrafts, and they add immediate texture!

Q.  What is your favourite Imaginisce Tool or product?
A. My favorite tool has got to be the I-Top tool! Now, I will admit I do not own one. However, last weekend I was at a crop, and saw my friend use it in action! Where have I been? This is definitely on my wish list! The ability to turn a simple brad into something fabulous, is definitely a need (;

Suzanne also had a whole pile of Santa's Little Helper in her box and she has created the most amazing projects... so let's start with this beautiful Christmas layout of her eldest daughter.

Q. How do you kick of your creative process?

A. I always start off with my photos. I then lay out the paper for inspiration, and roughly draw a sketch. My page never quite looks like the sketch, but it does give me a starting point.

Q. What product couldn't you live without?
A. I cannot live without vellum! I love this beautiful translucent paper! It is gorgeous as accents on altered projects, and can soften a scrapbook page instantly!
