We hope that you had a fantastic weekend.
Before we get started with our post today we just wanted to remind you that today is the last day to get your submission in for our March Monthly Challenge. You can read all the details about the challenge HERE.

Welcome back to our i-top Button Feature!
From the comments that you've left us we see that you are enjoying the DT 's projects and we love hearing the ideas of projects that you would create if you won this super fun prize!!

If you missed last week's project then you'll have to hop back a few posts.  We challenged our Design Team to use the i-top tool and the Button Daddies to create some new & exciting projects. Some of our designers have also included detailed tutorials.  And we always suggest that you hop on over to their blogs because they will often share a few more detailed photos, tips, tricks & other helpful information.

We hope that you'll join us again this week because the Design Team has another week full of incredible projects to share with you!  So let's get started!

Ribbon Hair Bow

After having 2 boys I am enjoying all of the frilly, foo-foo stuff that comes with having a girl! I love to dress her up and have the matching accessories but that can sometimes get a bit pricey. So I decided that if I wanted to take it easy on the wallet I needed to figure out how to make bows myself.

I looked online for a tutorial and came across this free one on how to make a Loopy Puff Bow at The Ribbon Retreat (http://www.theribbonretreat.com/blog/how-to-make-a-loopy-puff-bow.html). Then I gathered some matching ribbons and material and set off to work. Instead of cutting my ribbon and then having to seal the ends with a lighter I cut all of them with my I-magicut Ribbon Cutter! That came in so handy!! I chose 4 coordinating ribbons and cut 10 pieces of each color to measure 4 inches (40 pieces in all).

Then with needle and thread, loop each piece and run your needle and thread through the open end alternating colors until you have all 40 pieces onto thread.

Pull tight so that all the ribbon pieces gather. Run your needle and thread through the first loop and tie off but don’t cut your thread just yet. Cut material larger than the Button Daddy and assemble together. Run your needle and thread through the back part of your button and tie off. Now you are done and can cut the thread.

Add a felt circle and gator clip to your bow and you are ready to sweeten up your little girl’s look.

Minecraft Button Toque

If you have a boy in your house then I am sure you have heard of Minecraft.  My boys play this video game all the time and when I wanted to make some buttons for my youngest son’s toque he asked if I could make some Minecraft buttons.
We looked all over the internet and found some images that he liked and printed them out on heavy cardstock.  Then I used the fabulous I-Top tool to make the buttons.

As these were going to be on a hat worn outside I covered the images with Modge Podge to seal them.  Once they were dry I sewed them onto his toques.  He loves them!
Minecraft Images are from the makers of the game Mojang.

Supplies: Tool – Imaginisce I-Top, Imaginisce Paper Punch for the I-Top - Large and Extra Large, Buttons - Imaginisce Button Daddies Large and Extra Large, Toque - Old Navy and Hurley, Cardstock - Bazzill Basics, Sealer - Modge Podge

It is a very cute (can you say that about boys) idea to put those buttons on the stocking cap. I think I would make my nephew some of the angry birds buttons for his cap and backpack.

That Hair bow is really sweet! I have boys and girls and I bet I could find a multitude of uses for this tool. Jewelry is something I've long wanted to try.
