It's Winter!

Brrr!!! How many of you have been saying that lately?
It seems like winter has hit many places quite hard this year.  But we hope to keep your warm with these fabulous 'winter' themed projects this week.

This year Imaginisce didn't have a winter themed collection other than the Christmas/holiday collection. So it was a bit of a challenge but these ladies have outdone themselves with incredible projects. So we hope that you'll join us each day this coming week to see what they've created.

Let's get started.

"Snow Much Fun"

This week is all about Winter Fun. Well in Minnesota there is lots of fun to be had! I wanted to convey a feeling of being outdoors in my layout so I decided to use the Outdoor Adventure papers. I created my snowflake background and my title using my Silhouette machine.

I thought it would be fun to add a vellum pocket filled with sequins for some sparkle and interest. My i-Rock came in handy too for more sparkle :) The snowflake background is available on my blog for a free download; http://onescrapatatime-bymumsie.blogspot.com/

Supplies:
Imaginisce : Pattern Papers (Outdoor Adventure, Colors of Christmas), Die Cut (Colors of Christmas), Bling (Colors of Christmas), Stickers (Outdoor Adventure), i-Rock, Hot Rock Crystals, Foam Adhesive
American Crafts: cardstock

"First Snow"

I had these pictures of our baby boy and his first snow experience. As you can see, he was not a happy camper, lol. Since my photos were slightly darker with his and my husbands clothing, I wanted to keep my layout light and fun.  I found this great snowflake wreath in the silhouette store, and knew I wanted to use it to "house" my photos.

Then from there I simply started layering on items in the similar color scheme.

Using the knock out star border punch and some red glitter tape. I was able to add in just a little more of that pop of red. Then I used the negative border to add some interest and more color to the top and bottom of my layout.

Supply List:
Imaginisce: Patterned Paper: (Colors of Christmas), Stickers: (Colors of Christmas) Adhesive Gems: (My Baby)
American Crafts: Thickers, glitter tape, knock out punch, foam adhesive & white cardstock
