Release Party for Garden Party: Box of Tags Tutorial

Today we begin shipping our "sPriNg" collection, Garden Party

Yes, you heard it...spring! I know it's right before winter and there's still snow on the ground, but give it a week or two and you'll be thinking spring too. Join us this week through next Monday for tons of inspiration using the new Garden Party and your chance to win a Garden Party prize package.

The Paper Life
The fabulous Amy Coon featured the new Garden Party collection over on The Paper Life blog...be sure to take a minute to check out her post and see what her talented Paper Girl created with the Garden Party.

The Scrap Review
The awesome Ashley Harris reviewed the Garden Party collection over on her Scrap Review site recently and emailed me that it was a huge hit. Be sure to jump over to her site and check out the inspiration she created with the new Garden Party Collection too!

Now for more Design Team inspiration....
Hello Imaginisce fans ! I'm Aida and I hope you've enjoyed the wonderful December Daily projects and ideas by the Design Team. HUGE congratulations to all the winners of the fabulous Cottage Christmas packs, the Cricut and Imaginisce tools !!!

Garden Party has got to be one of the sweetest lines Imaginisce has ever come up with and to add to this exciting launch, I'd like to share this Box of Tags with you.

You will need any combination of papers from Garden Party.

Other items are : the i-Top and Large Brads, the Floral Flourish in Pinks . I used the Sizzix Tag Die to cut 6 pieces of tags measuring 6 X 3 inches in chipboard, then glued Garden Party pattern paper to both sides of each tag. You an add more tags to the project if you like. The tags were trimmed to different lengths to create a stepped look at the final assembling.

Depending on the number of tags you are making, die cut pattern paper into large blooms for each of the tags. Back the paper flower with cardstock and trim to a thin mat around the flower. Punch out 1 inch circle in pattern paper for each flower. Attach the fabric flower, a 1 inch paper circle and the large i-Top brad as the flower center.

Below is the template for the box.

I die cut a bracket shape to front of the box to make it more interesting. The back and the front of the box were made stronger by the addition of chipboard covered in pattern paper. Decorate the front of the box with another die-cut flower and cream grosgrain ribbon.

These are the tags that have the paper blooms and a Garden Party cardstock sticker added to the tops

Finally, stack the different tags in the box with the tallest at the back to the shortest in the front.

This project would make a great gift for a non-scrapper as the tags are easy to fill with small photos of the family and journaling can be added on the back of each tag.

Thank you for joining me at Imaginisce, have fun making this project !

How to win....
