Now onto our Christmas Countdown with

I love to make little home decor pieces that I can put around the house and add a little bit of holiday feel to the house. I have a few cabinets and counters where little frames and jars get added at the change of the seasons. I used the Colors of Christmas collection this year to make these two pieces to help mark the start of the holiday season.

I started with a plain jar found once when I was antiquing and added the vintage-style candy canes that are sold at our local grocery store. Scraps of paper from Colors of Christmas as well as layered die cuts and stickers added tot he front of the jar make it festive for the occasion. If I don't display this jar, it would also make a great last minute gift for someone on our list this year.

For the frame, I used a $1 deco frame from the dollar bins at Michael's. You have to love the treats and treasures you can find in there. I tore off the plastic from the front and reassembled the frame putting a fitted oval piece of cute pattern paper from Colors of Christmas for my background. Layering more die cuts, stickers and bling, and the frame is finished! I already have the spot picked out for this frame, but it would have been so easy to get a few more and decorate them to give as gifts or hang as ornaments on the tree. Dozens of possibilities!

Supplies:
Imaginisce: Colors of Christmas (Vintage Ornaments, Holiday Wishes, Bling, Sticker Stacker, Christmas Phrases, Christmas Journaling Die Cuts, Christmas Icon Die Cuts)
