Blog Hop with Core'dinations - Day 1

Welcome to Day One of our Blog Hop with Core'dinations!

We are just thrilled to have partnered up with Core'dinations again. We absolutely LOVE their cardstock! The textures, styles, rich colors and the endless techniques that you can do with this cardstock make creating with it so much fun.

Here's what Core'dinations says about their cardstock:
"Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock has a core color which “core’dinates” with the surface color. Each sheet has a tab underneath labeled “core color” that represents the interior color of the sheet. You can choose to keep that color hidden or add your own creative touch by sanding, tearing or embossing. "

If you have never had the opportunity to use this cardstock before
then we must tell you that you are missing out. BIG TIME!

You can emboss, deboss, sand, distress, tear, crinkle, crimp and stamp on this cardstock. The possibilities are truly endless. Make sure to check out their great videos on various techniques that they offer on the website.

Our Design Team have been creating up a storm and are anxious to share their amazing projects with you.
So let's get the party started!!!

Heather made these two fabulous cards with a heart theme
because she has fallen in love with Core.
Heather used some Happy Camper papers along with the d-stress tool and embossing tip to create this awesome looking tree trunk heart design. It's amazing and another great use for the d-stress tool!

In this layout Cari used a variety of techniques on the Core cardstock
along with our Hippity Hop collection.
She made long scored lines on the purple cardstock & short lines
on the green background cardstock to create a 'stitching' effect.
She then sanded over the embossed lines to really show them off!
She also did a bit of paper tearing which really brings out the inside color core.
Cari then die-cut some letters for her title and ran them through a paper crimper & lightly sanded them. Very cool effect.
Cari created another layout using the Happy Camper collection and the Black Magic cardstock for the background. She sanded all around the outside edges to bring the light brown shade through.
On the middle paper strip she embossed a darling owl design with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. She then added some turquoise Hot Rocks, with the i-rock tool, for the owl's eyes.

Regina started her card off with some of the Birthday Bash collection and then did embossing on the White Wash cardstock with a fantastic star design. She then sanded over the image to bring the beautiful turquoise color through.
She punched out the star from a piece of Core Essentials and sanded around the edges.

For this layout Regina embossed the orange cardstock and then sanded it to show off the beautiful floral design. Along with the Hippity Hop collection she used White Wash paper to create the 'grass', sanding the tips on one side and flipping it over for a second layer.

Diana created some beautiful cards and used some embossing folders on them. Beautiful designs.

What an adorable gift basket Diana! Just perfect for the Easter season.

As you can clearly see Core'dinations is an excellent quality cardstock for making all sorts of projects from cards, layouts, boxes and altered projects.

If you're looking for more ideas on how to use this cardstock make sure to check out what the Core'dinations Design Team has created on their BLOG!!! They'll knock your socks off!

  1. Hi! I really like cards and pages that DT girls made! And i should say that i have never used cardstock for embossing. I thought it is too thick for embossing. I really like how it looks after sending embossed image. Thank you very much for inspiration and new idea how to use cardstock!
