Easter is just around the corner and our Design Team have some great projects to share with you this week.
Happy Spring crafty friends! It's Laura here sharing a page for our Easter theme this week!
I decided to use the Sunny collection to create my Easter page, I just love the bright colours and had so much fun using this summery collection in another way!
I started my page by creating a "patchwork" egg cut file so that I could decorate it with lots of patterned papers from this fun line. These photos of my youngest son dying egg are from a couple of years back. He just became a teenager last week and I am really missing the little kid phase already!
I love that this collection goes so well with the brightly coloured die bowls in the photo.
I added some machine stitching to reinforce the patchwork look, I love the texture that it adds, even if it is not perfect ;) I also added some water colour paints and Color Shine to my background.
Can I tell you how much I am loving the alphas in this collection? They are sort of like vinyl and somewhat translucent and add a really interesting look and texture to the page. I used them for half of my title and die cut the other half, onto which I added some hand stitching.
There are a lot of differences in the embellishments between this collection and Par-r-rty Me Hearty, I am loving that Imaginisce has changed things up and is keeping things fresh! This time around there are word stickers, which are a great way to add quick "journaling" as well as these fun 3D die cut stickers.
Oh and some seriously cute acrylic pieces that are mixed in with the die cut pack! This little sun makes me so happy, I backed it with a circle punched from white cardstock so the patterns behind it did not detract from his little face.
Isn't this colour combination just so yummy! I know Spring has just arrived, but now I am craving summer!
