Everday Inspiration - Day 1

This week we are going to be filling your world with so much inspiration it will blow your mind. The Design Team gals have been challenged to find some everyday item and use it for inspiration to create a layout, card or other type of project. And wow!!! Their projects are amazing!!!!

Let's take a look at what they've been working on.

*******

For my everyday inspiration, I selected the children's book The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Currently it's a big favorite of the little guy who is 3. In looking at the cover, I saw our i-Top 2.0 and brad daddies come to life with a variety of cool paper colors.

The yellow Makin' Waves paper was used and I stamped the center of the Sun Snag' Em Stamp on it. A 28mm i-Top punch was used to punch the shape. Next, I used my d-Stress tool to give the edges a bit of wear and texture. I used a circle die to give my sun the relief area so I could feature the "HI" letters in my alphabet strip.

Every caterpillar needs a set of antennae and to create mine, I use one of my favorite tools, the Fabric Petal Roller. Simply use this tool with either florist wire or fine gauge jewelry wire and creating antennae for your butterflies or creatures is a breeze! I finished off Mr. Caterpillar with the Silver Tear gems.

What have you seen today that inspires you? Sometimes the simplest things can trigger inspiration!

I found my inspiration from a photo frame that hangs on a wall in my scrapbook room. Pictures of my 3 children and the basic frame design really captured my creativity.

I used the basic rectangle design of the frame and repeated it in white cardstock on my layout. I used the CutBright rotary cutter, mat and ruler to cut out the two 'windows' on the cardstock.

I designed the words "sibling smiles" in the Cricut Craft Room and cut it out on my Cricut Expressions 2.
I continued the heart theme by cutting out a larger heart shape from red patterned paper (Bon Voyage collection) and surrounded the edges with white Glam Rocks.

I added a few more Glam Rocks on the white frame and used my i-top 2.0 tool to make some medium sized brads for the center of 2 of my flowers.

Supplies: Imaginisce (Bon Voyage collection: papers and sitckers; fabric flowers; i-Top 2.0 tool, med. brad daddies, i-rock tool & Glam Rocks (white)); Other - Core'dinations Colorcore Cardstock, Cricut Expressions 2 machine

My layout was inspired by a logo I saw. It's so colorful, which I love! :)

I used papers from the Makin' Waves collection for all the stars, and I misted the background with Glimmer Mist.

Then I misted some scrap paper and used it to make the I-Top brads, and added I-Rock gems for even more bling!

Supplies: Imaginisce (Makin' Waves patterned papers, Berrylicious patterned paper, i-Top 2.0 tool,i-Top brads (22mm and 16mm), i-rock tool, i-rock Rhinestuds , i-rock Glitter Hot Rocks , i-rock Jewels, i-rock Bracket & Border Stencil Set jewels, i-rock Swirl Stencil set jewels , Other: Glimmer Mist

Why not take a look around you and really look at things in a creative way. What inspires you? Is it nature? Is it the plaid pattern on a new shirt? Is it a pair of earrings?
Whatever it is use it as inspiration for your next project.

What did you think of today's projects?
