Good morning my Imaginisce friends,
it is me Pinky with a step by step tutorial for my HOG THE BLOG day!
I really wanted to make a video but with a project so large
I decided a step by step tutorial would be much more affective.

This advent calendar will easily hold small candies, tags, or photos.
I am going to use this for photos, I have printed up 24 photos in
1X2 size for my boys and every day they will pull out another photo
and we can reminisce about the past year ending up on the last few days of
Christmas 2010.

I just thought it would be a great way to create family time every day.
We have several advent calendars in our home and this will make
another great treasure hunt! The entire project was made with
Glue Arts Glue, tulle, and some glitter glue.

Step 1
Cut 24 2 1/4" X 3" from Peppermint Stick paper
for the pockets, cut 6 12"X 1" strips
from the Spot UV Peppermint Stick paper.

Step 2
Punch or use your die cut machine to create 24 1 3/4" labels
from the Holiday Hoopla Paper.

Step 3
On each die cut/punch stamp the numbers (or use chipboard) 1-24.

Step 4
Adhere strips to front of "pocket" and carefully trim off excess.
Be extra careful to lay pockets side by side to keep all striped even.

Step 5
Using Imaginisce Colored Foam Tape, add 2 tape dots in the middle of each strip.

Step 6
Carefully adhere each die cut.

Step 7
Using red glitter glue, trim out each die cut/punch, set aside to dry.
Without the glitter glue these sort of blend in.

Step 8
Here I laid out the pockets to get a general idea of where the would lay.

Step 9
Place glue strip on both sides and bottom, leaving the top open.
You could also sew or stitch these pockets on, but for this one I used adhesive.

Step 10
Adhere all 4 corners first, this will help you achieve even pockets.

Step 11
Adhere all pockets, here you can see I slipped a little
package of sweet-tarts into the day 1 pocket.

Step 12
Adhere both pieces to foam board or a thick long cardstock,
trim off excess. Punch holes and add tulle.
Fill with tags, notes, candies, or photos and ENJOY your hand made
