i-magicut Intensive - Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of our Intenstive with the new i-Magicut Ribbon Cutter/Sealer. This tool will solve all your misery with those frayed ribbon ends!

Here's another great video by a former Imaginisce Desginer, Erin Bassett, showing how to use this fun tool.

Our Design Team have been enjoying this tool so much and are we excited to share with you today some more of their fabulous projects!

"I wanted to make a summery card and gift-tag set, for a "pool party" kid's birthday (we go to a lot of those). The new Makin' Waves collection was perfect for this, and I love how the I-Magicut enabled me to add ribbon and other trims in a clean-cut way. For example, if you look at the edges of the tag, it ends perfectly at the corners, with no fraying. If I hadn't sealed the edges, I would have had to wrap them to the back, which would not have worked so well on a tag. I was also happy to discover that the tool works great on trims - such as the trim I used for "water" and the iridescent trim I used to make the banner on the card - both had several different fibers interwoven throughout, but all got sealed off with the I-Magicut."

"If you have a little girl you know that hairbows are a staple in your girl's "wardrobe." Thanks to Imaginisce you can create your own custom hair accessories and thanks to the I-Magicut your bows will last because the ribbon won't fray! The I-Magicut also saves a step because you cut and seal the ends of the ribbon strips at the same time. It's brilliant!"
"I also used the I-Top and the Twist Daddies for two of my bows and created the center to match using strips of overlapping matching ribbon. Simply overlap the ribbon strips, crossing them at the center, adhere with a tiny bit of glue using the I-Bond glue gun, and then place in the I-Top tool just like you would paper to create your twist daddies! You can then attach them to an I-Top alligator clip like I have with the aqua bow, or an I-Top headband like I did with the pink bow. Since they twist off you can put a new bow on the headband each day! I have step-by-step photos and a tutorial on how I made them on my blog."

Adora Concepcion
"One of my favorite things to alter are alphabet. You can get it in different forms, there's a paper mache, wood and metal. I have a little stock of alphabet projects sitting in my craft room. I just love the way it looks. It doesn't have to spell a word, it's just random letters I found everywhere. Of course my favorite letter to alter is "A". :) Today's project is a lower case A, and I love the shape of it! I used the gorgeous "Makin Waves" collection to cover it and then embellished the edge with Hot Rocks Accent Cristals. I also used the new i-top tool to make the middle part of the flowers. To complete the project I added some ribbons and I am so happy with the new i-Magicut tool. I love how it gives a clean and smooth cut, great for all your ribbon cutting needs!"

Well, I can tell you that as a cut template designer and artist, I use ribbon every time I craft but most importantly, I will be able to make hair bows and flowers for my greeting cards with a gift projects. I want to share a post from today that I had to redo the bow twice because I am currently using a lighter and it FREQUENTLY burns too much of the ribbon away! (especially organze) very tempermental! Feel free to come see what I mean *smiles* http://handmadebytlc.blogspot.com/2012/03/whimsy-march-release-day-and-mini-hop.html

I am working on some mini albums right now and learning to make some flowers with ribbon so I would love to win this I-Magicut! Thanks for the chance :)
