Valentine's Inspiration - Day 1

Love is in the air!

With Valentine's Day a little over a week away we thought it would be great to share 

some creative ideas with you.

Our Design Team has been busy creating a variety of 

Valentine's themed projects from cards, layouts, altered project to home decor.  

We hope that you are inspired to create something for that special loved one this Valentine's Day.

Today we are focusing on 

CARDS.

"I Adore You" Card

I love Valentine's Day because I love making and sending valentines! I wanted to create an old-fashioned valentine with a modern feel and I was happy to reach for the Love You More collection with its gorgeous pink and grey hues. I wanted to make a great big shaped (a heart, of course!) valentine that opens to reveal a nice and loving sentiment. I used the wonderfully pretty stickers from the collection's sticker sheet and popped them up over the front cover, which was die-cut from patterned paper. (Tip: If you have a sticker that you'd like to turn into a dimensional, simply apply one sticky side of foam tape to the sticker then brush the remaining adhesive with baby powder to take away the adhesive. Then remove the backing on the foam tape and, voila!, you have a dimensional sticker!) I made sure to embellish the inside, spelling out my sentiment and "blinged" up the scallops on my heart with some hot rocks and my i-Rock tool.

"Be Mine"

I loved this challenge -- playing with the I Love You More collection is just great, I think it's my favorite Valentine collection ever!  It was easy to make a simple card using the cardstock stickers as the focal point with patterned paper and washi as accents.
