We're teaming up with Kiwi Lane Designs - Day 1

Good Monday morning!!

We've teamed up this week with Kiwi Lane Designs.  A super company!

They developed a scrapbooking method called "framing" allowing you to add as many photos as you want to your layouts keeping them looking elegant & professional.

Our team was given the privilege of using some of their templates.

So let's see what our Designers have created this week.

Grateful card

Using these templates was so fun!  I loved playing with them and moving them around, getting a feel for where they would work on the project.  On this card, as soon as I saw the Mini Aspen Court templates I knew I wanted to create movement on a card.  The template worked perfectly with the teal paper (Get Lost) to create a wave feeling.

Supplies:

Paper: Imaginisce (Outdoor Adventure)

Button, twine, stamp, wood veneer: From my stash

Kiwi Lane Designs (Mini Aspen Court)

Friendship Card

For this card I was so excited to break open the Tiny Shapes Accessory from Kiwi Lane!  I knew that these would be fun to layer and create visual interest on my card with.  The hardest part was deciding which shapes would work best together.  But, each piece was perfect for trying out different combinations!

Supplies:

Paper: Imaginisce (Childhood Memories)

iRock + Hot Rocks

Kiwi Lane Designs (Tiny Shapes)

Kiwi Lane 3D Pumpkins
I loved the Kiwi Lane pumpkin templates and knew they would make a great template for a 3D pumpkin.

Here’s how I made them:
1.       Trace the template onto patterned paper or cardstock

2.       Cut them out and then erase the pencil marks

3.       Fold them in half as much as possible making sure the color you want shown is on the inside of the fold.  The designs that are symmetrical work much better with this type of project

4.       Glue the pumpkins together (I use double sided tape).  I start with one folded pumpkin, add the adhesive to one of the folded sides then grab a second pumpkin and line it up with the folded edge of the First pumpkin the press together.

5.       Once you have all the pumpkins glued together trim the edges that are showing.  The more pumpkins you cut out the fluffier your pumpkin will be, for this example I used 6 pumpkins.

6.       To finish off the pumpkin wrap green twine around the top.

Once I had a few pumpkins made I knew I wanted to make a fall project for my mantle so I made some other pumpkins and used the Kiwi Lanes leaf template to make some leaves.  I know these pumpkins will look so good on my mantelpiece this fall.

Supplies: Patterned Paper Imaginisce, Templates – Kiwi Lane Designs Halloween 2 and Holiday 4T, Twine – The Twinery

Go Jump in the Lake

Kiwi Lane Designs make it really easy for a fast an fabulous layout to be created! I love the variety of the different shapes in the Shapes template! On my layout I layered the Hexagon Shape on the left side of my layout.  I also used the Aspen Court Template to create the wave like feature at the bottom of my layout.

Supplies: Outdoor Adventure Patterned Paper (Campfire Stories, Get Lost, Stay on the Trail,Trail Ride); Outdoor Adventure Oversized Die Cuts; Outdoor Adventure Sticker Stackers-Outdoor Journal; Endless Summer Patterned Paper (Creamsicle); Snag'em Stamp: Sun; ;Cardstock: Bazzil; Template: Kiwi Lane Designs (Shapes & Aspen Court); Punches (Fiskars & Martha Stewart); Markers: Copic and Sharpie
