Organization is my favorite thing, next to scrapping. Here is a picture of how I store my flowers; sorted by color in magnetic tins on a cookie sheet which hangs on the wall near my desk.http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=36168601&l=6570674a52&id=31703738

Love Sarah's idea!

I have IRIS carts with different drawers for my stamps and each drawer is labeled with the catagory of stamps that is in that drawer. I also love my little clippy system for packaged items. Everything was from IKEA so it was inexpenisive to make. 2 bars each with cafe clips so I can clip up anything.

Such a cute way to store alpha stickers!

How cool is that!! I store a lot of stuff in an 8 x 10 binder with the document sleeves too...mostly scraps and odd stickers...I would totally do this for alpha storage...and what a great idea someone had for the baseball card sleeves for thier clear stamps...genius!

What a fun idea! I use crystal light (Great Value brand by WalMart) Tubes for tons, pens, colored pencils, paint brushes, flowers, ribbons....some I cut holes in the front and attach a small piece of acetate so I can see what is in them (colored flowers buttons ect. They are great, inexpensive, can be used with or without tops and you can alter them to be pretty! Thanks for the give away :)

I store all my stickles upside down in a styrofoam rectangular brick that I bought at Michaels. The brick is then stored in a rectangular basket. The styrofoam keeps the bottles upright and keeping them upside down makes them ready to squeeze.

I have an old closet in our living room, where I keep most of my scrapbooking supplies:

I just picked up one of these from Sam's Club. I love it for storing my I-top goodies, carded ribbon, stickers, buttons, etc. The Sam's website is down for maintenance right now, so here's a link to get it elsewhere. It's the same cart, by the same company, only the drawers are an opaque white and it only cost me $30 at Sam's. http://www.ecmdstore.com/Product/ProductDetail.aspx?product=17634&es=12571400000&utm_source=CSE&utm_medium=weblink&utm_campaign=nextag

First off - super cute way to store Alphas.

Second - I just happened to reinspire an old card holder. I've been making a lot of cards lately and saw this holder at a thrift store. I really needed a place to store my cards until I use them. I used the Sweet Cheri Collection. Check it out here. http://maiclark.blogspot.com/2010/03/thirftstore-find.html

I love those snap storage boxes, they hold my markers, glitter, eps, alcohol inks. I love how they stack & come in different sizes.

I'm alittle organized, I have some iris carts and a couple bookshelves with fabric bins on them.

My DH bought me a set of cube shelves last year. I have everything sorted into seperate cubes and shelves.

My floor makes for good storage. At least that's what I tell myself when I see all the stuff scattered about.

I store my ribbon scraps in clear plastic jars grouped by colors. It is easy to find what I am looking for.

Here is a link which has a photo.

I buy these big boxes of 'cheese'n'breadsticks' at Costco for my kids lunches. The box is the perfect size for holding spools of ribbon, and even has the proper lid flap to pull the ribbon through like many professional ribbon boxes have.

Some great ideas posted! I still keep my stickers in photo boxes and the heavy plastic paper storage containers for the larger sheets up to 12 x 12. My Snag'em stamps are all organized/labeled (2 sets in each) in the Iris photo storage containers. :)

I use Wal-Mart stackables (3-drawers)for papers and embellies. I have a drawer for each of the holidays, girl, boy, & family. So when I'm working on a layout I just pull out which ever drawer I need & take it to my desk until I'm done with the layout and then I just stick it back in. I also have a drawer for each of the kids and keep their layouts in the drawer until it's time to put it in an album.

Lots of rubbermaid for me. I store all of my stmaps in binders so they look nice and organized on a bookshelf.

Amy said...

I have these folderish things that I found years ago and Target. They are 1" in depth and I like to put my clear stamps and embellies in them. I also have a clip it up organizer that helps. I also have 9 crop and style drawers and then an ikea drawer I use for all my stamps. I need to get more storage!

Janette said...

I keep mine organized by material type in drawers. Not fancy, but it works for me!

Christy Carlson said...

I try to stay $ conscious when it comes to storage. I use glass jars for flowers, rubbermaid for stamps and inks, and ziplocs for ribbon sorted by color. It's easier to just grab the bag w/ the color I need and go. I also reuse the mailing boxes for upright paper storage! Eventually I will get nicer storage when I can afford it!

I store my clear stamps in a 3-ring binder using 8.5x11 sheets of 4x6 photo inserts.

Donna Espiritu said...

i used to have all kinds of jars and boxes that i altered with alcohol inks and glimmer mists/paints, respectively, for my embellishments. and as for the papers, i bought one big plastic storage with cover. don't have those with me now though...left it in manila.

Sarah, that's a great idea! It's the cutest alpha book ever! I use cookie tins for brads and other embellies. I also use a couple of empty boxes that I decorated. Here is one.

Sarah's idea is WAY cool. Once my husband and I move, I fully intend on buying a filing cabinet and filing my letter sticker sheets all professional-like. Until then, I've been organizing favorite sketches into a little journal so that if I'm unable to take my computer with me on a crop or something, I still have plenty of inspiration! Then there is my binder where I organize all the pictures that I need to scrap.

Michele said...

I love to use baskets and IRIS plastic storage containers.

Wendy said...

I use baskets, IRIS storage containers and lots of file folders. I tried using 3 ring binders, but my "collection" had them busting at the seams!

Blooberry56 said...

I organize all my letter stickers in a binder, too! and i've started seperating my paper in a clear drawer (instead of a photo box) by color, but it's still evolving

ShoppingTamii said...

favorite organization...hum, hard to narrow it down! I store my stickles upside down in a spice rack, flowers sorted by color in jars, chipboard alphas sorted by letter in sterilite (sp?) drawers, letter stickers clipped on a curtain wire rod...that's just a small example of my OCD :)

I have some see-through snap storage drawers. I usually try to leave one free for projects that I'm working on in case I need to do a quick desk clean up. Otherwise, I am completely unorganized and so jealous of people who are.

I have an extra large artbin that I use to store my alphabets in. O.K., so this doesn't exactly work...I didn't know that I had so many alphabets in my stash...so now I use two of those large artbins to hold all of my alphabet. It works but you still need to dig through them to find what you want.

Roberta said...

Nothing original about it but my new favorite storage is an over the door shoe holder with clear pockets. I just put one in the closet in my scrap room, so it's hidden, and I'm using it to store my punches. It's great for the punch around the page ones because I can keep the corner and edge punches together in the same slot. Because it's see through, I can easily find what I want and that thing holds A LOT of punches. I don't have a link but I got mine at Walmart for around $7.00. Cheap and easy to find.

I organize my papers by company, use binder clips to hold them together and hand them on my walls on straight pins. I also use old spice jars to hold little embellishments.

Love organization tips, just need to put them into practice (and The Hubs would be a lot happier). I just saved my Lg. Baby Formula Tin Can this morning, the paper comes right off to replace with my own decorations it would be great storage for flowers, ribbon, inks, etc....
Thanks!

I store my alphas in hanging folders on rolling Rubbermaid bins. All sorted by color. I love it!

I try to bag most of my paper collections and the matching cardstock together in the extra large plastic bags that I get from my LSS. It makes it easy for me to grab all the coordinating stuff without having to look all over the place.

Jessica said...

I store my stuff in small plastic baskets that I bought at Dollar Tree. I can see whats in them and I have my items sorted per basket plus they are good size.

Tiffany said...

I like storing all of my thickers in a plastic tub, so that they're all standing up. I keep them sorted by color...that way I can just leaf through them and find the perfect set.

Amy said...

Sarah I love your little book for your alphas....

I store my chipboard letters in ziplock bags and I have them alphabetized sitting in an old Coke crate. I store my buttons in old mason jars... the kind with the metal lids....On my scrappy table I have an old muffin tin....perfect for all those little left over pieces from a layout....But my favorite storage piece is a over the door hat organizer that I purchased at Target. The pockets are clear and a little wider than a shoe organizer. Perfect for any packaged embellishments...I loved reading through the comments to see how everyone organizes. Happy scrappin'! Hugs,Amy

One of my favorite storage ideas is taking a shoe shelf (I found mine at Target) and storing lots of stuff in it. Easy to see what's inside and has lots of space! Some of the shelves have little bins that I can take in and out! Thanks for the opportunity!
