i-bond Extravaganza - Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of our i-bond feature.
We've got another day full of beautiful creations so let's get right to it.

Treat Box

I love to make 3D project using my Silhouette but the problem I always had with them was that they never were really sturdy until I started using my I Bond.  The I Bond seals all the edges and I know they are not going to fall apart like normal adhesive.  Today I have an apple treat box using the Good Dog collection.  I cut the shape out on my Silhouette and then used the I Bond to glue the box together.  I know that whatever I put in it it will stay together and not fall apart.  I have a little video on how I made this cute little box.

Mary Pat has also created a video of her project.  You can check it out on youtube.

Supply list:
paper- Imaginisce Good Dog; i Bond & clear glue sticks; Silhouette- Apple Treat Box

Popsicle Cutie

The i-bond is the perfect adhesive for all of your heavier embellishments! I wanted to create a layout of my daughter and her love for popsicles last summer, and I thought by adding some fun popsicle sticks would be a perfect touch! I used some Distress stains on the wooden popsicle sticks to give them some color, and then created a patterned border.  The i-bond was perfect for getting the popsicle sticks to quickly and neatly!

I also wanted to create a popsicle as an embellishment.  I used some Distress Ink and Shimmerez Spritz to green the limeade popsicle on a piece of neutral color fabric.  I then freehand cut a popsicle like shape from cardboard.

I then used the i-bond to adhere the fabric tightly around the cardboard popsicle. The i-bond worked perfectly to secure the fabric in place and was dry in seconds!

Finally, I added a popsicle stick to the back of the popsicle.

Here's a look at the finished layout and some detail shots as well.

Supplies Used:
Imaginisce Products: Childhood Memories Collection, Childhood Memories Sticker Sheets; i-bond tool
Other Products: Twine by the Twinery; Stampin' Up Punch; Popsicle Sticks, Fabric; Ranger Industries Distress Stains and Ink; Cardstock- American Crafts & Bazzill

Thinking of You Card

I love glue. I have many different types for different uses, but sometimes I really need something that has a strong hold, but without the mess of super glue (my sticky fingers can attest to that!) I love the i-Bond because hot glue is such an excellent adhesive. But, I thought I'd try to do something a little different with it to really show off how great this little tool is.

As an experiment, I "shot" some glue onto a craft sheet (you can get these at your local craft store) which would allow the glue to harden but also allow me to remove it. I used the Mini Glitter Glue Sticks to create some little "rose buds".

To start, I began with just a small dab of glue -- it doesn't have to be perfect.

Then, I swirled the glue around the center, similar to frosting a cupcake, and built a little "bud".

In just a minute, I had sweet little blooms that added some wonderful dimension to my project.

Supplies used:
(patterned paper from Love You More collection) Imaginisce; Tools: i-Bond and Glitter Mini Glue Sticks (Imaginisce); Stamps: (sentiment) Taylored Expressions; Fibers: (grosgrain ribbon) Kate's Paperie; Cardstock: (green, pink, white) Stampin' Up!; Ink: (Purely Pomegranate) Stampin' Up!; Dies: (leafy branch) Taylored Expressions

Ok, I am seriously rethinking my avoidance of glue guns. Love the popsicle layout and ... then are you kidding me ... you can make embellishments with it? Both projects blew me away.
