Tool Time

Today we're excited to bring you a new feature called ...

In these segments we will have a member of our Design Team showcase a certain Imaginisce tool, create a project(s) and include some step by steps pictures.

Today Rebecca Keppel will be sharing the i-bond (Glue Gun) tool with us and a few creative ways to use it besides the obvious ~ of glueing things together!

*****

Now the basics, of course, with the i-bond tool is to use it to glue things together. In this 1st picture Rebecca used the i-bond to attach the Roly Rosies together.

Another simple yet striking idea is to create the flower's center by filling the rolled flower (Fabric Roly Rosies) with some of our Glitter glue.

A super fun idea ... (that even kids will love - providing they have parental guidance because the i-bond, like any glue gun, gets extremely hot and we all want to keep our fingerprints!!) ... is drawing with the i-bond to create a resist effect.

Rebecca used the Glitter glue sticks and drew several patterns on some tags.
Once the glue was dry, she sprayed them with Maya Mist ....

... and then wiped the mist off the glue patterns with a paper towel.

She really liked the way you can see the sparkle and color of the i-bond glue in relation to the misted tag. (we do too, Rebecca!)

Rebecca used this technique to create a gift tag (the flower on the bottom left is actually a clip from our collection and the demin Roly Rosies).
Isn't this adorable?!

Fabulous projects and super fun ideas Rebecca. Thanks for the great tips!

Tool Time - Video- GiveAway!

Welcome to our new Tool Time segement where we will be showcasing a different Imaginisce tool every couple of weeks and providing you with tips, tricks, maintenance and project ideas to get the most out of your tools. Or for those of you who are yet to own one of our gorgeous pink tools, perhaps we might give you just the right amount of inspiration to put one or two on your wish list!

For our first episode of Tool-Time we are going to head straight for the top of the tool-box and take out the new d-stress Tool as we recieve so many queries in regards to 'what can you do' with a d-stress tool?
And to introduce you to this wonderful little gadget we have none other than our video-queen Cristal 'Pinky' Hobbs who is going to show you all the wonderful things the d-stress can be used to create.

So it is over to Pinky...

Hey everyone Pinky here!
At Imaginisce they want you to know just how much fun
and how useful the tools are, so they asked me to make a little video
tutorial and a project to share my favorite d-stress techniques with you!! And I'm so glad that I get to showcase the d-stress tool as it is fast becoming my all time favourite tool from Imaginisce.

So grab a cuppa and get comfy while I walk you through this clever new pink tool...

Here is a card that I made using my d-stress
and not only on the card itself (the embossing)...

...but also on the acrylic to set the Hot Rocks permanently.

I also d-stressed the flower before painting to give it a shabby chic appearance.

The tag was painted prior to d-stressing to highlight the beautiful yellow colour underneath.

The d-stress is so versatile, you will find yourself reaching for it
time and time again!
It really is one of my favorite tools and I am always
finding new uses for it.
I hope you have enjoyed learning more about this unique tool and been inspired to give it a try.
Pinky
