I have a shelf/rack along the back of my table that I put my most used tools on, like my tape runners, wet adhesive, rolls of pop dots, markers/pens, stapler, distressing tools, etc. Then I have a couple paper holders that look like magazine holders that I keep a variety of plain cardstock sorted by color and size at the end of my work table and under the shelf I keep a couple of my favorite stacks of patterned paper, ink pads and ribbon.

Wow look at this I'm the first one to post a comment, I doubt this has ever happened. I love using the clear iris containers to store my paper, I have it broken down by color and when I'm going to a crop I just lift and place in my XXL. Of course I have many other smaller bags that tag a long with me too, as far as something that works great, that is the only thing I have found so far ... though I'm always on the lookout.

Thank you so much for the chance to win this wonderful giveaway! My favorite organization tip is put it all up on pegboard. It's not the most attractive piece in my craft room (although you could paint it), but it is so functional. I hang all my tools, rhinestones, cards, etc right where I can reach them. I love my hubby for putting it up for me!

Here's a link to a photo of my craft room, before I got everything hung up:

I have a couple of the Creative Memories Totes and bags that I haul everything around in. They have lots of great areas to store my papers, albums and the smaller bag has room for my markers and adhesives. Right now I have plastic milk crates that store my paper stacks and loose papers.
Thanks for a great giveaway/bribe. LOL
Looking forward to others ideas as well.

I use the spinning desk top caddy (not sure of the name) thing that making memories sells at Michaels. It is perfect for storing all of the tools that I need while creating! I also have a lot of the jet max cubes in the closet to store all of my other craft supplies. It makes it neat, tidy, labeled and out of direct eye view!

For paper, I have a shelf that my DH built that holds all the 12x12. For the scraps, I bought a countertop drawer thingy and divided it up into colors. I have bins with hanging file folder for paper from different manufacturers! The best thing I have though is an organizer from the hardware store that's supposed to be for screws and such I guess, but it's great for any small items like buttons, brads, etc!

I absolutely love those picnic basket style totes! I throw things in there both big and small when I travel to crops. Plus I can see whats in there at a glance!

Loove the bribe LOL!

I have two bookshelves near my desk that I keep most of my crafting items on. I have clear plastic shoe boxes that are labeled with what is inside so I am not hunting for specific things. I also keep my tools (tweezers, pens, glue runners and glue pens, ruler, etc.) on my desk so they are in quick reach. I have a bulletin board above my desk for ideas, inspiration and little items (like little bags of wiggle eyes). On the other side of my desk, I have jet max cubes for my paper, ribbon, etc. I also have the outside of the drawers clearly labeled. I have found that organizing and storage works differently for everyone. Try out some ideas and see if it works for you! Hope this helps! And thank you for the chance to win!

For storage around my workspace I love to use the Ikea rails to hang tubs off of for my pens and non magnetic things etc and then the magnetic strips for those go to scissors etc. Thanks for the chance to win.

My favorite organizing tip is to sort all of my paper by color and theme.

I have a pink room, and bought a lot of storage items from Dollar General. One in particular is a pink, wire, picnic-style, silerware holder that sits on my desk and holds tools. It is similar to the white cropper hopper desk top tool holder, only better because it's pink and way less expensive! Thanks for the chance at your lovely prize pack! I love it all, but have been dying for that Irock!

I do better with a BIG room to spread out in. I'll try to post a pic. Then I have a separate table for cutting, organize my cardsock in vertical folders, my specialty paper in large baggies by line, and general by theme in those big plastic boxes. Keep my most-used tools in the middle of my table.
Well, can't figure out how to add a pic - sorry!

I keep as much as I can on bookshelves or in cupboards. Plastic rectangular see through takeout containers with lids (makes them stackable) and large rectangular icecream containers are my fave spacesaving and cost saving option, and I've found that it works e.g to store different flowers, card blanks, cuttlebug folders etc.

As well as a floor tote, I have a small set of plastic drawers on wheels and best of all a small table tote which has lots of pockets with all the essentials at my fingertips e.g. scissors, glue dots, double sided tape etc. If I could have only one, it would be the little portable table tote.

Unknown said...

I have those plastic drawers, and they are categorized: tools, glues, silhouettes' tools, elements to cut, etc. My grandmother gave me something like a tall dresser - is thing, very feminine and looks like an antique - the drawers are also by category. For papers I have racks.
When I go to my scrapbook-crop-session, I use a tote from "The paper studio"... it has pockets everywhere! And they are removable (well, most of them). I hope these tips are not too "blah" ;)
This is a great giveaway... thank you!

Organizing....
A tough subject!

hmmmm... I guess above all what I love in
my craftroom is my paper holder. I bought
it when a LSS was going out of business.
It is a dbl column white that has I think
close to 20 slots for paper. Also I really
like that I was able to use a dresser and
chest of drawers that I already had (that
saved a ton of $ I'm sure!)

I use a AMM totally-cool tote for most of my tools and adhesive, that way it is ready to go all. At home it sits on my desk with a carousel to make it easy to get at what I need. I keep my larger and most used punches on a towel holder from Ikea. I use these as my own clip it up as well with "s" hooks for embellishments.

For storage and organisation - clear plastic containers(builders/fishermans 'tool' boxes or steal your hubby's!!!). Serves a dual purpose, keeps all your stash dust free and is easily seen and accesible. I have large shelving on my wall above my desk where I stack all my containers, I suggest containers with lids that clip closed. This makes it easy when you want to scrap away, grab your storage boxes and off you go! I store my stash with brads in one container, flowers in another etc. Here is a link to my blog with some pics of my scrappy spot (sorry Imanginisce....another paper range was used for this LO).

Last year my parents redid their kitchen and they gave me an enormous 6 shelf wire rack they didn't want anymore. On the rack I have Salvation Army/Yard Sale issue baskets with all my supplies in them. My big table is right next to the computer & printer. It holds my Cricut, with a shelf above for my most important tools, and a chest of drawers underneath with more storage. I also have several other shelves I've purchased secondhand that add to the storage. I love supplies and I LOVE storage stuff.

PamSpradlin said...

I am not saying it works...ha!...but I have shelving on one wall of my craft room. It is full of arts bins that have my paper stored by color. And I have art bins with tools and embellishments in them. Each art bin is labled with what is in it. I also have an line of clear plastic shoe boxes that are labled so I know what is in them. When I go to a crop or retreat I have a divided art bin that I use to put things in that I think I will need. I put the paper I will need along with my pictures in another art bin. My tote is a rolling tote that I got at Office Depot. You can get 3 regular size art bins in it along with the small divided art bin that I store my ribbon in. I also have 2 tables in my room...one is where I scrap and the other holds my slice and epic 6. It really helps that after I have scrapped something that I put every little thing away in the bin where it belongs and then start with a clean area. Otherwise it will seem that you spend more time organizing your craft space that using it to scrapbook because it gets messy real fast.

I'm always on the lookout for new storage ideas, too. What I do right now is keep things organized in a binder with those clear plastic page protectors. If I print out a bunch of pictures at once, I will go through the pictures and decide which ones to scrap together, then put those in a page protector along with anything else that I might wish to use on the scrapbook page - tickets, mementos, embellishments, a sketch to help get me started. That way when I start to scrap the pictures, I have what I want in front of me and I don't forget to include something.

Tanya said...

My favorite is to just forget the organizing and go with the flow or should I say 'mess'! :)

Just kidding! I used to be an organized person till I started crafting, now I struggle with it. I divide my supplies into categories. Example, I put ALL the Christmas stuff in clear containers. Stamps, paper, ribbon, etc. I do this for each theme.

Awesome giveaway, thanks!

I have a tote from Scrap Paper Scissors, but they can also be found at Walmart. I put it on a Lazy Susan I stole from my kitchen. It's so handy to just spin my bag around to get what I need. Now if I had my own room. I'd put another lazy suzanne with jars or container to hold my most grabbed for supplies!

I don't have craft room and so, I have to craft in the living room. All my tools and papers are in the store room. I use 6" diameter plastic plant pot each to hold cutting tools, glues, colour pencils and put them inside a 10"x20" rectangle plastic container. I just need to take out the rectangle container from store to craft in the living hall. Ribbons are stored in round clear plastic with lid container and stack on top of each other. I use a pizza-shape box to keep the 12" paper. I also keep all ink-pads, punches, embellishment in each rectangle plastic container and put them on a 4 layers corner table.
That's my way to keep crafty tools and I find it easy to reach for the tools and after crafting is done, it is easy to put back into the store too.

My husband made me a really cool peg board and it has a variety of hooks on it. He painted it really pretty and it actually ended up being a focal point in my room. It holds everything from my stickles to bling, etc and everything is neatly organized. I love it!!

the first thing I did when I redid my room was to sort by color. It makes finding everything easier. Here is a link to my room and the organization that I use, my favorite is the shoe storage bag for my punches!

I honestly don't have any good advice...my stuff is in shambles on a table out in our porch. When I want to scrapbook I bring an armful of supplies into the dining room and there it sits until I feel like I need to clean. That said, I have a small tote for all my tools and the little stuff that I use the most often and I keep all my paper in 12x12 cases in a rolling cart.

Unknown said...

ORGANIZATION??? What is that? Why do I need it? Are you trying to imply that the random piles of stuff scattered around my scrap room are inadequate???

More seriously -- My favorite organization items are snap-lock boxes that I picked up after Christmas one year -- they have four shallow layers, each of which snaps to the one above it, and a lid with a handle on top -- they are a great one to Organize small tools and embellishments!

I have bookcases for my craft things, and I find small tins and lunchboxes to store all those misc items in, Charms in one, buttons in amother, etc. I also like those multi-compartment plastic boxes for things like brads and eyelets! Thanks for a chance to win these goodies!

Chantal Vandenberg said...

My fave organisation tool ever is a pinboard above my workspace. Honestly it's the best. You can pin all your fave "hot" items up there like embellishment packs, alpha packs etc etc and they are in view all the time and so easy to reach. Plus it's great for turn over too - like when you want to "use" something... pin it up! It'll get used!!! :D :D

Thanks for the chance!

Target is where I aquired most of my storage containers. They have very cute designs or plain storage bins in an array of sizes. They have ones that are large enough to hold my 12x12 papers vertically and horizontally and even small desk size bins to store inks/pens/mists and other misc. items. Check them out at Target...found a link online, but cuter ones are in the store...http://www.target.com/s?keywords=trend+lab+storage+bin&searchNodeID=1038576%7C1287991011&ref=sr_bx_1_1&x=15&y=19

I keep my stuff comment boxes in various sizes, these boxes can be clear or colored plastic or even paper boxes, but all put a label on the front with the description of what I keep inside each one. To keep the punches, I saw on a blog, a table that slides under the table as an auxiliary side table, these same tables we put the keyboard of the computer and when we are not using push it down the table. I found this great idea because we save space and punches are super organized.
To save the tapes, it's cool you put a plastic tube to get caught out off the wall, equal to the wardrobe that we hung our clothes, and then you can go the ribbons hanging there, looks cool and practical too.
Pliers for the best guess is the organizers of the table or if you have space, you can hang a plcA metal wall that has estralinhas or hearts or any other design leaked, hooks to hang and organize the pliers, scissors, etc. are penduradinhos all as a showcase store.

I have helped, thank you for the opportunity to participate.

Kisses,

Janna

My favorite storage item is a lazy susan style kitchen utensil cady. I keep it ont he corner of my work table and it holds all the items I use regularly (like my scissors, tape, pens, bone folder, ruler, etc). For my solid color papers (and usable scraps), I like to use 12x12 plastic drawers. They come 3 to a stack at Walmart for around $11. I use 1 drawer for each color. I punch out a butterfly from the colors and glue it then to the front of the drawers. It makes it easier (at a glance) to find which drawer to open. I keep these right next to my table where they are with in arms reach. Thanks for another great give away!

Being in the UK with no Michaels or Target stores I tend to rely on Ikea - various boxes to house paper scraps, rubber stamps, punches, adhesives, the cat(!) but with a quick jaunt around their gardening section I can pick up wonderful metal plant pot holders that can hold all my pens and in the kitchen department those wonderful glass jars for spools of ribbon, buttons and all things bright and colourful. Thank you Ikea - I would have to move to the States without you! :-)

I bought Iris storage bins that store 12 x 12 paper. I have all my cardstock organized in the 12 x 12 folders (sold seperately) and labeled by color. I have two of those and they fit neatly under my desk. I have a thrid that stores all my patterned paper. I like having them at my feet while I scrap.

I have a couple of 3-layered racks on wheels. One holds my favourite stamps, inks and alphas, and the other holds my punches and tools. Since the racks are open, I can see and pick the items I needs without rummaging through drawers. I pull the rack over to where I would be scrapping (sometimes at my desk, sometimes at the dining table, or in front of the TV).

Lillian Child said...

I started organizing my products by "occasion" in 13x13 plastic totes ... that way when I go to make a baby card or sympathy card, or holiday card, all I have to do is reach for that pastic tote and all my themed papers, stamps, embellishments, etc. are right there. Of course, there's also a couple of miscellaneous totes for embellishments that would go with any occasion. But I find this helps immensely.

I LOVE my peg board wall!!! My hubby hang it for me on one entire wall on my right hand side. EVERYTHING is on this wall. I got a kit from the hardware store of all the pegboard hooks and holders. It came with jars, hooks, pegs, shelves, caddies. My trash bag hangs from a hook, my sissors fit into tube shaped pegs (meant for screwdrivers) small embelishments are in jars that just unscrew the lids are attached to the pegboard. I put pictures on the shelves and hang pretty little mini books and fun things to inspire me and to make the wall cute and stylish.

Also, I create in a small U-shaped closet under the stairs. It is PERFECT for me as I love having everything all in reach. I never have to leave my chair. The room is packed and small, but it works best for me.

I have lots of storage ideas. I bought a carpet sample rack at a rummage sale for all my paper. I love the divided tackle box clear containers for all my little items like eyelets, brads, ribbons, and flowers....all organized by color. My chipboard letters are all in the small sterilite drawers with dividers I made out of chipboard. Paper scraps are sorted by color and in the Iris containers with lids. All my stamps are now unmounted and in clear cd cases, sorted into clear dvd containers by theme. I have a rolodex with everything stamped on a card with the location of each stamp on the card. When I want to stamp, I flip through the rolodex to see what all I have and can quickly locate it in my containers. For my printed pictures, they are organized into 1 gallon ziplock bags with sketches or printouts of scraplifts if I already know what I want to use. I also drop in any embellishments or paper I purchased for specific layouts so I don't "lose" it and forget I have it. I have a tour of my scraproom on my blog.....it has already been updated again and I'm hoping to get the house to myself one evening so I can do a video tour also. My blog is at http://www.picturemescrappy.blogspot.com/

I like to keep the stuff I use the most right at my finger tips, so I have easy access storage all around my work space. I use the cropper hopper vertical 12x12 cases to store paper and thickers, have a rolling cart with drawers for most of my embellies and i bin that sits on my desk for all my tools and such. It might not work for everyone, but it works for me!

For a grab and go tools storage I use this Creative Memories Tools Storage bag http://creativememories.com/MainMenu/Shop/Scrapbooking/Traditional/Organizers/Memory-Mate-Daisy-Totes/Daisy-Tools-Caddy.
I love it cause it zips up and so if it tips no big deal. I put my punches, embellishments, and scissors in the bottom and store my markers, pencils, ink pads, stamps, and adhesives in the top. I just keep this stuff in it so if I scrap it home it is at my table or if I want to go to a crop it is all ready to go. Happy Organizing :)

I keep my favorite 'go to' tools all in one handy spot - on a tiered dessert serving tray thing (which is easily moveable) and the other bigger items in a rectangular wicker basket. It allows me to freely move from one room/place to another in the house or pack it into a back for crafting at a friend's place. Not quite what I'd take to a crop, but it really helped streamline my processes so I can get more done!

My crafting space is a square kitchen table. I have it pushed up against the wall and that back side is lined with stackable 3 drawer 12 x 12 bins. I keep all my loose paper in those and next to the table I have a rolling file cabinet that I file all my stickers, tags, envelopes, and etc in. I found a small 6 drawer cabinet at goodwill that I keep all my charms, beads, etc in on top of the table. The great thing is the table is large enough to have my supplies all along one side, my Cricut on one end and a huge work space for me on the other corner, with my chair on wheels I just go all around my room. I am blessed that my DH gave me the largest room in our basement for my crafting.

I have a wire rack (not sure what you call it) that I purchased from Hobby Lobby to hold my cardstock and I have purchased clear containers to hold all my scraps!

I love my cropper hopper vertical paper organizers that keep my paper safe, but where I can see it and easily get to it. I have a bunch of clear plastic "Shoe Boxes" that I have labelled and on a shelf that contain things I don't use everyday. My desk has drawers in it where I keep the things I do use everyday. I have a ribbon shelf above the desk so I can see all my ribbon and cut off whatever I need. I also have a thread rack over my sewing machine that keeps my thread out of the way, but still accessible. The thing I really need right now is a better storage system for buttons (ziploc's just aren't working!) and glitter. I recently made a framed magnet board and I'm thinking I need to get some little magnetic containers to solve this problem!
Thanks!

Thank you for this post! It's always so much fun to read how others work in their spaces and how they solve organizational problems.

For me, my Simply Renee Clip It Up Floor Model is the bomb! I love how much it holds and that I can put dividers in it and arrange the racks in any height. For on-the-go moments, I have a Mini Clip it Up and it works really nicely to grab and take to a crop.

My other fun thing that I like a lot was to re-purpose my spice rack. The design of it is cool, because it's stainless but the spices were getting old, so I just cleaned the jars all up and now it holds my smaller embellies like all my I-Top accessories, my I-Rock bling, googley eyes, etc. : )

Thanks for the chance to win ;-D I have a narrow shelf attached to my wall right by my scrappiing counter - full of little plastic crates about 10cm x 10cm & each houses different coloured ribbon or buttons, etc, Each is labeled & there are no lids so it's so easy to see what I want & just grab it. I used to have glass jars but I changed over because it was an extra hassle taking off the lids & putting them back on again. Speed counts lol...

My dream room would be cabinets where I could keep everything tucked away all need and tidy but that is so unrealistic for me...I need to have most of my go-to stuff right in front of my where I can see it or I just won't use it so I have a 4x4'sheet of pegboard I painted the same colour as the walls and put that above my desk and I have 4 black wire shelves that fit into the pegboard that hold some of the 'go-to' stuff: lighter punches, ribbon, bling on hooks, flowers in jars, brads in jars, rubons on hooks, stamps on the top shelf and adhesive on the bottom one. It's not neat and tidy most of the time but it works for me.

My Tutto bag is my most favorite portable storage option. The bag has a giant middle pocket for big items. I put everything from my crop-a-dile, xyron, cuttlebug, etc..

Then it has a pocket on each side. One side has 'folders' to put paper or other folders in which is great because they are big enough to fit 12x12 paper or folders. The other pocket has lots of little pockets to organize the things you always need. I generally keep adhesive refills, alcohol swabs, ribbons etc... in those.

I keep my scraps seperated by color, and I like to keep all my back up adhesives and supplies tucked away out of sight, and off my work area. Good luck!

I am all about baskets for storing my supplies, that way I can see what I have at a glance and I can easily just grab the basket that I need and bring it over to my work area. The other thing I absolutely love is my collection of glass topped round, magnetic tins. I have all my buttons sorted by color and size so that it really easy to find what I need. I find that if my supplies are hidden in drawers or in totes I tent to forget what I have, I need everything out in the open where I can see it and be inspired to create.

My favorie storage system is by Iris. It's the "rack" that holds 6 of their clear 12x12 containers meant to be used for papers. I have some for papers & some for embellishments as well as tools. I label each bin so that I can find what I need at a glance.

Hi! I think this is such a fun topic. Organizing, for me, is part of the hobby! It is so fun to go through all my goodies and see what I have and, what I just NEED to go get... anyways... I am in the process of re-decorating my studio. Awhile back I organized my closets. I chose to go with the Sterilite Clear Plastic Shoebox containters. I love them. I punched holes in one side and tied labels to them and they stack so great on my shelves. I recently discovered that they fit in the largest piece of luggage from our set of luggage. It is GREAT! I do combine a few containers when I go crop, but I basically get to keep my "closet" method with me and it is so easy to get to whatever I need when I go crop! The front part of the suitcase holds 12x12 paper perfectly!

For my tools and other misc. things I have cube shelves that I purchased at Target. They come in different configurations. I got three different pieces that form a pyramid. It is a really neat element in my studio. I see all my tools, glimmer mist, embossing powders, etc... and they are SO EASY to get to and to put away. Meaning that my room stays clean! Whoohoo!

Hope that I have been able to inspire and give some helpful hints! On my blog I have all the details and pictures:

For my home studio I LOVe all things IKEA..My favorite things are my desk which is the white table top with the book ends for added storage. I also LOVE the 6 drawer cart on casters. My Cricut Expression fits perfectly on top and each drawer is labeled with what's inside. As for on the go storage I have 2 large totes from Scrap Pack that are my go to bags when going to crops..I have learned over the years to pack light and plan ahead and make kits to work on.I tend to be more productive that way!!

Another IKEA girl here! Love the SAMLA boxes for my ink pads and punches. I keep the shipping boxes the supplies come in, cut them up by 2 thirds, cover them and label them. I use an old CD rack to keep larger chipboard sheets in an upright position!

Well.. if I had the money I would definitely own a scrapbox of some sort.. but i dont lol. So what I have (and it seems to work well for the time being) is a table with a small shelf above it. On the shelf I store my Cricut carts, the shelf has some fancy swirly brackets that hold it on.. in some of the swirls I have some wooden (i cant think of the word right now) stick like things that i have all of my ribbon spools on so you can just reach up and pull and cut! I have my most used tools to my right in a little can like container (im right handed).. this includes my scissors, bone folder, glue etc. My Expression sits at the end of my table so it doesnt take up too much room. To my left I have a spinning caddy that has tons of holders and areas for things.. this is where all of my other tools are. I find that its nice because theres so much room and some of the openings are big enough to hold 4x6 photos that you're currently using.. you can find these at Michaels.. not sure what the brand is thow. I have some paper organizers that stand up and are large enough to hold 12x12 papers.. this is where I keep my most commonly used papers so that they are easy to get to.. I have two and the sit agains the wall at the back of my table. Below my table to the sides I have some of the file folder type carriers that hold 12x12 sized paper I have some of my other commonly used paper down there.. again very easy to get to. I store some of my other tools (paper trimmer, big bite, cuttlebug, embossing folders, scoreboard, embossing gun, pics ect.) under the table in the space that isnt in the way. And then I have a few of the large rubber made containers in my closet right next to my table this is where i have my stickers, extra glues, stamps im not using, etc. And in my closet my husband made me some shelfs and that is where my less used paper packs are as well as my scrapbooks and finished pages that arent in books yet. Sorry this is all probably pretty confusing.. I should have just taken a pic lol! Good luck though hope someone has an idea that helps u out.. it took me forever to get this close to what I needed.. and im still pretty far off lol.

I have a small 3 drawer organizer for my adhesives/eyelet setter/squares of sandpaper/decorative edge scissors/punches on my desktop. I also store my ribbons in a large 2 drawer organizer, but hubby is going to make me something that hangs on the wall. I use shoeboxes for a lot of stuff...with 3 kids, that isn't hard to do! I even have shoe boxes waiting in the wings! I store my scraps in a big Pampers box with index tabs telling me what color goes where. A bureau stores a lot of my supplies: alpha stickers in one drawer, paper pads in another, stamps/inks in another. I keep my paper in a paper organizer (actually have 2 of them) and a Karen Foster Designs bag, in which I keep my gel pens and random things.

OMG I'm the same way. my room is so unorganized...but makes it hard that I live in an apt. I do move to a house soon. Currently, I use these GREAT plastic containers from Target. I have 4 (1 for pattern paper scraps, 1 for cardstock scraps, 1 for letter stickers & 1 for some of my cling stamps). I also use those plastic drawer things for stamps and small embellishments. Here is a photo of my space - http://laceybugcreations.blogspot.com/2010/08/my-space.html - see very unorganized. I have many ideas for my NEW space though :)

lots of cabinets or shelves with baskets/boxes. those scrap cubes that i resisted for so long really are a great way to store lots of paper *the 4 slot divided ones - others with drawers are a bit flimsy. you need to figure your style of how you create & think. i like to sort a lot of things by type but some things by color (ribbon & buttons) it's a process try it & if it doesn't work - no matter how cute it looks - change to something that works for you

I use a peg board for still in package embellishments, a clear pocket shoe holder hung within reach for border punches, a tie rack for ribbon pieces, full spools of ribbon go on dowels set in plastic baskets with the ribbon coming out of each hole. I got a lazy susan type divided holder (the center is high like a drinking glass) for all the litte necessaries - ruler and scissors in center, adhesives, corner punch, small scissors, tweezers, etc. in outer holes. Flowers and buttons are in jars on display shelves. Brads and eyelets in small plastic divided cases. Pens and markers are in silverware divider since these need to store flat and I want to see all the colors. Patterned papers are divided by theme and/or color and stored in used postal boxes.

These are a cool way to store stamps. I think they work better with the EZ mount stamps than the clear because it is a little hard to see the design of the clear stamps: https://www.scrapbookpal.com/Totes___Organizers/Totes___Organizers/SC-SCKPI/

Hope this gives you some new ideas!!

What works for me are the 3-drawer containers. I have 4 of them...

(1) A large one (24x21) that holds my punches, mini albums, and misc. supplies.

(1) A medium one (11x15) that holds all of my ink pads, acrylic blocks, and adhesives.

(1) A small one (9x10) that holds templates, journal cards, a craft sheet, Slice adhesive and cards, sanding block, etc.

(1) A small one (9x10) that holds extra supplies, adhesive refills, my Bazzill In-Stitchz templates, and 8x8 paper pads.

This system works great for me!! :)

One cool storage idea I use is to use a shoe shelf with dividers. I can either slide long items directly in it, or add tubs that fit whenever needed. It helps me compartmentalize my stuff! Plus, it holds a lot! Thanks so much for a chance to win--you don't have to bribe me to get me to look at your blog, but I love winning prizes! :-)

And my favorites are: big Clip It Up for stickers and large clear stamps, a small one for small stamps, lots of small jars for buttons, brads, eyelets, flowers and small objects in a special box for them on the wall (with shelves in different sizes) and a lot of drawers for my punches, ink pads, ribbons, papers, acrilic paint and mist, sewing and everything else!!

Thanks for the opportunity, lots of kisses!!

I don't have much room so I have to be very organized. The clip it up is an amazing way to store alphas and such without taking up a huge chunk of space plus you can see it all so well. I love to organize by colors also. I have shelves and have all my ribbons in glass jars so I can see what I have. I always feel like I use my supplies more if I can see them. I have several baskets for stamps and such but since I can't "see" them they don't get used much.

I invested in those 3 drawer 12 x 12 drawer units by Sterlite to store my paper scraps. I have each ]drawer labeled by color. This makes it so easy to go to and get a scrap piece and not cut up a full size piece of card stock for something that scrap will do!!!!Thanks for the chance to win! Think pink!!!!!!!!

In my craft room/office, I store most of my supplies in the multi-drawer rolling carts underneath my table. All the drawers are labeled by what is inside (stamps, adhesive, etcetera) so it is easy to find what I need. I do have a rolling cart that my sister got me last year that was made by Rubbermaid that is for scrapbooking (although I used it to transport teaching materials to and from school, lol). I don't think they make it anymore (I've tried researching to find additional ones) but it has an amazing amount of rolling storage - I've definitely received compliments about it! Hope this helps! About 6 mos ago I was at Costco and saw a giant portable toolbox. It's a Stanly Fat Max. The top opens and there is a pull out tray. Then the rest of the box open back. The middle section has compartments and the bottom is large enough for me to store all my paper stacks and more. It has a retractable handle and wheels so when I go on a crop I just take it w/ me. And at home it just sits by my craft space. I keep it closed so my 3 year old doesn't get into all my stuff. I LOVE it!! Thanks for the great giveaway and the chance to win

I have a little nook in my finished basement for my scrappy supplies. My husband installed closetmaid shelves (you can plan your own design on their website). When I work at home I usually sit on the floor and put my projects together, so the things i reach for the most are on the lower shelves - patterned paper and embellishments, and the things I reach for the least are on the top shelves - special projects, idea books. I have a rolling tote and as I put together kits to work on, I put those in my rolling tote so all I need to do is add my basic supplies and go. This seems to work out really well for me!

Let's see. I definitely always tag my storage spaces - even my clothes are separated by closet hanger tags bought from the Container store. Color consistency and uniformity is very important to me. I scrapbook because I like to make beautiful cards/layouts and I definitely like keeping my scrapbook area beautiful and organized as well. I find it so much easier to be creative with a clean space!

When it comes to organizing, the first thing I look at is whether or not the product I'm considering to buy blends in with my other organizers/boxes/folders. Then I see if it fits into my space and within my budget.

I like storage units that have lots of little compartments without the appearance of it, like the Making Memory embellishment box or the Original Scrapbox. Hope this helps!

Great giveaway, by the way!

When I travel, I like to take my scrappy stuff as-is. Most of it stays in its everyday storage so when I pick up a new storage piece, I not only have to have it match my playroom, but it has to be mobile. The best advice I got, and followed, was to sort/store how I work. Meaning if you think color first sort by color, if you think theme first sort by theme, if you think manufacturer first sort by manufacturer... Most important is there is no one right way to do it.

I start my LOs with the photo(s) and they might invoke a theme or bring to mind a manufacturer's line or colors. So I sort using all three (granted mostly theme and color) and it is working for me.

I do have photos but need to find the back up of them as our hard drive crashed so I am rebuilding but this is a good excuse to start doing that and doing a post on my neglected blog ;)

Organization is a huge issue for many scrapbookers I think! I have found that using a pegboard behind my scrap desk makes for great storage. I hang cute little buckets from it and fill them with the supplies I need. I have also purchased those little cardboard boxes from the $1 section at Target with the ribbon handles and that works great for storage as well. I also recycle many of the containers that would otherwise be thrown out in my kitchen for button, brad and other small embellishment storage. I have used Crystal Light packet containers, cut up fruit containers from the produce dept,, etc. Also, a cafe curtain rod with clippy curtain hangers makes for a great little hanging storage area!
Here are some quick pics I took of some of the things I mentioned above:

You mean there is a way to be ORGANIZED!!!! Please do not tell that to my husband! : )

jk... I am such a neat freak that before I go to bed all my stuff has to be put back in its place and I will not sleep.
My favorite piece is a 12 foot long desk with drawers on each end that my husband put together for me. It lets me put everything out on it and still have room to scrap!

Thanks for the chance to win these awesome prizes!

I use a wheeled Iris cart for solid papers. All together in one container. Then one for alphas one for Christmas, and 2 for current projects.

I have most of my patterned paper sorted by theme in clear envelopes that hold 12x12 on a shelf. I made dividers so I can get more into one envie.

But my most used organizing tool is the drawers shown here: http://katemadedesigns.blogspot.com/2010/06/simple-journey.html I go to scraps first with all projects. I'm frugal (some say cheap but I think frugal sound better.)

Good luck.

A year ago I lost my craft-room to my tween daughters who decided it was time for their own rooms. I have 2 white Ikea bookshelves in my bedroom that have to hold everything I own. I keep my go-to-items in a little tote that I can take to my table. Not the ideal set-up, but at least there's less drama in my house now :)

I need storage ideas. FINALLY have a craft room and just got it painted and am now working on storage/organization. So looking forward to reading all these responses.

my sister in law has gotten me started on tupperware, which I love! I use several different items to organize crafts, food, toys, ribbon, you name it! I also really like snapware that has a ribbon organizer that is awesome!

I have a collection of craft storage cube that I use to store and organize all my paper, embellishments and larger tools but my favorite item by far is the Making Memories Craft Desk Spinner (not sure if that is the actual name or not). It where I keep all my pens, adhesives, go to tools, and little embellishments. It's right at my finger tips. I also really like my clip it up system as I use it for my go to, always use embellishments ... otherwise I forget what I have.

Thanks for the chance to win an awesome prize pack!

This, by far is the best mobile box around. Every time I'm at a crop - I get stopped and asked about it.. when my sister and sister in law are with me... we really get stopped because all three of us have one.

The bottom fits 4-5 14x14 inch pizza boxes.. or 3-4 of the plastic paper storage boxes that you get at Michael's. The middle layer I keep a ton of punches, inks, ribbon, etc. For the top I take the tool caddy out and it stores my photos, embellishment boxes, and anything else I might need.

My favorite storage is my custom craft room that my hubby built for me to my crafty specifications. I also use kitchen drawer deviders to seperate all my tools, pens, etc. Small squares of cardboard are great for wrapping ribbon around to create compact uniform storage :OI

I don't have anything to different for my storage. My "big" find was the pencil boxes that were on sale for 50 cents a few months ago. They were great for storing my glitter, flocking and scrap ribbon!

I love using a plastic tote with drawers and have all ribbons wrapped around cards and they are color coordinated!

Organization??!! Whats that??!! My craft area is a mess!! My most favorite organized piece is my desk top spinning caddy - it is great for keeping tools and pens at my fingertips!!

My favorite organization tips are using a tape deck to store stamp pads and using binder clips hung on thumb tacks to hold my ribbon (in rainbow color of course) on my wall. I recently renovated my scrap room and showed all of my organizational tips and photos on my blob at http://scraplifterdesigns.blogspot.com/2010/09/welcome-to-my-scrap-space.html

I have found that I use a lot more of my supplies if I see them. I use towel bars and kitchen hooks from Ikea to organize all my letter stickers, I love that I can see at least a liitle of each set I have, it makes it much easier to pick some and use them. I have a wire dress form that I put all my ribbon on, it serves as a great decoration in my craft room, and because I see the ribbon I use it more often. I also love my MM storage shelves. For me the key was getting everything out of drawers and bags and getting it in my face!

For me, I think what helps is to constantly edit my stash, so that I have a sense of what I possess. I have a red dish display cupboard with three drawers. My papers are placed in a cropper hopper paper holder which I love to bits and all my other embellies and inks are places in strawberry punnet containers. These help me tremendously as not only are they recycled, but for someone who is constantly moving house, it makes for easy packing as well. Given that the containers are clear, they also make it easy for me to locate a specific product. My alpha stickers all go into a huge pizza box, so that I can place everything on my lap and seive through them to match a project. Hope these tips help!

I always keep my tools handy. I use a MM carousel and some decorative small planters I picked up at the craft store. My ultimate scrapbook organizer is my Scrapbox. I will never regreat that purchase! http://www.theoriginalscrapbox.com/
It looks good and allows me to sort supplies by them or manufacturer. I don't use the table that's attached to it, didn't need it.

I don't have a lot of space because I scrap in my dining room. I have a cabinet with lots of cube space and baskets have been my life saver! I put my most used tools in one and when I want to scrap, I just put that basket on the table and everything I need is right there. I shopped around and found some that match my decor perfectly on sale for 50% off! I also found some parmesan jars for 50 cents and put my smaller embellies in them. My space is small but I love how it's organized and neat. That's important to me since it's a shared space. Here's what it looks like: http://www.acherryontop.com/i/gallery2/195309-490.jpg

I have cubes that I purchased at Michaels. I also have pegboard that I use to hang items that I want in constant view. I also use the plastic totes from JoAnns that have a handle and fit 12X12 paper very nicely. I am always looking for better ways to organize. TFS and for an opportunity to win all the Pink things :)

I kind of kicked my husband out of his office and turned it into my craft studio. (He turned the front deck into his office!)
Instead of a desk I have an Ikea garage shelving unit, all stainless steel with shelves that go way up! My favorite storage option is my Costco cart, it has 14 drawers and it's on wheels so it can be moved to wherever I want to be! Each drawer is labeled and sorted with mini organizers inside!! I have to say I am really lucky to have such an awesome room!!

All of my scrap supplies have to be portable for crops. I keep all of my acrylic stamps in a binder in page protectors or trading card sheet so that I can easily flip through. All of everything else is in plastic containers of various sizes that stack together. They all fit into those reusable grocery bags. It works pretty well!

I use the shelving system I got at target (with the paper shelves on their sides with the Cropper hopper paper files inside so I can take them in and out. I have a drawer system I got from a guy that used to make them (Custom wood by Dallas I think was the name) Think some of the shallow drawer systems out there only cheaper) finally hubby just built me front to back shelves in my cubby (I posted about the collapse in one of the gypsy giveaways) the shelves he built me are able to hold an 80lb kid or 4 of the Creative Options 15 x 15 album and paper file totes.... I have a caddy of most used tools easy to take with but most of all

LABEL everything (and remember to put it back...(not so good about that last part)

I cleared out the closet in a spare bedroom, and my husband installed slatwall board. I am now able to store my paper in 12x12 peg trays that fit in the slats, lots of hooks for hanging items, storage trays and bins from the home improvement store. I was amazed how much I could store in there.

I use clear sterilite boxes to keep things grouped together, and they are stackable and its easier to find that way. I've also been toying with the idea of using my sewing machine rolling tote when I need my scrap stuff to go!

I think we are all drooling over this prize pack!

I repurposed plastic CD cases and holders for clear stamps after putting all my CDs in one zip-around case.
I use a label maker so I know what is in all of my plastic shoe storage bins (purchased 3/$1.00 on sale). Or, I write on and then slip a Post-It Note with the sticky side facing the front inside of the bins for changing storage needs..don't have to break nails trying to remove labels!
Thanks for the chance to win that amazing prize package!

I have wire shelves up in my closet and I use the IRIS boxes for paper. I've also bought a lot of the cropper hopper storage systems for photos and embellishments.

I keep my "go-to" tools (paper trimmer, rulers, hole punches, and of course my i-rock! etc) in a basket under my scrap desk so they are in easy reach.

I remove ribbon from spools and wind it around ribbon cards, which are similar to Embroidery Floss Cards. It saves a ton of space so I can buy more ribbon!

Because I'm one of "those" people that if I can't see what I have, it doesn't get used. I have to keep everything visible. I use the cases of Old CD's for acrylic stamp storage and label them and store them in an old CD case tower. My second favorite storage is a home made sticker storage rod. I have two 3' X 2.5' peg boards mounted on the wall of my scrap room and I've attached an old curtin rod between the two but they are bent so they stick out from the wall. Each rod is bent to form a U shape and each side of the U is about 8 inches. This allows me to use paper clips to hang stickers or packages of clip board letters or sheets of letters, or even momentos from my trips. The clips slide easily along the rod and keeps everything visible.

Hi...
For my paper, I use those metal office file holders, not sure exactly what they are called, but they stand up, wide enough to hold 12x12, gradually go up, like stadium seats do, there is usually 10 wires, so you can fit quite a lot of paper and paper pads.. dont have a pic tho.... let me see if i can find a pic online here... ahh found it..
