MIx It Up - Day 3

Thanks for joining us again today for another Mix it Up day.

The DT was challenged to create a project mixing up 3 collections (using paper from 1, chipboard embellishments from another and die cuts from a third collection).

Today we have Ilene & Guiseppa sharing their work.

Mixing and matching different collections is one of my favorite things to do. As long as you can find some sort of connecting theme or color, even if it's a stretch, you can still make it work.

For example, the die-cut title was from the "Hello Cupcake" collection, but the pink matched relatively well, and the sentiment itself went with the layout.

And the chipboard leaves I used from the "Monster Mash" collection were even more of a stretch, but they did match the photo itself, so they created a nice accent.

Supplies: Paper, Buttons, Stickers: Imaginisce (Love You More), Die Cut: Imaginisce (Hello Cupcake), Chipboard Stickers: Imaginisce (Monster Mash), Bling: Recollections, Flower: IAmRoses.com, Color Spray: Maya Road, Chalk Ink: Tsukineko, Other: cardstock

I love mixing up different collections, so I decided to  mix it up real good this time.  I created this pick jar.  It is full of picks for all holidays plus a birthday one.  Now, if I want that added embellishment to add to the packaging of my gift, in a birthday cake or for any decoration...I have one.  Imaginisce's collections were perfect to create this fun project.

Imaginisce Supplies: Hello Cupcake- patterned paper and Die Cuts, Love You More- patterned paper and Stickers, Hippity Hop- patterned paper and Die Cuts, Christmas Cheer- patterned paper, Making waves- patterned paper, Monster Mash- patterned paper, Canvas Stickers and Sticker Stackers
