Outdoor Adventure Release Party - Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of our Release Party for Outdoor Adventure.

Here's a look at the two 12x12 stickers sheets that go with this collection.

12x12 Alphabet Sticker Sheet

12x12 Adventure Sticker Sheet

Let's not wait any longer.
It's time to see what our designers have created for today.

"Our Great Adventure"
Dropping in to share with you a layout featuring Outdoor Adventure. This is such a fun collection with bright, bold colors and patterns. I created this layout at 4am in about 10 minutes. In my head... Conceptually, it came together that quickly. Were it not for the fact that my husband was leaving to go out of town with my son, leaving us girl's home alone, I would have gotten up and actually worked on it. Those of you with 6 year old girls will understand me when I say that sleep was more of a necessity than executing upon my mental scrappy idea!...

The wood grain patterned paper immediately made me think of wooden frames held together with jute which made a lovely spot of my title and some supporting embellishments. I really wish this collection had come with a stamp of the boot prints!! But then again, I'm glad it didn't or I would have never cut a stencil from transparency with my Cameo that I then put a layer of modeling paste through to create some prints of my own. A little Distress Stickles and splattered mist added a "dirty" look for that outdoor feel and no longer did I pine for that stamp!

Supplies:
Imaginisce: patterned paper, sticker stackers, die cuts, chipboard stickers and letter stickers from Outdoor Adventure
Other: Jute: American Crafts; Modeling Paste and Paint: Golden; Mist: Tattered Angels; Distress Stickles; Pen: Glaze SakuraAimee Kidd

"Fishing You Were Here"

I couldn't just leave that fishing pole without a hook on it! Who goes fishing without a hook? I used my jewelry pliers to wrap an eye pin around the round nose to create the hook-y bit then snipped the end with metal cutters. The back piece is a journal block from Campfire Stories that I covered up with the bottom of another block better suited to my theme. Mixing and matching enables to you to something different and add your own unique twist to the products everybody else has!

Supplies

Imaginisce - Patterned Paper, Sticker Stackers, Stickers, Stamps and Alpha Stickers from Outdoor Adventure; Adhesive: Foam tape
Other - Jute and eye pin: Hobby Lobby, Alpha Stamps: Provo Crafts; Cardstock: Basic Grey; Markers: Tim Holtz Distress, American Crafts Memory Makers; Ink: ColorBox; Other: Glitz Stickles

“No Fish Stories Here”

I absolutely LOVE the color palette in this collection! It truly is perfect for all of those outdoorsy pictures! My first layout is all about my son catching his "first" fish. No help what-so-ever from mom or dad. He did it all himself and caught a catfish.

Imaginisce Supplies Used: Outdoor Adventure (patterned papers, die cuts, alphas, Sticker Stackers, stickers)
Other suppliesSilhouette, EK Success border punch

“He’s my Wild Child”

Next up I have another layout that takes on a totally different approach. This one has more a busy "wild" feel to it hence the title. And the point I'm getting to is the new Outdoor Adventure collection is so versatile! I love that! This layout is documenting my middle child who is my "wild child"! He loves anything that goes fast or is adventurous!

Imaginisce Supplies Used: Outdoor Adventure (patterned papers, die cuts, alphas)
Other suppliesSilhouette, The Twinery Twine

Its a perfect time of year for Outdoor Adventure to be released!  My family has been enjoying the nice weather and planning fun outdoor summer activities.
I love the bold and rich colors in the collection!  It was so each to to make these papers work with my photo.  I went for a nice kraft background and added a little white paint and mountain stamps.

I loved adding lots of layers with the paper papers, diecut shapes and foam tape!

Supplies:
Imaginisnce - Outdoor Adventure: Paper, Stickers, Diecuts, Stamps, Foam Tape
Other: Paint, Twine, Ink

Happy Camper

My favorite part of this entire collection is the smore's!  Smores are a great symbol of outdoor summer fun!  I have been made these little smore treat backs for an up coming party (as a Thank You gift for the hostess) using peat-pods (from a garden center) and the new Outdoor Adventure collection!

Supplies:
Imaginisce - Outdoor Adventure: Paper, Stickers, Deicuts, Foam Tape
Other: Twine

"Congrats"

Here's a card created with Outdoor Adventure.
Really loving this collection! It's so colorful and versatile!

Supplies: Imaginisce (Outdoor Adventure: patterned paper, Alphabet Sticker sheet, Oversized Die Cuts). Other: American Crafts cardstock.
Tools: Sizzix Big Shot, Cuttlebug embossing folder.

"Wild & Free" layout

This page is about my youngest whose greatest joy is climbing in trees. This Outdoor Adventure collection was just what I was waiting for to scrap the photos of him in our neighbour's tree. Especially the B-side of the Twin Peaks sheet (tree bark) was perfect!!

Supplies: Imaginisce (Outdoor Adventure: Patterned Paper, Sticker Stackers, Chipboard Stickers, Oversized Die Cuts). Other: Bazzill Basics cardstock; tag: misc.; Pen: K&Company Smash.
Tools: Silhouette Cameo, EK border punches.

I'm not sure if S'mores are a snack or a mandatory camping food group! There is no other food as iconic for camping.

We don't have a favorite that happens all of the time, but we do variations on s'mores a lot of the time. There's the traditional over the fire, but we also like to wrap the marshmallows and chocolate chips in tortillas and cover in foil and let sit over the fire too.

S'Mores are my favorite camping snack. We let the chocolate sit on the graham cracker near the flame while we roast the marshy. It's so good. We camp every year. It's my favorite thing.

Awesome idea's. This would be so perfect for fathers day too. I loved going camping with my dad and when he use to take us fishing. I wish I lived closer to him so we can have more of these memories. I love Jerky. That is my favorite snack especially when it comes to camping.

Canica said...

Gorgeous projects. What would camping be without toasting marshmellows over the camp fire!!

Love the big sheets of stickers!!!

Well, my family loves s'mores, of course. Our other more regular go to snack when hiking or sightseeing is GORP (good old raisins and peanuts). We have to add M&Ms. Chocolate makes everything better!

If you search "Imaginisce Outdoor Adventure" in Google. You'll see a post from 2 Peas come up in the first page of results. That's me! I've been waiting for this line for a LONG time. I have other camping lines (including past lines from Imaginisce, but I have very few dirt bike, 4 Wheeler themed products. So yeah!

My favorite snack (campfire or otherwise) is cookies. I'm probably the only human on the planet who does not like smores - just a little too sweet for me.

Oh, well, after a long hot day of trekking nothing beats backpacker pudding! Nice and wet and cool and yummy!
