I can't make it because I am terrified of flying to begin with, and I can afford the airplane ticket or my hubby taking all those days off from work. BUT, I am going to CK Scrap & Play in King if Prussia! I am so hoping Provo/Cricut decides to show up there too! I can't wait to read all the entries from the people who attend the Provo event!!! :-D

I can't make it because it is on the other side of the country and I would have to fly there. My DH cannot watch two kids by himself for a weekend and I cannot afford a babysitter and flying there. I am trying to make arrangements for the event in Valley Forge though. Hope to see Imaginisce there.

Can't make it because I like so many others just cannot afford the trip and I have two kidos in school that can't get off and no babysitter while hubby is at work. BOOHOO Wish it was closer so I could hop on over though..

I can't make it b/c I don't have any vacation days left at work, I don't live in or near Utah, and I spent the money that could have been used on a plane ticket fixing my 11-year-old car. :(

Have fun without us! :)

Oh I would love to but I can not afford a ticket to the event let alone a plane ticket to UT. I need to skrimp & save for our Disney trip in Nov for my little munchkins 2nd birthday. Hardly can afford to do that, but thats when credit cards come in handy.(UGGGH) I would love to win a gypsy, I could play in the car on the way to Disney! Thanks for the opp to win! hugs, Staci

Well, you see, the reason why I can't make it is because my dog ate my homework, my mom locked me in my room and my sister poked me in the eye. That happened all about the same time I backed the care into the garage door and hit the post so I banged up the car and now it won't move. But that wasn't all that happened. My brother punctured the above ground pool and all the water came out and headed right for the house and ran into the basement and flooded the basement where we keep the dog food, which is why the dog ate my homework. So now you know why I can't come.

I can't make it because I have two children and I just can't justify flying across the country. I am a stay at home Mom who drives 94 miles a day running carpool.

I can't make it because I am saving for my youngest sons wedding in less then three months- one week of an out of state wedding!Oh I want one of these so bad I could steal one! (Just kidding) Wink Wink

I can't make it because I'm too dependable. I never miss work and can always to called on to fill in. Without my job I can't afford to play at all.

Colleen said...

I can't make it because I will be celebrating having been a Mom for 17 years by attending the football game to watch both of my daughters in action (student trainer and water girl, ball girl) then watching my now 17 year old march in the band on Friday night and compete in state marching band contest on Saturday. Depending on what time they march on Saturday, I may also be taking a class at my LSS in the afternoon also. In other words, I am way to busy making memories to go celebrate the memories this weekend.

I really wanted to go to Scrap & Play, but my husband decided I needed to go to New Mexico instead to visit my grandparents. I don't get to see them often, so I wouldn't trade, but I will still miss being at Scrap & Play. Maybe next spring.

Well. . . . aside from the fact that I feel like I live in Guam sometimes (I really live on the Eastern Shore) and can't make the trip, I also have kidlings to watch after. I babysit my daughter's daughters (say that in a hurry!) while she works. Sweet rewards, but limited "me" time :)!

I can't make it because I am sending (by plane) my son and husband to Oakland so he can see his best friend. My son is turning eight and all he wanted for his birthday was to see his best friend. So I am sending him w/ my husband for a boy's weekend. I'll be staying home with my 3 yr old daughter. Sounds like you all are going to have a blast!

I don't live anywhere near Provo but the real reason is that I have a date with a space alien. It does sound like a wonderful time though.

I can't make it because I live in Canada and it's just too far to fly right now; my arms would be way too tired ;-)

I am so jealous of the ladies that get to travel and play at these conventions/classes. They look like sooo much fun!! Unfortunately I suffer from multiple health issues which confines me to playing by myself at home. :(

Well I live in Kentucky and I think I would have a hard time convincing my husband to let me go that far.

I would love to go however my DH has been diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. So I do not want to spend time away from him he has good days and bad days. Me traveling and being his only caregiver not a good thing. My DD birthday is coming up and I would give it her because she is struggling as it is. This would make her day. She is another state and worries about her Dad and calls him everyday! I hope to travel soon 2011 and perhaps make it then.. Good Luck applicants I can't believe how generous Provo craft has been with these giveaways

FIRST OF ALL my kitchen was flooded this summer and the insurance company did not cover all the repairs. I am a teacher and with work furlough days being single and I would not trade my boys who are now men for a million dollars it was hard sure but I could not ask for better sons!.
I am doing this to give to a friend she is always doing things for people she is so unselfish it's not funny recently she had things happen to her and I would just love to give this to her. She is always surprising people and takes no recongnition when she does it. They don't even know it's her she is a wonderful friend and I want to win to give to her! She has had so many things happen more than one person can handle and so hopefully the economy gets better and I can win and make someone's day.THanks for the generous offer and fun opportunity.

Well, I live in Houston and I can't really attend another scrapbooking function on my husband's birthday, I don't think he would like it if I did it for a second time... So, I would love it if I could win a gypsy!

LesleyfromWI said...

I can't make it because God forbid my hubby and boys try to find something in the house and I am not there. We have gone over the kitchen layout more than once! :0) I seriously think they would starve to death without me.

I am a full-time Student and work full-time just got hours cut back Yay Economy (boo)... I am loosing my roommate and have to move by myself to make things harder as if there isn't enough struggling going on. I use to scrap with a group of gals but seems like study, work, test take much of my time and now moving. I simply love to travel but not in the cards. I will at least in my new place have a scrap desk now. So I will have a place for my cricut to sit. My birthday is next month and I would love love to have this as a birthday present for my new house , scrap space. I simply hoping my education will help my future. Thanks for such a generous opportunity. I have just got back into blogging and have loved to scrap since I was in high school. I love this is something I can do with my Mom. I love all gadgets and this looks like I could do some really fun things with my cricut. Thanks for a chance to win. Seems provo craft has been generous I've heard with these. Good luck to all the other applicants with the economy at hand I think basically most simply cannot just afford it to go or the gyspy so what a great prize to win.

I can't make it because I've got to save up my vacation time and cash for Thanksgiving and Christmas! Part II of my tasks at home will be to ensure that Mr. almost 3 and can get out of his room at night doesn't get into too much mischief with all of Mommy's scrappy stuff!

With short notice I can't let my friends down this weekend. We have had plans to scrap on Saturday since last year. Its Kim's birthday and she is coming from Seattle Washington area to be with us. I will be thinking of all those great giveaways I will be missing, but being with great friends is a great gift too.

I can't make it because I have already paid for a retreat that was scheduled last November. I am going to have so much fun even if it isn't at the CK Scrap and Play.

I can't make it because I live in kangaroo land (Australia) and didn't win this weeks lotto (12million) LOL! Maybe if I had I could have paid you to come to me, so my darling husband and 2 adorable boys wouldn't miss out on all the fun!

cecilia said...

I can't make it because I have seven Girls and we are barely making it with my hubby being the only bread winner, since for some reason I can't seem to find a job but how exciting it would be to win. winning is always fun even if its something small.

It is a viscous circle... In order to afford to go I have to work... and when do I have to work??? This weekend of course. The only comfort is that I get to help others be creative at work. So for those that are just going to shop I can help them out. The most exciting part is that I am going to demo the new I~Rock and the I~Top. Last week I was inspired at a vendor meeting in Midway. Because I did not work last weekend I could not demo them.... so I am doing it this weekend!!!! Can't wait.... LLL (love love love) the new I~Rock!!!!!!

I can't make it because I live in CT and am afraid of flying.. never mind the perforated eardrum after flying with a sinus infection! I also have two small spirited children that my husband can't handle on his own. Even though I have family in the same town, they're all crazy (seriously, medicated and everything!) and I wouldn't trust them alone with my children! My husband wouldn't know how to take care of the kids on his own - allergies, medications, feeding schedules - one of them would end up in the emergency room before I came back! (Maybe even my husband after hurting something chasing around the 3 year old!)

I would love to come and play this weekend but I"m a bit buried, you see, I'm typing this from under a huge pile of scrapbook supplies. It started out innocently enough....Cause well I'm a collector of scrapbook supplies (you have to be to make awesome creations and besides if I find what I MIGHT NEED tomorrow on sale today I'm saving money right???)

It's really not my fault! I had these shelves and well I went shopping the other day and had to buy adhesive (who doesn't need adhesive) and well then there was some bling that caught my eye...so that got tossed into the cart. Before I knew it I had a cart full well they bagged it up punched my scrap aholic card and I left with my new treasures...

Then I had to get them home....and inside...plotting my route from the back door to the craft corner, It's only 15 feet or so but it goes right past hubby... so get in the door and I took a detour through the kitchen and then around and back...I made it and undetected and that (I've had some practice) ..phew...carefully I when to stash the bag on top of the shelf when

OH NO, the shelf started caving in.... what happened next was like a bad slow motion scene from a horror movie! One shelf toppled onto the next and .onto the next on on to the next one........before I knew it the entire contents of my craft closet was tumbling on top of me..... die cut machines, albums, chipboard, ribbon, bling, buttons....all crashing in......

I called for help but hubby just started laughing said it serves me right, told me I can find my own way out. I tried the kids, they just figured it gave them a chance to play unlimited video games and talk to their friends, I even called for the dogs....they just came up kinda shook their heads and then both went to lay down next to hubby (and geesh and I kept telling hubby he was spoiling the mutts with so many treats...know what side they are on).

Thankfully the laptop was in the area and I was able to dig out a bit to at least be able to grab it...maybe if I send out an SOS to my crafting friends they'll help....nah who am I kidding they would be playing with my stuff before they even got to me...maybe I can find a good online sale!

as much as I'd love to join the fun but still I can't make it because I live in Boston and it's to far to fly there beside I have a 5 years old daughter that need to take care of so it's just impossible for me to be in UT :(

I would love to go, but just started a new job after 10 months of being unemployed. Would hate to lose my job by going on a road trip to Utah.....though fun it would be!

I can't make it to CK Scrap and Play because I've flown 70,000 miles so far this year and somehow flying another 5000 to go scrapping just doesn't seem to be in the cards....

I can't make it because I am teaching a class on scrapbooking at my LSS and I cant afford to fly all my students to Utah.

I can't make it because we're on "baby watch" for my new granddaughter, Aubrey. Can't wait to hold that little girl up on my Nana shoulder and let the love go both ways.

I can't make it, though I wish I could - it sounds like SOOO much fun! however, I recently moved to Tucson with my 8yo to be closer to family and I am still looking for work after two months here! The savings are getting depleted rapidly ....

Have fun there, everyone!

I cant make it b/c that would be a pretty long drive from Mississippi :( Not to mention that I would have to bring all FOUR kiddos and the TWO doggies since the hubby is working 7 days/week.

I can't make it because I am in the United Kingdom a little too far to travel for a day.
I would love a gypsy, I have the expression and design studio which I love to use BUT following an accident which left me with some spinal damage it means I have to spend a lot of time in bed or at times in hospital, the gypsy would give me the freedom to be able to craft even when I can't physically craft.

I can't come because the Enterprise is not in orbit where Scotty can beam me up and then beam me down. Instantanious travel time would be the only way I could make it Utah for a weekend from Texas.

i can't make it because i just had a new baby, bringing my total children to 4! all under the age of five. plus, i'm sleep deprived and would just want to snooze the weekend away!

I would love to be there because my Los Angeles daughter could drive and meet me, but instead I have already planned to go to CT. to do some fall yardwork for my 83 yo Mom! Thanks for a chance to win that Gypsy!!

Where to begin ---- Utah is SO far away from Michigan! Cannot afford to get there. Plus, it is that weekend - the dreaded weekend. Someone must help dear husband take the boat out of the lake at the cottage. Since DS and DD are at college, that leaves me and the dog. We all know the dog is all thumbs!

fancyscrapper said...

First of all, I'm way far away in Georgia, and have no way to get to you. Secondly, I'm already booked to TEACH at a Scrappy Event right here! It will be my first time teaching after over 15 years of scrapbooking experience! Woo Hoo!

Still, I would love to come be with you guys!

I can't make it because I am buying my first home and the home inspection is this weekend. What a great prize.

Melanie Stanczyk said...

I can't make it because I have to take care of the kids, I have to work, I have to help the kids with homework, feed the dog, get the mail, scrapbook and save money to add on to my house!

Honestly, I would love to go, but just isn't in the cards for me.

Angela L. said...

I can't make it because I only have one child... Okay, I know that you're scratching your head and saying, "that crazy nut, having just one child shouldn't keep her from being able to come!" Well, it does because he's 16 and a Junior in high school.... I've waited a whoppin' 26 years to relive my Ring Dance through him so not only is the very rare pure joy of witnessing him dressed up part of it but the sheer cost of paying for an event such as this has made me put all Scrapbook shopping, trips, crops and my beloved kits on a temporary hold...
$423.00 - the NOW price of a class ring
$ 99.00 - the NOW price of a Tux rental
$ 40.00 - the NOW price of Ring Dance Tickets
$ 30.00 - the NOW price of a cosage
$ 40.00 - the NOW price of dinner before dance
$ 50.00 - the NOW price of a memory photo
$ 00.00 - saving the Limo for Prom year
PRICELESS - the memories that will leave us broke for quite sometime!

Anyway...... as if that is NOT a good enough excuse, if I was to go away during this special time of photo taking, I do NOT trust my husband and son to make sure lots of photos were snapped!

Carol said...

I wish I could say that I can't make it for some exotic and fun reason. The sad truth is that I just got back from my brother-in-law's funeral. He was killed in a hunting accident a little over a week ago. I would not want to leave my husband at this difficult time. I love to paper craft but unfortunately I am just not feeling it right now.

serena said...

I can't make it becuase I am enrolled in university after a 20 year hiatus - I don't skip classes like I used to because I am old and smart and realize there is no point in paying someone to not show up for class. that's why I can't make it!

Unknown said...

I'd love to come and play but I live in Alaska and dh would have to 'look after' the kids , the cats and the dogs. In truth - the kids would be running the show.

Well I would absolutely love to be there but unfortunatly the budget cant extend to a flight from my home here in New Zealand because we are saving all our money for our first baby who is due in March. But I am sure that Hubby would say no even if we were not expecting - and just think of all the supplies I could buy with the money just for the flights.

I should win a Gypsy because I'd give it to my friend Dana who is the only one in our little scrap group with a Cricut and no Gypsy. She such a great and loving lady who works at St. Jude helping all those precious children and she deserves it!

Can't make it because 3 of the other 4 family members are sick. Hubby can't even take care of himself when he's sick, let alone take care of himself PLUS 2 others for that amount of time!
