Rounding up our Teacher Appreciation week is the talented Monique with this fabulous thank you gift.

Hi everyone, as the school year is slowly nearing the end I started thinking about a little "thank you" gift for my youngest's teachers. He has two fabulous teachers, whom he has had for two years in a row, so we definitely want to thank them for their continuing support and inspiration over the last two years. We (not just my son, but my husband and I too) are going to miss them!

So here's what I did: I created two 3D door hanger "boxes" in which we put some chocolates. Of course they would also be perfect for any other kind of (little) present: a set of pens or pencils, a small plant or maybe even a (Starbucks )coffee cup:

I mainly used the "Happy Traveler" collection to decorate the door hangers because I felt the die-cuts in this collection were just perfect (like the tags and the tickets).

I used both my Silhouette Cameo and my Coluzzle circle cutter to create the door hangers and to smooth the edges I also used the Imaginisce D-Stress tool:

Here're a few more detail photos:

Supplies:
Imaginisce: patterned papers, die-cut shapes, wood veneers (Happy Traveler), die-cut and word strip stickers (Sunny collection). American Crafts: cardstock. Tools: Imaginisce D-Stress Tool. Other: 3D door box cut file: Silhouette Store #58494.

Are you going to create a little something for your kid's teacher?? If so, I would love to learn what it is!

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by our blog today! Have a great day!
xoxo

Thanks so much

Just a simple 'thank you' can mean so much to someone.  Here's a beautiful card idea by Courntey.

"Thanks so much" cards

Court from Court’s Crafts here!

We were challenged with a “Teacher’s Appreciation” project. Everyone always needs thank you notes so I made these up Mother Goose style! As Emmaline is only 20 months the closest teacher we have is pre-school so I thought the fun - soft - colors were sweet instead of the normal red apple theme (which I love too!) We were told to think outside the box - I think this fits! :)

Totally loving these sweet buttons. They have subtle polka dots on them - darling detail.

And these wood veneer stars are too fun! I.am.addicted.

I hope this inspires you to grab some nursery themed papers, dies and colors and make some thank you notes for a teacher or a friend who is a teacher. :)

Have a beautiful day!

The Best Teachers

It's fun to think outside the box when giving teachers a special gift. That's exactly what Amanda has down here with her project!

Altered Frame - "The Best Teachers ..."

We transferred in to a new school this year, and my daughters were both lucky enough to get some AMAZING teachers. There were some rough days, for the girls and ME, as we transitioned, and these ladies stepped up and just loved our girls...and they have all become wonderful friends. When I saw this (http://www.pinterest.com/pin/209839663857358280/  )on Pinterest, I knew that I had to create it for one of them.

The bright yellow striped paper from the Welcome Spring line made for the perfect background!

I wanted to change it up a little bit, and using some paper from the Perfect Vacation 6x6  pad, I highlighted the "hearts" to make a statement.

When it came time to put this in the frame, I really wanted it to have some dimension. So, instead of putting it "in" the frame, using pop dots, I simply adhered it straight onto the glass. This gave it a solid backing, but lots of dimension!

Supplies used:
Imaginisce: Pattern Paper ( Welcome Spring, Perfect Vacation) Rhinestones ( Perfect Vacation)
American Crafts: Cardstock, Twine, Pop Dots

"Thanks a Latte!"

Gift cards are always a great choice for teachers and Sara has created this darling card for a gift card to fit inside! Check it out!

"Thanks" Gift Card holder

It's that time of year again when we need to start thinking about saying 'Thank You' to the teachers who have guided your children through the school year.  I like to get them something that is practical and I know they will use.
I went for my Imaginisce paper and found some soft neutral papers in the Out Door Adventure Collection and the Bushel O' Fall Collection and I used the perfect digital cut file for my Cameo in the Sillhoutte store to create this adorable coffee gift card holder.

I used pop dots when assembling the layers to give the a cup a fun feel!  What a great way to say Thank You for all you have done!

Teacher Appreciation Week

It's that time of year again when we are thinking of ways to say thank you to those special teachers and instructors in our children's lives.
This week a few of our DT members will be sharing some fabulous ideas to show appreciation to those special people.

"Good Times"

Can you believe that the school year is ending? So what are you going to be giving that special teacher in your kiddo’s life? Not sure… Well let me show you a quick and easy gift that we are giving Sydney’s teacher this year.

As you can see I used a dollar clipboard from the craft store and decoupage some pattern papers from the Perfect Vacation collection. I added a small pocket and filled it with some stickers a thank you card and a gift card to her favorite coffee shop.

I added this cute little flair button that is covered of apples.

Now let’s just take a quick look at the back.

Here is a better look at pretty little apple. I heat embossed this wood veneer apple and layered it on this cute little diecut from the Perfect VacationCollection.

There you have it a easy quick little project that is sure to make any teacher smile!

Teacher Appreciation Week - Day 4

We've come to the final day of our Teacher Appreciation week.

But we do have a couple more projects to share with you today to wrap it all up.
You won't be disappointed as the Design Team gals have all done such a fabulous job. I know that I would love to have been a teacher & received these gifts - they're all beautiful and so thoughtful!

At my son's school, Teacher Appreciation Week really is celebrated the whole week, so it's fun coming up with little things each and every day. This was the favorite, and was also the easiest to make! I started with a rectangle of the orange chevron paper and printed "my teacher is" then matted with a rectangle of brown cardstock. Next I added sticker letters and used capitol letters so the A & W would stand out. To finish, I tied the tag on the 6-pack of rootbeer with matching ribbon.

Supplies: Imaginisce (Makin' Waves paper); May Arts (Ribbon); American Crafts (alpha letters); Bazzill (cardstock)

Give your child's teacher a gift card and candy bar in matching patterns as a set. An easy way to make a gift card holder? Open up and trace an existing card holder from a retailer and cut out by hand with scissors or your paper trimmer. I used the template from an Ann Taylor Loft gift card since it had multiple folds for extra creativity.

Supplies: Imaginisce (Hello Cupcake: papers, stickers, die-cuts); alpha stickers, gift card, candy bar

Thanks for joining us these past few days!!

Have you had a chance to take some of these ideas and create your own teacher gifts?
If so, please share your ideas and projects (using Imaginisce product) on our Facebook page. We'd love to see them!
(if you share ... you may just be the lucky i-spy feature tomorrow!!)

Teacher Appreciation Week - Day 3

Welcome back to Day 3 of our Teacher Appreciation week.
Hearing those simple words "thank you" can mean so much and today Rebecca & Adora are sharing some beautiful projects to express that exact sentiment.

I bought an inexpensive chalk board then found a paint can and bell from the Target Dollar spot. I added a bunch of pencils in the paint can. Then I decorated everything with the Geek is Chic line, some denim Roly Rosies, Fabric Flowers and i-top brads. The Imaginisce die-cuts and Sticker Stackers make it very easy to alter items into fun gifts.

Supplies: Imaginisce (Geek is Chic: papers, die-cuts, sticker stackers, i-top brad, i-top 2.0 tool, fabric flowers, Roly Rosies (denim)

Here's to all the teachers out there, who pick a profession that devotes their lives to giving our children the tools to succed in their future. THANK YOU!! I made this "Thank You" card with bookmarks insert. (Note: on the bookmark I cut a 5" x 1 1/2" acrylic to put on top of the paper for a more polished look.

Supplies: Imaginisce (Berrylicious & Hello Cupcake: papers; i-top 2.0 tool, i-top brad daddy medium size, i-top paper punch); other (clear scraps acrylic, Jillian Vance Design Stamp, Martha Stewar Bird Punch and The Twinery)

We just want to remind you once again about our i-spy feature this coming Friday!!
Would you like to be featured???

Well, then please share what kinds of projects you've been working on for the teachers in your life. You can share your pictures on our Facebook page. (note: we're looking for projects with Imaginisce product)

Teacher Appreciation Week - Day 1

Teachers play such a significant role in our children's lives and with the school season coming to a close we often like to shower them with gifts and gratitude for all that they have done over the past year.

Today we want to share with you some great gift ideas to honor these special individuals.
(We also want to remind you to hop on over to the designers blogs as they share more photos and details about their projects.)

My daughter had a great teacher this year that always made sure good behavior was noted and rewarded. I heard from my daughter that kids sometimes got Smarties for good behavior or being "smart", but that the teacher recently ran out.

So I decided to make a treat jar that she could have on her desk that would be cute and useful, and I filled it to the brim with some more Smarties. This is a big plastic jar that housed almonds originally. I had it sitting around for a week or two, just waiting for the right project to come along.

Supplies: Imaginisce (Hello Cupcake: Papers, die-cuts, canvas stickers); Maya Road (trim); October Afternoon (Boldletter stickers); other (recycled plastic jar, candy)

I work at all the schools in our district and the staff often needs notecards for each other or parents, etc. I decided to gift a teacher friend with a card set. A sweet little box with four adorable cards inside and the box is reusuable!

Supplies: Imaginisce (Geek is Chic: papers, die-cuts); other (white cardstock); The Twinery (twine); Paper Smoothes (sentiment stamp); clear plastic sheet

We hope that you inspired by today's projects to create some gifts for the teachers in you & your child's life.

We would love to hear what you've been creating for a teacher or if you have a project created already please share it with us on our Facebook page.
We may just feature you on our i-spy this Friday!!
