Guest Designer & Giveaway!

This month our Guest Designer is ...

We are thrilled to have Christine joining us this month.
Before we get started here's a brief bio about her.

"I am a mother of three beautiful children, 19, 13, and 9 months, no that is not a typo :), and the wife of an adoring and supportive husband. I live in Birmingham, Alabama but spend most of my life living in Sarasota, Florida. My family has always enjoyed my scrapbooking hobby and love to be the star of my "project".
I have been scrapbooking for about 15 years and remember the first time I went to a crop. It was like a whole new world opened up for me. I had always enjoyed photography but this new hobby allowed me to create something from my pictures and also give them a voice. I know now that there are so many stories in our pictures that would never be told without scrapbooking. Well like everyone knows, this hobby called scrapbooking can really lead you into other crafting worlds and it wasn't long before I was learning how to stamp and make cards and other papercraft items.
I love the scrapbooking business. It is a wonderful beautiful community filled the most lovely people. We care about each other, we encourage each other and we share a passion like no other and I am so glad to be a part of it. "

You can see more of Christine's beautiful work on her blog HERE.

*******
We asked Christine a few questions to find out a little bit more about her.

Q: Favorite TV show.
A: My favorite TV shows right now are Criminal Minds and Escape from Alcatraz

Q: Describe your personality in one word.
A: Encouraging

Q: Diet or Regular?
A: No Diet for this girl!

Q: If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
A: I would love to live in Italy

Q: How did you get into scrapbooking? How would you describe your style?
A: I got into scrapbooking through a friend and because I needed somewhere to put all the photos I loved to take. I think my style is clean and graphic. I'm a very linear person and so this style suits me.

Well, now that you know a little bit more about Christine let's see some of her gorgeous projects!

Summer Beach Party Ensemble

I had so much fun creating with the Making Waves collection. The bright fun colors and cute embellishments are so me!! Party ensembles are so in right now and actually incredibly fun to make so it wasn't a hard decision to let that theme inspire me.

Supplies: Imaginisce ( Making Waves paper and embellishments, i-rock tool and Glam Rocks, White colored foam squares); Words on Invitation, SRM stickers; Treasure box diecut, Silhouette; Cupcake liner diecut, SVG cuts; Diecut Machine, Cameo by Silhouette

The treasure box was cut using my Cameo. I thought it would make an interesting invitation and could double as a treat box. I used a lot of the foam squares to add extra dimension plus to secure the surfboard inside the treasure box.

Here is another angle of the Treasure Box. You can see how I used the iRock to glam it up!

I used my Cameo again to cut the name for the place card. It may not be obvious but I ended up cutting it out of the pretty packaging that the 3D embellishments were in. It was the perfect color and had a fun pattern to it. I love when I can repurpose items in my crafting.

The cupcake wrapper and topper were also cut using my Cameo. Then to bring it all together I added a lovely 3D sticker embellishment from the Making Waves collection. I think that this was my favorite part of the group. Too cute!!

Wow!! Thank you so much Christine!
That is one super fantastic party set!
We're already looking forward to seeing more of your work later this month.
