Imaginisce & Xyron - Day 4

We're here today with Day 4 of our BLOG HOP with Xyron.
Wow!!! We've seen so many exciting projects over the past several days.  We sure that you've been enjoying them too.

We're going to keep it going today and start off with designer, Sara Zenger.

"Egg"celent Banner!

Just in time for Easter I have an adorable and simple Easter Egg banner to share with you!  I love making a banners and with each new holiday / season I want to make a new one.  For Easter I had a request from my son to make the banner 'not girly'!  I took this as a challenge!

I started off with kraft card stock for my pennants and then using my cameo cut an egg shape out of white cards to and then a coordinating chevron egg top out of paper from Imaginisce!  I took paper from three of the new collections, Childhood memories, Good Dog and Endless Summer - these were perfect 'non girly' colors!

I am so happy to have had my Xyron handy because running the top chevron layer of my egg through my Xyron made adhering it simple and easy!  Every little part of that egg it glued down tight!

My banner got his approval, it was not cute, it was awesome!

Hop on over to Sara's blog for more pictures of her adorable banner.

Some Bunny

When our Xyron goodies arrived on my doorstep, I was thrilled to see the Megarunner amongst the collection. I have LONG been in search of an adhesive that "wow's" me since I bid my Kokuyo adhesive farewell (oh what a sad day that was...). I am pleased to say, I just might have found THE replacement. I like the dots, I've always preferred dotty adhesive for the simple fact that when you stop rolling, the adhesive stops. I also like that the dots allow you the ability to change your mind without having to redo the layout around the ripped up paper that ensued as a result! My other "beef" with some adhesives is starting over; threading those things and not losing bits and pieces can be challenging. Xyron's Megarunner is just a cartridge that you replace. I need to check into ability to recycle the cartridge and price. I also like that the Megarunner is more portable then my other ATG and has a cover over the dispenser part. So far, so good! Thanks Xyron!!

Check out Suzanna's blog for more pictures of her stunning Easter layout.
