i-top Button Feature - Day 1

Have you ever wondered how to use buttons on your projects? Where to place them  & how to use them?
Did you know that you can make buttons using the Imaginisce i-top tool and our Button Daddies? Well you can and it so easy & so much fun.

Our Design Team has been busy working on projects to showcase the i-top tool and the Button Daddies. You will definitely find a lot of inspiration over the next week!
Today we have designers, Jodi & Guiseppa sharing their talents with us.

Girl's Headband

I love the versatility of Imaginisce products.  I especially love the I-Top and how many things you can create with this wonderful tool.  I decided to make a fabric headband.   I covered the Button Daddies in fabric and sewed them onto these fabric roses I made.  I then stitched the fabric flowers onto the headband.  Super easy and super cute!  A fun way to make a custom headband and isn't my model so adorable?

"Cute, Cute, Cute, as a Button!"

I absolutely love using buttons on all my layouts, and the fun thing about Imaginisce i-top is you can make your buttons! I immediately wanted to showcase the full potential of this awesome tool on my layout, and show different ways to make your buttons unique!  I first used the i-top to create a cute button of my daughter's face- I thought this was perfect, and tied in with the title of the layout nicely! Secondly, I am a sucker for twine- and thought wouldn't a twine button be neat on a layout! I played with a couple of ideas and came up with cute paper and twine buttons! You can learn to make them too, with a few easy steps. Lastly I wanted to use smaller buttons as part of my scalloped border at the bottom of my layout. I used the same patterned paper as the background sheet to give the border some dimension.

Here's a brief tutorial on how Jodi created the buttons on her adorable layout.

Step One: Gather your supplies:  i-top tool,  Paper Punches (I used the Large Punch), Twine and Tape.

Step Two:  Turn the punched out piece to the side that you do not wish to see on your button and adhere the twine with tape.

Step Three:  Begin to wrap the twine around each groove as shown. Work in one direction.

Step Four:  Continue until all grooves have twine wrapped around them. Use tape to secure final piece.

Step Five: Use i-top as usual to create a fun new button! Also- don’t forget you can use photos as buttons too, as I did on my layout.
