Have you seen that Staples commercial on TV where the smiling Dad is pushing the shopping cart and has a bit of a 'skip' to his step with his children following behind with grumpy faces and all the while the familiar tune "It's the Most Wonderful Time of Year" is playing ???
I love that commercial and yes, ... it is that time of year again.
For many of you your kids have already started back to school and for others we still have a few more weeks left of summer vacation before the kids head back after Labor Day weekend. Either way we are all thinking about back to school, the school supplies we will have to get, the new clothes as I'm sure many kids have sprouted up over the summer months and signing up for fall activities. Everything is getting into full swing.
So with that theme in mind we challenged our Design Team to create some "Back to School" projects (layouts, cards, teacher gifts, student gifts, etc. ) and incorporate ONE Imaginisce tool as well.
We will be sharing projects all week long so we want to encourage you to stop by this week.

Today we have Diana & Regina sharing some projects with us.

I wanted to make a layout that would hold Nate's Caring Kids awards from his teacher. Using an apple card cut from the Cameo, I created a folder that tucks away his little awards. Adding the picture of him and his teacher makes the awards all that more of a keepsake.
SUPPLIES: Imaginisce Makin' Waves, Christmas Cheer, Hello Cupcake pattern paper. Sole Sisters chipboard. Happy Harvest canvas sticker. i-rock and Hot Rocks Compact. foam alphas.

My mother-in-law has these wonderful frames in her home that show off her children's school pictures year by year and I've long admired them. I wanted to create one for my own little rugrat, who just finished his second year of school. Now, since my lil' guy has only 2 photos, I wanted to still be able to put up the frame so I filled it with the fun patterned paper from the Geek is Chic collection.
I wanted some large brads but couldn't find any that really matched, so I decided to make my own -- I used the i-Top and Brad Daddies to make these cute, coordinating brads.
Supply List:
Patterned Paper: Geek is Chic collection (Imaginisce)
Cardstock: textured (American Crafts)
Tools: i-Top (Imaginisce)
Accents: Brad Daddies (Imaginisce)
Dies: Itty-Bitty Framelits (Stampin' Up!)
Electronic File: Love Page Layout (Alaa'K for Silhouette)
Other: Shadowbox (generic)
