Day 3 ~ The i-top 2.0

The i-top 2.0 can be used to create so many amazing projects.
Hopefully you've noticed that over these last 2 days.
But we're not done yet. We've got another great show for you today so take a seat, get another cup of coffee and enjoy!!

The projects that the girls are showing today have been created using a variety of Brad Daddies (i.e 34mm ) and the Button Daddies (extra large - 34mm).

"Thankful" card

Aphra created this stunning Thanksgiving card and used the i-top 2.0 to create a brad for the center of the floral arrangement. We love all the layers and dimension on here!

Fall Necklace

Lydia has been at her crafty magic again and created this stunning piece of jewellry with her i-top 2.0, a 34mm button which she covered and then threaded onto a choker necklace. She embellished it beautifully with some feathers and some Glam Rocks using the i-top tool.

Thanksgiving Card

Cristal's children wanted to use her scrapbooking tools recently to make some cards for their teachers and grandparents. They used some twine to wrap around the brad daddy, cardstock, googly eyes (of course) and Imaginisce patterned paper.
Isn't he cute??? Great job Hobbs kids!

Fall Brooch

This breathtaking design was created using the extra large button (34mm) and covered with burlap. Erin finished it off perfectly with some silk flowers, twigs, tulle and put it on a pin backing.

Thanksgiving Napkin Ring

At the Smith's Thanksgiving dinner they write down what they are thankful for and then place those papers in a decorated vase in the center of the table. Shemaine's father reads all of them outloud after they said Grace.
What a wonderful tradition Shemaine.

There are so many possibilities with those extra large... loved the fall brooch!

Love these projects! The bigger the brads, the better they are!
Our tradition at Thanksgiving is since we have the whole family together, we take our group pictures. Mom gets pictures of and with all of her grandbabies. :)

We don't have a Thanksgiving tradition. We are Canadian and celebrate in October. We used to go to my inlaws for dinner (I HATE cooking) but since they smoke and I am allergic I can't handle an overnight there. We take the day to relax...this year I went to a HUGE craft show (which I have been too before).

I'm really tempted to say that my favorite to say that my favorite Thanksgiving tradition is the turkey with all the stuffings!!! (it is SO good! - hehehe), but i have to say that it is the family getting together and having some quality time. There's nothing i am more thankful for than family :)

Our traditions are tied to the meal we eat. Every Thanksgiving we have my mom's meat stuffing, squash, turkey, and mashed potatoes. Dessert is a free for all, but we never vary that meal. Miss my Mom dearly, but love that she left us with so many memories!

Anna said...

Our tradition is just getting the family all together to stuff ourselves! LOL!! No really we don't really have any traditions other than getting our tree the day after! :)

An old tradition in our family was to go to Christmas Tree Valley the day after Christmas! We don't do it anymore because they closed down, but we all have fond memories!!! Thanks for a chance to win--I've been longing for an I-top!

I am Canadian so had Thanksgiving back in October. Our tradition if you call it that is to have a full house. We invite our single friends and our family to dinner. I love to cook and everyone loves my bread/cheese dressing. Happy Thanksgiving all and love all the ideas that I can use next year at my table.

Fantastic projects today. I am really liking that burlap on the button and that turkey is adorable.

I really like the layered flower and that brooch is beautiful!

Other then the food choices, I don't think I have any thanksgiving traditions.I'd love to start one I had seen on the internet. For a month before everyone in the house puts a little note in a cup each day saying 1 thing they are thankful for or something nice they did for someone else that day. On thanksgiving all the little notes are taken out and read out loud for everyone to hear. I thought this was really nice and something I would like to try next year. I don't remember where I saw this but it stuck in my head.

Thanksgiving was always a formal dinner prepared by me as a gift of thanks to my family. Since the kids are grown and gone far away and it is just the two of us, I still prepare our Thanksgiving meal as a gift to my husband, to say thank you for all the things he is to me, and all the things he does for me to make my life easier.

More beautiful projects from the DT girls!! I especially love the project from Pinky's kids!! I'm always on the lookout for projects my daughter can do!

The only tradition I can think of that we do is having our own little family Thanksgiving dinner the Saturday before Thanksgiving Day. It gets so crazy with the whole family together. So it's nice to be able to sit down together and really talk and have good family quality time at this thankful time of year!

Love the Fall Necklace and the Napkin Ring! So pretty & fun!

Our only family tradition is getting together and having fun & way too much food. We actually end up doing it twice since I'm the kid of divorced parents, we visit each side of the family. 2 turkey dinners in 5 hours in a lot of food. :-)

Holly and little people said...

We go around the table and starting with the letter A and the first person, we say what we are thankful for until we reach the letter Z. One letter per person until you are done.

We have a table cloth that is some combination of paper and fabric. I bought it several years ago and now can't find another to save my life. Anyway, it comes out every Thanksgiving along with the crayons. Guests add to it every year and look forward to looking back at what they wrote or drew in years past. It's so full now and I want another! Maybe we will just flip it over... Thanks for the chance to win!

Our favorite family Thanksgiving tradition is after dinner and everyone's settled, we gather around the table and play board games for hours while the kids play together. Eating pie and playing games is the highlight of the day.
I love Shemaine's tradition- I would love to start that tradition in our family.

We started a new tradition a few years ago after we got the Nintendo Wii. After we stuff ourselves with turkey, trimmings and dessert, we all gather to play Rockband. We have a great time singing a-long and cheering eath other on. This year even my husband's 86 year old grandmother sang a song.
