Christmas Card inspiration!

We're back with some amazing cards that Tracy Gruber created.

Presents Card

Starting off with a black card base that I cut from American Crafts card stock, I then cut the patterned papers from the Pebbles Home For Christmas collection.  I layered them together with more black card stock and then added the tag from American Crafts.

I tied some twine to the top of the tag and then added the banner that is also from American Crafts.  I can never make a card without some sparkle, so I used my I-Rock tool to add clear gems.

Snow Card

Sometimes you need a winter card instead of a holiday card.  This card is perfect to send as a thank you or a simple hello!  I used the pattered papers from the Pebbles Home For Christmas collection.  I also added in a piece of vellum to create a softer background.

I used the dimensional snowflake stickers from American Crafts around the card along with my I-Rock and clear gemstones.

Gingerbread Card

For this card, I started out with the red and green polka dot paper from the Pebbles Home for Christmas collection.  I then added a strip of white card stock that I punched stars into using the American Crafts Knock-Out punches.

I added the cute die cuts from the Pebbles die cut card stock shapes pack.  I couldn't resist adding a little bit of sparkle with the I-Rock tool from Imaginisce to the gingerbread people.

Ho Ho Ho Card

I love Thickers!  Especially sparkly ones, so when I first saw the red glitter letters in my box, I knew I had to put them on a card!  I started with the patterned paper from the Pebbles Home for Christmas collection as my background.  I then stuck the Thickers down to spell out Ho, Ho, Ho.

I added the die cut shapes from American Crafts.  I also added some Glossy Accents onto the holly berries to make them more realistic.  For a little sparkle, I used my I-Rock tool to add clear gems around the holly.

Merry Christmas Card

I decided to keep this card pretty simple.  I started with the candy and text patterned papers from the Pebbles Home For Christmas collection.  I then added a small strip of the green polka dot patterned paper to the center.  

 

I used the Merry Christmas die cut from American Crafts, but I added some white thread behind it before I adhered it down.  The last step was to add some clear gemstones with my I-Rock tool.

Bowling Party!

Whether you're playing card games, celebrating a birthday or just having a fun family night together this new collection is perfect for so many projects.  Check out this fun layout that Tracy created.

The new Family Fun collection has so many awesome colors and themes!  I found a bowling picture in my stash, so of course I had to use the bowling themed papers and embellishments!

I started with the red striped patterned paper for the background.  I then splattered some Teal and Blizzard Mister Huey's on it.  I layered some of the patterned papers behind the photo and adhered them down.

I had to add some bling to the "bowl" die-cut, so I got out my I-Rock tool and went to town!  I used the clear rhinestones to go over each of the letters.  It really helps make the title stand out.

I used the black foam Thickers to finished spelling out the title of my layout.

Welcome Baby!

"Welcome Baby" card

When I first tried out the I-top tool, I was so excited to be able to make my own brads.  I wanted to try to use the punches in a different way though to make a flower. I used the the 16mm, 22mm, and 28mm punches and punched two of each.  I then inked the edges of each "petal" with Pumice Stone Distress Ink.  I layered them together and attached them with a 16mm brad.  I bent some of the "petals" up to make it more dimensional. 

All of the patterned papers I used are from the Little Princess Collection.  I cut out two leaves from the green and white polka dot paper by hand.

I added a few rhinestones and some faux stitching around the edge of the background.  These flowers would also work great on layouts!

Fall Scrapbooking

It's getting closer and closer to fall here and it's even starting to feel more like fall outside.  One of my favorite things to do in the fall is go to the pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins, drink apple cider, and go on a hay ride.  I found this picture of myself from many years ago at the pumpkin patch.  

I used a few patterned papers from the Welcome Spring, Little Princess, and Perfect Vacation collections.  I stuck with the greens, blues, and tans for a fallish, earthy theme.

I cut out all of the leaves from my Silhouette and inked the edges with Walnut Stain Distress ink.  

I created my own embellishments using the I-Top tool and the 16 mm and 22 mm brads.  I used the tan patterned paper from the Welcome Spring collection for these.

Back-to-School Cards

We've got some fabulous cards to share with you - great for welcoming those teachers back!

It's that time for back to school!  I decided to make a couple of cards to give to teacher's to say "hello" to the new school year.  They are also perfect for male teachers because we all know how difficult it is to create masculine cards!  All of the patterned papers I used were from the Perfect Vacation collection.  These cards are perfect for using up all of your scrap pieces!

I cut various stripes of patterned paper and layered them onto the white card base.  I then tied some twine around the card and added the bow and mini clothespin.

I die cut the "hello" word using a Simon Says Stamp die.  I then placed that into the mini clothespin.

I added a couple of clear rhinestones with the I-Rock.  The cork stars also added a fun touch to the card!

My second card is also perfect for using up your scraps!

I cut up the pieces of patterned paper and layered them onto my card base.  I then tied some twine around the front with the mini clothespin.

The hello die cut is the same one I used on my first card.  I added the buttons from the Perfect Vacation collection and some of the I-Rock Gems.

Create a great layout with just a few layers of patterned paper, some brads and die cuts.  It's that simple!

Perfect Vacation

Hello!  It's Tracy here sharing my layout using the Perfect Vacation collection.  I layered pieces of the patterned paper along with two of the journaling pieces from the cut-apart page.

I also created my own embellishments using the I-Top tool.  This is such a neat tool because you can use your own patterned papers or images to create custom brads.  I used the patterned paper from the Perfect Vacation that has the geotags.  These brads are the 22 mm size.

The camera and arrow die cuts are from the Perfect Vacation die cut pack.  I added a few I-Rock gems in coordination colors.

Birthday Banner

Decorating for parties can be so much fun. Plus it's so easy to make your own decorations when we already have so many of the necessary product!

Party Banner

Hi there!  It's Tracy here with a fun and pretty "Princess Birthday Party" banner.  You could even personalize the banner with the name of your little princess.  I used the patterned papers, stamps, and rhinestones from the Little Princess collection.

I used a die from Lawn Fawn to cut out all of the banner and the circle pieces.  I then cut the letters from the Alphalicious Cricut cartridge at 1 3/4 inches from the light purple polka dot paper.  I attached them to the white circles, which are attached to the banners with foam dots.

I stamped the crowns onto card stock and then colored them in with Copic markers.  I fussy cut them out and attached them to the white circles.

Each of the banners is tied together with twine from American Crafts.  I sporadically added rhinestones to the banner for extra sparkle and shine!

Hopefully this inspired you to create your own birthday party banner.  You could use the blue and green papers in this collection to create the same banner for a little prince!

Hi Everyone!  Tracy here from Tracy Mae Design.  I'm sharing my take on the sketch, which is so fun!

I used the patterned papers from the Little Princess collection.  This collection is adorable and the colors are so pretty!

I used some Studio Calico Mist in Mint Julep which matches this collection perfectly!

I used one of the journaling tags from the Little Princess collection to write my journaling on.

Hello!  It's Tracy here with a layout using the My Baby collection.  I love the different patterns in this collection and the elephants!

These elephant die cuts are from the Die-Cut Cardstock Shapes pack.

I inked all of the edges with brown ink to tie everything together.  Don't forget to use the patterned strips at the bottom of each 12x12 sheet!  That is where all of the thinnest strips came from on this layout.

Our Spring Flower

Well, we've come to the final day of our release for our Welcome Spring collection.
Spring is coming!!! Those flowers will start blooming very soon!!

Hi there!  It's Tracy here was a bright and cheery spring-time layout.  I don't know about you, but it has been a very long winter and I am glad to see some flowers…even if it's just on paper!  I used the "Welcome Spring" collection to create my layout.

I used the soft light brown flowered patterned paper for the main background.  I then wanted to use a little of the bright flowered paper for a pop of colour.

The matching buttons and rhinestones are the perfect embellishment on this girly layout!

I also used the floral did cut piece and the owl dimensional sticker.  The owls are my favorite part of this collection!

Layouts of Love!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

We hope that you've been inspired by the incredible designs this past week.
It's clear to see that you can create 'love' themed layouts without even using valentine themed papers. Our DT gals have shown that once again today with their projects. Let's take a look!

Happy Valentine's Day!  I created a simple Valentine's (Love) Layout with some non-Valentine's Day products.  I started with a piece of white card stock and then cut the triangle patterned paper from the My Baby (Girl) collection. I also used this collection to cut the triangle embellishments.

The red patterned paper is from the Colors of Christmas collection.  I distressed the edges of all of the patterned papers and inked them with brown ink.

I cut the sentiment from red card stock using my Silhouette Cameo.

The pink and white tag is also from the My Baby collection.  I used the Knock-Out punches to cut the little red border strip and added the triangles over it.

"My Valentine"

It's not very often that I scrap a picture of just me and my hubby so I was excited to jump into a Valentine layout about us.  I wanted the layout to have a masculine feel with a touch of romance. With that in mind I based my layout around some of the great reds and blacks from the Perfect Vacation line and then built it from there adding in some touches of pink from My Baby.  

To create the variety of hearts I did several using an electronic die cut machine and also did some using a paper punch.  To add variety to similar ones I changed them up and added stitching or popped them up.  I also added little hand cut banners to the big white hearts.  Black outlining on several parts of the layout helped to add some extra pop.
