Take a look at how Katrina used our D-stress tool on her fabulous layout!
D-Stress Your Layout
Wow! Just blink and October is going to be gone! Fall around here is all about football seasons and homecoming celebrations. We attended a homecoming parade earlier in the month and being the Katrina that I am, I took along the camera.
I got these cute pictures of Bekah grabbing candy and filling the pockets of her sweatshirt. I knew I had to scrap them and the Little Princess collection went great with her sweatshirt.
And, I wanted to do something a little different that I hadn't done for awhile, which was distress most of my edges. I got busy with the D-Stress Cordless and had a lot of fun. I usually use scissors, but I always end up tearing my paper more than I want or just plain cutting it! The D-Stress works great and you can do as much or as little as you want.
Here is a section that has various degrees of edging. The outside layer, I didn't do quite as much, as I wanted my layout to lay flat. As I worked into the layers, I did a little more. If you hold the tool in one place and add just a little pressure, you can create divots and more worn areas on your edge.
And it does banner GREAT! Loved that I kept the shape of my banner, while making my edges have more character! And I added some of the Little Princess Bling Gems, because a candy layout needs some sparkle.
And I just had fun making a big title. I die cut "candy" out of my teal layer and then backed it with the multi color polka dot paper in the collection. To add some more fun, I die cut the word again out of a piece of 6 x 6 pattern paper. I offset and popped those letters up, just to give a little more fun with the title.
Thanks for stopping by the Imaginisce blog today. If you would like to see another project using some of these same techniques that I have shown here, you can find a project on my personal blog Paper, Scissors and Glue HERE.
