Guest Designer and an i-top Give-away!

Today we are very excited to introduce our guest designer for the month of May, Robbie Herring. We are thrilled to have Robbie join us and we're sure you are going to love seeing her creations and learning a little bit about where Robbie comes from and her love of her family and all things crafty.

I am a born and bred Texan, who has been married 24 years. My husband and I have two great kids who are my inspiration.  I love crafts of any kind and I think I’ve tried just about everything.  In addition to scrapbooking, I enjoy sewing and painting.   Some friends introduced me to scrapbooking about 5 years ago. I started out thinking that I would make a senior album for each of my kids and that would be the extent of my involvement.  I was immediately hooked!  I love that scrapbooking feeds my need to be creative and is also something that I can leave for my children.

I am now an empty nester, so I have even more time to play with my supplies.  I love paper, everything shiny and you will almost always find a piece of ribbon on my layouts.

I had such fun with the products.  Terrific collections and terrific tools, who could ask for anything more?

Robbie has created a darling layout using the Little Cutie collection and just look at those sweet baby photos!
Robbie loved playing with the new roly rosies and of course a covered brad using her favourite tool, the i-top.
Another Little Cutie creation - this simply delightful card that would be perfect for any little princess. Robbie has had fun playing with the i-rock.
We love how she's made these adorable swing tags using the Little Cutie - Baby of Mine canvas stickers.
Now we asked Robbie some questions to get to know her just a little bit better and here's what she had to say:
Q. Diet or Regular?
A. Diet Dr. Pepper

Q. When and Where do you scrap/craft?
A.  Because my children are grown, I can scrap mostly when I choose. I tend to do my scrapping during the day while my husband is at work. We recently moved and I am really lucky to have a room dedicated to my scrapbooking and other crafting.

Q. What is the one item or technique you use most often?
A. Ribbon. I very seldom do a layout, card or altered item that doesn't include ribbon.

Q. What is your favourite embellishment?
A. Well again... ribbon! I've collected quite a large stash of ribbon over the years but I still tend to buy some almost every time I am in a craft or hobby store.

Another beautiful baby and another wonderful layout using the Little Cutie range.

Just look at that ribbon bow on the little teddy from the Momma's Little Boy Chipboard Stickers.
Such a sweet card for a new addition into the family.
Awww, look at those super cute covered brad wheels using the i-top. We think Robbie's getting a good grip on using her i-top.
Q. What is your favourite Imaginisce tool or product?
A. This is such a hard one!! I'm a true tool junkie, so I'm going to have to go with the i-top. It is a super close call between that and the i-rock. I love both of them for their versatility and ease of use. I also used the Roly Rosies tool for the first time and let me just say that you'll be seeing those sweet flowers turn up in my scrapbooking a LOT!

Q. How do you kick off your creative process?
A. How do you kick off your creative process? It usually starts with a stroll through my pictures.  Sometimes because I am planning to use a certain collection and am looking for just the right picture and sometimes because I just want to see what jumps out at me and inspires me.  If I’m in a scrap-slump I like to browse online galleries to be inspired.  I also love to find a great sketch and let someone else do the thinking occasionally.

Q. What product couldn't you live without?
A. I probably couldn't live without my printer. I print all my own pictures.

Robbie was lucky enough to recieve our brand new collection 'Happy Camper' which will be released next week.
Can you believe that fabulous hand stitching and the cute way Robbie has used the glamrocks and her i-rock to create little centrepieces inside the stitching. And can we spy more covered brad daddies?
Another Happy Camper creation and this time Robbie has made a striking retirement card.
We can see why Robbie couldn't live without her printer... what a wonderful sentiment for the inside of the card.
Q. What is the last book you read?
A. One of the Dark Series books by Christine Feehan.

Q. What did you want to be when you grew up?
A. I had several ideas in the way of what my job would be, but the one constant in my plans was that I knew that I would be a mom.

Q. What is the one thing (not a person) you couldn't live without?
A. I could not live without my phone!

Q. If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
A. I'm so blessed to live in the place that I would choose over any other... TEXAS!
