Check out this darling layout by DT member Laura PLUS she's sharing a free cut file today as well!!
Happy Valentine's Imaginisce friends! I am excited to be here to share some Valentine projects with you!
First up is a punny Valentine layout of my husband and myself.
I started creating this page by adding some Gesso, water colours paints and Texture Paste to the background. I had fun getting messy and adding in the colours of the patterned papers to my white cardstock base.
While that was drying, I busied myself with cutting out the heart shaped shell that I created especially for this page! (Keep reading to see how you can get your own copy of this cut file!)
After layering up all of the patterned papers onto my page, as well as the photos, I created this title piece. I took a rough measurement of the word "Mer-Maid" using the Thickers from the collection and created a print out of the other words, then I trimmed the piece into a banner shape and added in the Thickers. I am really happy with the way that it turned out.
Next up is the fun part, adding in some embellishments, like this cluster to the right of my title. The die cuts, charms and puffy stickers layer so nicely together. I am a huge fan of embellishment clusters!
Here is another cluster that I created, these flowers were fussy cut from one of the patterned papers.
While I was feeling all mushy, I decided to create a couple of bonus projects! So this sweet card and treat container happened!
Aren't they cute! Here is a little closer look at both pieces.
I used the February 1st sketch challenge as a starting point for my card. Just a hint for you, you can link up any type of project based on the sketch!
I cannot recall how this little acrylic box came to land on my desk or even where it came from, but it just screamed to be filled with candy to me!
I kept the embellishing on the box pretty simple, just a sweet die cut and a patterned paper bow created using my Silhouette, with a little starfish on top!
Oh and one final thing before I let you go, I promised you a cut file didn't I!
Please click on the cut file image to be taken to my download page, this Heart Shell is available in Studio, SVG, PNG, and PDF formats.
