Oh Happy Summer!

Summer is fast approaching and from the sounds of it some of you already are enjoying that warm weather!!!

Our DT was asked to create projects this week with a Summer theme and they have definitely created some beautiful work once again!!

Monique Liedtke

Hi Imaginisce friends! It's Monique today sharing my take on this month's sketch. I used the Sunny collection and this fun photo of my hubby and our two sons. As soon as I saw the bicycle paper I knew I wanted to scrap these photos but because they are already a few years old it took me a while to find them. Glad that I did in the end!

And except the paper with the bicycles I also used the journaling card with the bicycle! And don't you just love that sticker stacker with the camera?

I used the Silhouette Cameo to cut a title:

And added some hand journaling at the bottom of my page. I used the water melon die cut for the finishing touch.

And just to remind you what the June sketch looks like, here it is again:

Supplies:
Imaginisce: patterned papers, die-cut shapes, word stickers, sticker stacker (Sunny collection). American Crafts: cardstock. Other: Silhouette Cameo; cut file: Studio Calico.

If you decide to take a chance on this month's sketch then don't forget to share it with us! We would love to see it!

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by our blog today!

Father's Day Card Set

Monique Liedtke

Hi everyone! Monique here sharing two fun (grand) Father's Day cards.

For today's cards I selected the Par-r-rty Me Hearty collection because of the fun die-cuts I wanted to use and in particular that pirate die-cut!

Here's what I did:

The size of both cards measures 4"x 6", so they'll fit in a regular envelope.

I just love that angry parrot and those puffy gems stickers:

And because the kids want to send a card to their grandfather too I created one for him as well.

Supplies:
Imaginisce: patterned papers, puffy stickers, die-cuts (Par-r-rty Me Hearty). American Crafts: cardstock, Thickers.

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by our blog today! Have a great day!

Hello America

Monique Liedtke

Hi everyone! For today's "patriotic" feature I created this fun layout of my daughter celebrating her imminent departure for the USA with one of her best friends.

I started my layout with a large cut file of a star and adhered red and blue papers from the Par-r-rty Me Hearty collection behind it. Next I placed the 4 small photos in different ways on the background and decided I liked the angled look best.

Next I cut a large title also from the Par-r-rty Me Hearty collection and decorated my layout with die-cuts, puffy stickers and wood veneers from both the Happy Traveler and the Par-r-rty Me Hearty collection.

For the finishing touch I added a few drops of color mist and some machine stitching. Hope you like it!

Supplies:
Imaginisce: patterned papers, puffy stickers (Par-r-rty Me Hearty), die-cut shapes, wood veneers, puffy stickers (Happy Traveler), alpha stickers (Sunny collection). American Crafts: cardstock. Other: Silhouette Cameo; cut files: star cut file: Studio Calico, "America": Silhouette Store #8529, "hello": misc.

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by our blog today! Have a great day!

It's Birthday Time!!!

Monique Liedtke

Hello Imaginisce fans! For today I created a birthday layout using the awesome Par-r-rty Me Hearty collection. I used photos from quite a while ago, from way back when my oldest son turned 5 (next week he'll be 17!). I love to scrap these old photos as I have only a handful scrapbook pages from that time. I combined the boy and girl collection for this layout, because my daughter features in it as well.

And here are a few close-ups: I just love the huge festive octopus with the cup cake, present and balloon.

And how about the puffy gems? Aren't they lovely?

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut a large number 5 and the word "birthday" and added some Thickers and stickers to decorate them:

Supplies:
Imaginisce: patterned papers, die-cut shapes, stickers, puffy stickers (Par-r-rty Me Hearty). American Crafts: cardstock, Thickers.

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by our blog to take a look. Hope you like my page! Have a great day!

Rounding up our Teacher Appreciation week is the talented Monique with this fabulous thank you gift.

Hi everyone, as the school year is slowly nearing the end I started thinking about a little "thank you" gift for my youngest's teachers. He has two fabulous teachers, whom he has had for two years in a row, so we definitely want to thank them for their continuing support and inspiration over the last two years. We (not just my son, but my husband and I too) are going to miss them!

So here's what I did: I created two 3D door hanger "boxes" in which we put some chocolates. Of course they would also be perfect for any other kind of (little) present: a set of pens or pencils, a small plant or maybe even a (Starbucks )coffee cup:

I mainly used the "Happy Traveler" collection to decorate the door hangers because I felt the die-cuts in this collection were just perfect (like the tags and the tickets).

I used both my Silhouette Cameo and my Coluzzle circle cutter to create the door hangers and to smooth the edges I also used the Imaginisce D-Stress tool:

Here're a few more detail photos:

Supplies:
Imaginisce: patterned papers, die-cut shapes, wood veneers (Happy Traveler), die-cut and word strip stickers (Sunny collection). American Crafts: cardstock. Tools: Imaginisce D-Stress Tool. Other: 3D door box cut file: Silhouette Store #58494.

Are you going to create a little something for your kid's teacher?? If so, I would love to learn what it is!

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by our blog today! Have a great day!

Summer

Our design team have been given the chance to create whatever their heart desires this week.  And trust me ... you don't want to miss out on seeing these amazing creations!!

Hello eveyone! For today I created another layout using the latest Imaginisce collection "Sunny". I just can't get enough of the colors and fun elements of this collection.

I started my page with a huge background cut file and arranged my photos in a way I could still see some of the text of the cut file. It wasn't necessary to see everything but I definitely wanted the first and last word to show.

Next I chose a patterned paper for the background and thought this yellow/white striped paper was just perfect for a Summers page. I cut off half an inch on two sides and glued it on white cardstock.  I chose some pink watercolor paint and painted a strip right in the middle and added some drops of paint as well. Once that had dried I adhered the cut file and two strips of patterned paper at the top en bottom of my page and machine stitched everything.

I proceeded by matting my photos and adhering them the way I liked. I added die-cuts, stickers and wood veneers and a date stamp and was done!

I adore the flamingo die-cut and thought it was fun to give him a hat, lol!

I used some of the wood veneers from Imaginisce's Happy Traveler collection.

Love the clear die-cuts in the ephemera pack. I adhered them with little staples.

Supplies:
Imaginisce: patterned papers, die-cut shapes, word strip stickers, sticker stacker (Sunny collection), wood veneers (Happy Traveler). American Crafts: cardstock. Other: cut file: The Cut Shoppe.

Have you already had the pleasure to play with this collection? I would love to see what you've done if you have!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by our blog today!

Hello Sunshine Travel Journal

As we mentioned earlier this week our Design Team have been given the chance to create whatever they want this month.

We love how Monique has use the i-Rock tool on this beautiful travel journal!

Hi everyone! Monique here today, sharing a travel journal. A few weeks ago I shared a travel clipboard here on Imaginisce's blog using the "Sunny" collection (which you can find here). While I was busy decorating that clipboard, I thought it would be really nice to have a travel journal as well, which I could then bring with me when we go on vacation. As I really adore Imaginisce's Sunny collection I decided to use it to decorate a plain kraft notebook I had lying on my desk and turn it into this fun & bright travel journal:

Isn't it awesome? The happy colors and pretty designs are just so perfect to use for a travel journal, like for example these die-cuts:

I used Imaginisce's I-Rock tool to add some beautiful pink metallic glam rock hearts:

And I also used Imaginisce's I-Magicut Ribbon Cutter & Sealer to cut and secure the ribbons I used to decorate the wire on the side of my journal, so they wouldn't start fraying while traveling.

And now I can't wait to go on vacation and use this journal every day to write down all of our adventures!

Supplies:
Imaginisce: patterned papers, die-cut shapes, alphabet stickers, word strip stickers (Sunny collection). glam rocks. Tools: Imaginisce I-Magicut Ribbon Cutter & Sealer, Imaginisce's I-Rock tool.

And next I've got another little project I would really like to share. It's a week in my planner which I decorated with little bits and pieces from the Sunny collection as well. Even though I decorated the first week of March and used a summer (!) collection, I'm really happy with the result.

It so happens that after weeks of grey and cold weather here in The Netherlands, the sun was finally peeking through the clouds and all of a sudden I only wanted to use summer scrapbook items for my planner!

The stamps in this collection are SO fun for decorating your planner pages. Where I live everyone uses his/her bike every day, so the bike stamp had to be included!! But also the camera and the sentiment stamp are just great!

And what I also love to use for my planner pages are those strips of paper you find at the bottom of each of the patterned papers in this collection. I think my favorite is the strip of paper with the row of camera's!

Supplies:
Imaginisce: patterned papers, die-cut shapes, word strip stickers, stamps (Sunny collection).

Thank you so much for stopping by Imaginsice's blog today! Hope you enjoyed my projects.

Happy Easter

The colourful patterns in our new Sunny collection are perfect for summer but also spring & easter themed layouts.  Check out Monique's gorgeous page below.

Monique Liedtke

Hello Imaginisce fans! Can you believe it's almost Easter? I'm still waiting for Winter to kick in, as we haven't had a real Winter's day here in The Netherlands at all! But I guess that's out of the question for this year as the sun is shining and although it's still too cold to sit outside in my garden, Spring is clearly upon us. So when I saw today's feature was "Spring or Easter" I happily pulled out the brightly colored "Sunny" collection and got started.

Here's what I created, not using any real Spring/Easter papers at all, but with the beautiful papers of the Sunny collection and with some help of my beloved Silhouette Cameo I easily created this Easter layout:

Each year on Easter morning my kids go hunting for chocolate Easter eggs and bunnies my hubby and I hid the evening before; sometimes outside in the garden en sometimes in our house, depending on the weather. And although my kids are 11, 16 and 19 years old they all enjoy this tradition very very much!

I love the "Happy Easter" title I found in the Silhouette store because of the fun bunny ears and eyes on the "E". I used some pink American Crafts cardstock to cut it from.

I also cut the word "bunny" and the little chicken with my Silhouette and added a little Imaginisce word sticker for the finishing touch. The strip with the colorful triangles on the right of the photo is one of the fun die-cuts in the Sunny collection:

To create the tags I used a punch from my stash:

The little banner was hand cut and the puffy sticker is from Imaginisce's "Let's Travel" collection:

With the addition of some stamped sentiments and the date and a few drops of ink my page was finished. Hope you like it!

Supplies:
Imaginisce: patterned papers, word sticker, die-cut (Sunny collection), American Crafts: cardstock, twine, stamp.

Travel Clipboard

Wrapping up our craft week is this amazing travel clipboard idea created by Monique.

Hi Imaginisce fans! Are you just as excited as I am about the new Imaginisce summer collection "Sunny"?! I love this collection so much, ideas keep popping up in my mind and I just wish I could sit down and play with this fun collection for the entire week!

Over the weekend I've done quite a couple of projects already and today I want to show you one of them: a decorated clipboard. I decided on decorating this clipboard to collect ideas for our family summer vacation. We have no idea yet what we're going to do this summer, or rather, we have too many ideas but we just can't decide and pick one. All 5 of us want to do something else and now we're kind of stuck and nothing is happening. So something had to be done and then I came up with this idea: every family member will cut/print out his/her favorite summer destination and clip it on this board. Then in about 2 weeks time we'll sit around the table and assess all ideas and pick a number 1, 2 and 3 and see if we can agree on something we all like.

Here's a closer look at the clipboard I made using the fantastic Sunny collection:

I had a hard time choosing only a few of the fabulous patterned papers and decided on these fun patterns and with the addition of the journaling cards, a 3D sticker, some die-cut shapes and some Thickers I was done. Don't you just wish it was Summer already?!

I love all the pretty designs with the sun glasses, the bicycles, the flamingos, the cameras, the sea shells .... and then those awesome colors!

Both journaling cards were cut from the sheet called "Good Vibes":

These pink puffy letter stickers are a perfect match for this collection, don't you agree?

For a look at the entire collection, just hop over to this earlier blog post and scroll down a bit. Awesome right?

Supplies:
Imaginisce: patterned papers, die-cut shapes, sticker stackers (Sunny collection), American Crafts: Thickers

Thank you so much for stopping by our blog today, I hope I was able to inspire you a little bit. Wishing you a wonderful day!
