i-Space with Cari Locken

Hi there! I’m excited to share my space with you today as I spend many, many hours here. It’s my happy, creative, time alone space (for the most part!)

It’s not overly large in any way but I’ve managed to find places for everything. Although regular purging sessions are still necessary as space is limited and I could never use up all that I’ve accumulated.

Here’s where I sit & create for hours.

My desk and the cupboard above and beside my desk are from Ikea. The cupboard store some business folders, class projects, all my computer disks/photos and Bazzill cardstock. The baskets above the cabinets hold my collection of mini albums, items to alter, cards that I’ve made, ribbon (that I don’t always use), acrylic blocks and stamping inks (that I use for classes).

The cabinet beside my desk holds my computer and photo paper, paints, stamping inks, ribbon boxes (yes I have quite a bit), tins of Maya Road chipboard & embellishments and Coluzzle templates.

(I have found that storing my ribbon this way has helped me to use more of it because I can sift through the various colors so much easier).

The storage unit under my desk holds all of my punches. Each drawer holds different sizes.

The bookshelf behind my chair stores my magazines, my Cricut Expression and cartridges, my basket of adhesives (that I can just leave on my desk when working or swing around to reach an item when I need it), some tiny cats eye ink pads , baskets hold product for various manufacturers that I’m on, flowers on the top shelf and some little projects I’ve made that I display.

My white Rubbermaid storage containers:

1n one complete set stores a lot of my Imaginisce product (chipboard, stickers, rub-ons, ribbons, stamps, imaginisce tools & accessories, flowers. The bottom 2 drawers hold some American Crafts Thickers and all my plastic bags that I use for teaching.

Another set holds a bunch of my Canadian Scrapbooker supplies.

The last continaer stores my sewing stuff, more stamps and glues, glitter powders & embroidery floss.

Above these units I have a basket that holds all of my mists & sprays and some mini albums that I’ve made.

The other white storage unit that I have in my room is where I store all of my Core’dinations cardstock (on the bottom shelves).

In the drawers I’ve put metals embellishments, brads, ribbon (that I use for teaching), stamps (myStampBox) and chipboard alphas.

And the messy area is my closet (so I’m glad I have doors to close it off) is where I store all of my patterned papers.

In the wide white boxes are my Cuttlebug embossing folders and Spellbinders dies, some fabric & felts, older chipboard alphas & embellishments. And as you can see some other things get stored in there as well.
