i-Top Feature Week - Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of our i-Top Feature Week.

Today a few of our designers are going to share projects with you using the i-top Buttons and Badges.
The Badges come in a variety of sizes ranging from 16mm, 22mm,  28mm to 34mm)
Badges

The Buttons also come in a variety of sizes (16mm, 22mm, 28mm and 34mm)
Buttons
When creating the largest size of these you will also need to use the Extra Large Head Set (34mm)
... and the Extra Large Paper Punch.

Let's see what our designers have created.

"Cheer" Badges

My son plays travel baseball around our county in a year-round under-8 league. We are often traveling to ball fields we aren't familiar with — what a great way to show "We're with Nate!" by wearing these pins. I love how easy it was to make them using the i-top and the extra large badges. I was able to make one for each of us that go to nearly every game.

Here's a few step-by-step photos of Diana's project.

1.  Gather supplies needed (i-top tool, badge daddies, punch, printed photos)

2.  Using the i-top punch, punch out the photos.

3.  Use the i-top tool and attach the punched out photo to the top of the badge daddy.

 4.  Now adhere the top of the badge daddy to the back of the badge daddy embellishment.

SUPPLIES: Imaginisce tools (i-top, extra large badges, extra large i-top punch), Imaginisce paper (Childhood Memories), white gel pen, corner rounder, small hole punch, The Twinery (stone)

"Appreciation badges"

With the school year winding down I was thinking of ways to thank the teachers and other volunteers who give up their free time for our youth; Scout leaders, coaches, religious education teachers, booster club organizers, etc...
THANK YOU for all you do!!  I have organized many volunteer appreciations through the years. These badges would be perfect to pin on the honorees.

Here is how you can print on the badges...
Create your text in a word processing program. Use a bold font so that it shows up better.
Print the text on a sheet of computer paper.
Punch out the badge top from your pattern paper.

Apply some removable glue tabs to the back of the pattern paper and adhere over your text.
If you hold the paper up to the light (looking at the backside) you'll be able to see to center it over the text.

Now run it through the printer again.

Pretty Pins

One of my favorite accessories to an outfit is a pin!  I love to collect vintage pins of all kinds but with the i-Top I now love making my own pins!  I have a few to share with you today!

My first pin started with a Large Badge Daddy which has a back like a traditional safety pin.  I cut out my green fabric for the top and stitched the pink felt heart on it along with a little other sticking for more color.  I covered the top of the Badge Daddy with the green fabric - this was so easy it just took one little squeeze!  I then put the back on and it was done!  I had this done in 10 minutes!  I am sporting it regularly the my petty pink scarf.

The second pin started with a Small Badge Daddy.  Using my sizzix I cut out a few fabric flowers and layered them tougher.  I free cut the leaves and stitched them on the back side of the flower.  With the i-Top I  covered the Badge Daddy with blue fabric to be the center of my flower.  I then slipped the Badge Daddy through the center of my flower and pinned it on my spring coat!

Supplies: Imaginisce: Badge Daddy (large & small);
Other:felt (green, pink), fabric, Sizzix die-cut machine

I would love to make some special buttons that coordinate with my daughters dresses, sometimes that's the hardest thing to find-the right button!

Wonderful projects ladies. I would make buttons for my cards and layouts. I am also loving the idea of the kids pic's on them and making them so you can attach them to your shirt, hat, or anything else desired. Thank for the chance. I would love to try this out.

I think that making
family tags for a reunion
would be fun to use the
badges for.
