Bon Voyage Release Party - Day 3

Well we've made it to the middle of the week!

The past two days we've been sharing projects from our design team that really show how versatile the Bon Voyage collection can be and it's because we've incorporated two sides of wonderful patterns and warm colours to the papers. That means we've not only incorporated a travel theme but also a neutral theme that leaves your options open for creating your own style of projects.

Today our design team share a wonderful array of holiday projects that will make you head for your passports.

Tracey has created this amazing travel diary and we're just loving the new iron-on flourishes that she has applied to the front and back cover using the new Imaginisce mini-iron.

A fun layout of beautifully painted toes that are being eye-off by some curious little fish. Tracey's snapped this adorable photo on a recent vacation and knew it just had to be scrapped.

Robyn has designed this amazing double page spread that tells such a wonderful story of a wonderful cruisy holiday over the high seas. And look at all that hand-cutting of the stamp collection patterned paper!

A sentimental 'For You' with that postcard feel... complete with it's very own postage stamp!

Cari has put together this wonderful diary style layout their family get-away and it certainly looks like that had lots of adventurous fun!
The rich and warm colour tones to the bon voyage collection are ideal for boy layouts, especially with the super cute vintage airplanes throughout the design.

Cari has created this very romantic card that could either be hidden away until Valentine's Day or simply given to someone special any day of the week. We think this is just adorable!
Cari has already begun preparing for an impending cruise the family are taking next Summer with the beginnings of what is set to be a wonderful travel journal. Here is the front cover of her mini album!

Lydia Jackson

WOW... what a hotel room view!!! Lydia decided to document her recent trip to Brisbane, Australia and the wonderful view from her room. We are totally jealous!!!

A travel journal is such a wonderful idea when going away because it means you have a daily account of all the sights, sounds, smells of the places you experience and then re-live by pouring through the precious pages of manuscript.

Rhonda Van Ginkel

Such a happy chap having a wonderful time rolling in the hay! Rolling has created a wonderful eclectic display of photos, papers and embellishments to give the feeling of movement and fun all rolled into one layout. And Rhonda was very excited to note that she even STAMPED on her layout!!! We love it!

these papers are gorgeous. all the projects are fabulous, but I love that white denim pocket mini album by Tracey Taylor best. I think it's the bling. ;) If I am vacationing, I want those 5 stars, baby.

What a great album! This paper is fantastic and so perfect for me. We are flying to Calif. and cruising through the Panama Canal over the holiday. My photos would look awesome on this collection :)

great - great - great! Thats all, what i an say! Wonderful projects!!!

OMG love this new paper and the projects today are fabulous! I would love to 5 star it all the way but we more often than not are a 'roughin' it kind of family.

All of these projects are amazing - some very clever ladies!! I love the travel journals! Depending on where we are going depends on the type of holiday.......I love roughing it BUT also five star is awesome too!

Cindy deRosier said...

WOW. I loved the first project and was sure it was going to be my favorite, but as I scrolled down I found a dozen more favorites. Awesome work!!

I like 5 star (we cruise a lot) and I like roughin' it (we camp a lot too).

Janet's Joy said...

The projects are inspiring as always. I camped a lot as a kid so now I am 5 star all the way!!!

I love Cari's Alaska journal for her impending journey that she will take next summer ... I'm totally jealous. Alaska is definitely a "bucket list" adventure, one that I want to do more than once.

Beth Hallgren said...

The vacation albums are fantastic! My idea of camping is a hotel room :)

Lillian Child said...

Oh my, but these ladies are SO talented. Such delightful projects. I especially like Robyn's card creations! And I am definitely spoiled, but I blame my mom for this (grin). My dad bought this fabulous winnebego complete with bedrooms and kitchen, etc. But when we took it on the road, my mom would insist on getting a hotel room at night ... so I was conditioned from a young age to enjoy creature comforts!

Love these projects from your talented design team! If I am travelling, I love to 5-star it all the way usually, but roughing it is fun sometimes too! Great collection for documenting any type of travel!!

amazing projects! I love how you show such a huge range of them. I prefer comfort and INDOOR TOILETS when I am anywhere. :)

I'm more of a rough it girl, but I'm not against being spoiled.

Kelly Massman said...

These projects are great! they make me want the collection even more!!! We have to go somewhere in between roughin' it and 5 star! We can't afford 5 star... lol Thanks!

Mary said...

All the projects are fabulous, I'm lovin this paper line! My idea of roughin it is my camper, which has all the luxuries of home(indoor toilet, running water & shower), so I choose roughin it!!

Emmy said...

All the projects today are absolutely amazing! The DT gave us so much inspiration... now only the papers:-)
I used to did the rough trip, but now with two small children I choose the 5 star:-)

The projects today are awesome. I prefer to relax in "5 star" comfort.

more terrific ideas! Thank you! I do both roughing it and 5 star...I mix it up when I travel to save some money.

this collection is perfect for all kinds of vacations and traveling. Loved the "oh the Places You'll go" l/o, and the birthday card that followed it. I'm not much of a scrapper, so it is always nice to see cards made from Bon Voyage. I'm one of those travellers who works on a budget planned way in advance, with certain dollar amounts set for categories. While I have a big desire for a 5 star experience, I end up with about a 2 or 3. My best vacation ended up with me being bumped from a flight and the airline putting me up in the Sheratoon - with a special elevator key and happy hour - and omg - the room ! Even took pics of it.

Fabulous projects! TFS!

I'm pretty flexible...can rough it w/the best of 'em, but also love to be pampered by the whole 5 star thing too, but I guess right this min, if I had to pick just one, I'd appreciate the 5 star experience more (since I'm all tired and achy today. lol).

María Castillo said...

I love every single project, but Tracey´s travel diary is simply fantastic!! I prefer the 5 star experience, but it is not always possible !!

Fantastic colors-love that you show the line & follow w/samples. Well done!

Tracey Taylor's Travel Diary is amazing!!! For now, I'm a roughing it girl who's dreaming of a 5 Stars vacation!

Love all of the DT projects! That View From My Window LO is very cool! I've roughed it and gone 5 star and if I had my way it'd be 5 star EVERY time!

Susan said...

Loved all the layout ideas especially the bicycle layout! I'm a 5 star all the way. I'm not one for roughing it :)

Jan Garber said...

The colors of this new collection lend themselves to so many type so layouts! Masculine, feminine, foriegn travel, camping down the road...! And that's why that question got me thinking...hmmm. I like both extremes, 5 star and roughing it, and everything in between!

jan farnworth said...

wonderful collection and the dt did a great job i rather be 5 star cause i tend to do a lot of roughing it.

I just love the color pallete of this collection. Perfect for boys/men but versaile enough to accent anything nauticle like the "Oh the places you'll go" l/o...this will be perfect the use for a page for my own story (if I ever get started!) as my Mum always had me in the crisp navy and white colors and style of sailor suits. We've been tent campers with five kids...always great until it rains, snows or just too hot, graduated to kabins, and on occasion when the need arose a hotel..never 5*'s, though...think I'd prefer to get a travel trailer and semi-rough it if I could. Loved the Alberta l/o too...which border crossing is that sign at? Haven't been there in years but that's some sign! Gets your attention!

ShoppingTamii said...

Love them all today. And I prefer 5 star ;) But can usually only afford 3 star LOL!

Love the projects by the DT.. they are always so amazing!! The travel diary by Tracy is really cool!! I like to rough it (camping with the kids) and of course, I would enjoy be pampered with 5 star accommodations as well! I guess it would be the best of both worlds! :)

ON holiday I do like to do it in style, I am not a roughing it girl!It doesn't have to be 5 star exactly but my basic requirements are a comfy bed and a door I can lock!

Lovely projects :) Especially love the layout by Lydia Jackson - there was just something about it :)

When I travel alone, I like it comfy, but together with my family we often camp in tent and stuff like that. I believe that children should learn to love nature :) Then later they can learn the great joy of hotel vaccations, ha ha :)

Thanks for the inspiration!

sammi said...

These are wonderful! Great work on all the projects, both yesterday and today! I like being in luxury when I'm on holiday, at least in a decent hotel! No roughing it for this princess! LOL

Moondust47 said...

Everything is amazing! Oh that mini album! And anyone who quotes Dr. Seuss is divine in my book! I'd love to 5 star it but honestly money is so tight that it isn't an option. I'm just glad if I get to Vacay at all!

Chelle said...

I loved all the projects, toes, albums etc. I would love 5 star but usually have to rough it with 3 star. LOL

Sandi B said...

All of these projects are gorgeous. I definitely would pick the 5 star over roughing it. My hotel choices are usually in the 3 star range though.

These are the best travel collection papers I have EVER seen (and I've owned several!!!)

Lovely inspiration, as always.

I am a 5 star girl all the way :)

Kathy said...

I love (and WANT) it all! This is the best collection EVER! I am definitely going to lift Tracey's album ideas and many of the other posts today for my upcoming Chicago trip album. We used to rough it when younger (camping, cheaper hotels) but now it's high end whenever possible!

Samantha Taylor said...

Love the unique ideas today, like the "out my hotel window" page. I'm a bit of a, I like it nicer type of person. Doesn't have to be 5 star, but I'm not big on tent camping (cabin in the woods is okay though).

Tami B. said...

The DT has done a fabulous job showing this line off. I'm a "roughing it" kind of gal, but the 5 star treatment is nice every once in a while too.

Aubrey G said...

These projects have me really inspired to get scrapping our summer vacation photos! We like to rough it (camping, road tripping, backpacking) but I don't complain about 5 star getaways at all!

Barbara said...

The Travel album is an eye-popping, fabulous project - wow! The layouts are all bautifully crafted, and the card, tag, journal, ALL of it is nothing less than 1st class (pun intended, lol)! I always enjoyed roughing it when I was young, but at my age and stage, a lot of luxury would now be most welcome. This kit is definitely luxurious! I'd love to make some projects for myself and my grandkids with it!

I am in love with the album! Love this new release! And of course 5 star please! TFS CallyAnn

Oh my! That travel journal is just too nice! I love every single project shared so far! When i travel, i would like to 5-star it all the way, but i can only afford 4-stars most of the time - hehehe :P

Ruth G said...

All the projects are fantastic! As a scrapper, I especially liked seeing how Tracey used the papers to best advantage for her pages. She really did an excellent job incorporating the awesome graphics on the papers!
When our family travels, it's good to get out and get fresh air, but the kids really love (and it's much more relaxing for me) if we sleep in nice, cozy beds so we'll be well-rested for our next exploration!

littlen said...

i'm really liking this paper collection. all the projects are fantastic. my idea of "roughing" it is to go down to the restaurant for breakfast instead of calling for room service.

Chantal Vandenberg said...

Eye-popping work! I love all the examples - so bold and striking! I would love to go 5 star! All the way, baby!!! :D
