Kids Crafts with Suzanna

Welcome to Day 4 of our Kids Crafts Feature.

We are loving all of the great ideas that our Design Team have been sharing with us so far this week.  Have you had a chance to try any of them out yet?
If so, we'd love for you to share your work with us.  Just take a picture of your project and post it on our Facebook Page.

Today we have designer Suzanna Lee sharing her creativity with us.

Kids Canvas Art

I don't know about things at your house but when you are a crafting Mum, the kids are crafting kids too! Sound familiar? My daughter in particular! She LOVES to sit at her craft desk and do her thing while I scrap the day away. She announced just the other day that she's not a layout lady like Mum but she's a card gal!!

Inspired by a project that I created at Crafters Home (the show before CHA for store buyers) with Hazel and Ruby, Mia wanted to create a similar project of her own. So we gathered our supplies and set out on a crafting adventure together.

Supplies:
- 9x12 thin canvas
- ModPodge
- brushes
- paint
- vinyl letters (cut using my Cameo)
- patterned paper (Imaginsice Endless Summer)
- die cuts (Imaginisce Endless Summer)
- ribbon

Instructions
- Cover the canvas in ModPodge using a brush.

- Put patterned paper and trim as necessary. Be sure to rub out the air bubbles.
- Apply vinyl letters - don't push too hard and make sure your ModPodge is dry before painting.
- Paint over the whole lot!

- Slowly, careful lift up the vinyl letters.
- Decorate with die cuts and picture.
- Use tape to secure ribbon to the back.
- Step back and admire your handy work.

What a super fun project!!!
Thanks Suzanna.

What a cute project! Love how you can adapt this to any age group and they can make it their own. Your model is adorable too!
