Brrrr!!! Pirate Party Decor!

Today we are excited to share this amazing project that would make any child squeal with delight!!!

Hello crafty friends!

This week we are enjoying a craft theme on the Imaginisce blog!  I love crafts of all kinds and because my family and I live on a street with the word "Pirate" in it, I thought it would be fun to put the fabulous papers and embellishments from the Par-r-rty Me Hearty collection to work making some fun elements for an adult party.  In our neighbourhood we are all pirates at heart and really why should the kiddies have all the fun!

So what makes a fun adult party?  Pretty drinks in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions, cupcakes and good friends!  So I whipped up some lemon cupcakes with lemony cream cheese frosting and some pretty drinks that coordinate with the Par-r-rty Me Hearty collection, because that is important, right?!

Then I decided that cupcake "to go" boxes were a must!  And what could be more perfect than a treasure chest box!

Actually, it was the lock shaped foam charm that inspired the need for this box!

So I designed a cut file for my Silhouette to create these fun little treasure boxes with cupcake wells in the centre.

Even the cupcakes received some decorative treatment!  Fun die cuts adhered to sucker sticks with a bit of Washi tape meant I could whip up several of these in no time!

I couldn't resist taking some of the foam charms and tying them to the stems of wine glasses!

Here is a little close up!  Are you an Angel fish or a Clown fish?!

The last thing I did for my party setting was to cut these fun palm fronds from this pretty green patterned paper.

A little hole punching and they sit so nicely on the straw!

I have to say that even though these projects added a nice festive touch to a party, they really didn't take long to make or require a lot of product.  It is super fun to look to your scrapbooking supplies when you are preparing for a gathering.  You may be surprised at how many ways you can use them.  And in the case of the wine charms, you can easily pull them off and put them back into your stash for a layout when the party is over!

Quite an interesting post! You really did fantastic work for this pirate themed party. All creativities are very cute. We have also been looking for some good party venues in NYC for our niece’s birthday bash. Would love to have a girlish theme for party.
