Day 4 ~ The i-top 2.0

We're thrilled that you are joining us again today for the final day of our release of the new i-top 2.0 tool. We hope that you've been enjoying all of the projects that we've shared so far.

If you've got some scrapbooking friends on your Christmas list this year then this would make the perfect gift (or just put it on your list!!)
It's not only used for scrapbooking but sewing, quilting, school class projects, jewellry, house decor, etc.

Let's see what our Design Team has to share with us today.

Samantha Hauzer
"So Thankful"

Samantha created this layout using an adorable picture of her children. We are all thankful for our family & friends and documenting those feelingst on a layout is a great way to share those thoughts with those we love so dearly.
On this page Samantha used the i-top and some brads to create a clean line of embellishments.

Melinda Spinks
"Thankful" frame

Here's a quote from Melinda regarding this stunning frame that she created.

"I decided to make a frame using our home grown wheat to hang on the wall and remind us to be thankful for the food we produce and to celebrate that we are having our first reasonable season in nearly a decade. The new i-top 2 extra large size brad daddies are perfect for thicker fabric like the recycled face-washer I used and the burlap is also a breeze with the new tool as the brads don't fall out beneath the fabric, now that is has the rubber ends. Love it!"

Kim Holmes
"Today I am Thankful"

We think this is a wonderful idea. Kim created an 8 1/2 x 11 layout that will travel around her Thanksgiving table gathering all
their family blessings this year - then it will go straight into her holiday album!

we really don't celebrate thanksgiving in the Philippines. I do remember regular sunday luncheons with the family especially when my Father was still alive. I miss those luncheons, its one thing I look forward whenever I go home. I used to work in an island before.

Thanksgiving wasn't a huge deal in our home growing up. My parents didn't come to the states until just before my older sister was born, so it was new to them too, but we've gotten better at it as time has gone on. But one of my lasting memories is realizing that most people have their meal in the middle of the afternoon....my parents always treated it as dinner and I didn't figure it out until I was at college visiting someone else for Thanksgiving. BTW, I am IN LOVE with that Thanksgiving frame. STUNNING!

I don't have a favorite Thanksgiving memory... but what i remember most about Thanksgiving as a child is helping my mom with the supper, setting the table for her, helping her in the little ways that i could. It was always the times that we got to talk together the most, from mother to daughter. It still is today :)

Since I'm English I've only ever celebrated one Thanksgiving and that was a Canadian one back in October '94. I had my first taste of pumpkin pie! Maybe I should say it's an 'acquired' taste!

My favorite memory was the year we had an impromptu food fight...even Mom and Dad got in on it. Now everyone sits on the edge of their seat wondering if it's going to happen again...Mom warned us that it better NOT!
This too is a must have! I added it to my list! Now if I can only explain to hubby what it is! lol

My favorite memory is the last Thanksgiving gathering we had at my aunt and uncles home before he passed away. He was very sick but we all had such a wonderful time together, tell jokes and sharing stories from the past. I documented it with pictures and "thankful cards" and later scrapbooked them into a book for my aunt.

A favorite memory is when I got busted by my oldest son for roasting a large chicken instead of a turkey, and pretending it was the latter! I never did it again! We had turkey from on, as long as our sons were at home. Now it's just the two of us alone, and we're back to chicken!

My favorite memory goes back to when we use to go to my Grandmother's house for Thanksgiving day. There would always be way too much food but it was all delicious. And all the cousins and aunts and uncles would have a great time together. And after dishes were done we would load into the cars and go downtown to look at the Christmas displays in the department store windows.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

I love our traditional Thanksgiving weekend walks in the woods. In Canada Thanksgiving falls earlier so the weather is usually quite lovely and the trees are at their height of colour.

Thanks for all the inspiration this week. I love the wheat frame with those burlap covered brads!

I love going to my husband's family Thanksgiving meals. After we've eaten and cleaned up it's game time. We usually play Mad Gab or Pictionary. We always have a lot of fun and laughs.

Wishing all a very happy Thansgiving or just a very special day to those who don't celebrate! Beautiful projects today from the DT girls as always!

The year we had to bring the TV set into the dining room so that the guys could sit at the dining room table and eat and watch football at the same time. And that was long before anyone had a color TV or a big screen. After cooking all morning, no way were they getting TV trays to eat in the living room! Iris

I remember playing with my cousins in the green space across the street from my grandparents house after the Turkey dinner. There's a bunch of trees and bushes and my cousin and I would pretend to be woodland fairies :)

So many great things to see over the past 3 days. Thank you for sharing all of them.

Best thanksgiving memory was one where my mom just got a new oven and the darn thing wouldn't work. Turkey Dinner was at 930 at night, but we had a fantastic time as a family throughout the day.

Happy Thanksgiving

My favorite thing about Thanksgiving is spending time with the family. Our oldest lives out of state and this year he got to come home and be with the rest of us! We won't have our dinner until tomorrow (Friday) so that he can visit with other family members! I can't wait to see what memories we make this year!

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Australia, but we DO have 'harvest festival', a church day, which is a very special service of thanksgiving ~ my fave service was in a little country town [1 general store, 1 pub, & 2 churches ... that was IT!] that I lived in called Amphitheatre, in Victoria. All the farmers brought a TON of produce to be blessed, & then it was sent to the next biggest town for those in need. Great idea:)

My favorite Thanksgiving memory is deciding to go see a family movie after the big meal. I can't wait until my youngest is a little older to do this.

I have seen my friend use the iTop and I'd love to get one for Christmas. :)

My favorite Thanksgiving memory is the of the year that I made my first turkey for my family. Most years we would get together with my extended family and my mom did all of the cooking. We had moved out of state and we couldn't get back home for the holiday. The turkey turned out really well and everyone raved about the taste all day.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day and full of family and friends and love!!
Fantastic projects. I love all of the posts this week. It really convinces me that I need an i-top!

Thanks to everyone who created the wonderful projects that were posted this week.
Here's my favourite Thanksgiving memory. A few years ago we had my husband's family over for Thanksgiving for the first time (we usually went to one of his sisters). It was a really warm day and everything was going great until mid-afternoon. It started pouring rain and the kids were having a great time playing outside. Then just as we were finishing getting the food ready, the power went out, so the search began to find lots of candles. All 17 of us ended up eating by candlelight and the power came back on just as we were finishing dessert. To this day whenever we offer to host a dinner, everyone offers to bring candles, just in case. :)

My fave memory is having my husband and two children around the table. I love the school projects - pilgrim hats, milk carton turkeys, etc. I miss those days now that they are 23 and 28. I hate having one of them not home,

my favorite memory is thanksgiving with my immediate family... using the special dishes that were grandma's, sparkling cider in champagne flutes, and each of us going around the table and, with each of our five kernels of corn, telling five things we are thankful for.

Here in Oz we don't celebrate thanks giving, but our family love to get away and go camping together.

I would say today's memory has to rank right up top. After the feast today, my sisters and nieces were working on crafts for a Santa Secret Shop I am hosting next month. I thought it would be fun to give the kids a place to shop to finish up their Christmas shopping for their parents, grandparents, siblings, etc. It is exciting to see my family members getting crafty for a change. My only criteria for the Santa Secret Shop was that all items be hand made crafts. It is going to be a blast.
