Christmas Countdown with Adora

"The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that
St. Nicholas soon would be there."

Have you set out your Christmas stocking yet?

made these adorable door knob hangers.

Christmas Stockings Door Decor

Hello everyone, this is Adora and for todays project I've created a door hanging decor.
My kids are older now but decorating for Christmas will never get old :).

First I traced and cut a shape of a stocking onto the patterned paper. I used a Clear Scraps
Stockings Album as a template , if you don't have one there's a lot of template you can print online.

Red and green are classic Christmas colors and I thought it will be a great for stocking.
Then I added stickers and die cut shapes to finish it off.

Supplies used: Colors of Christmas Collection and Christmas Cheer Die cuts.

Now a look at some awesome projects from our Design Team.

Christmas Cards

It's that time of year again and I am excited to sharing some new Christmas Card ideas with you today with the newest line from Imaginisce!
The colors from this collection give a bright and happy feel and I wanted my cards to send the same message.  I stuck with a solid cardstock for the card its self and then using foam tape I layered the embellishments.

I adore the new gems that are in this new collection - so many colors they are perfect for any project!

Supplies:  Imaginsice - 'HOLIDAY LINE' - Paper, Die Cuts, Gems
Other - Cardstock, Die, Adhesive, Punches
Thanks for stopping by!

Favorite Book (layout)
I love the Snag 'Em stamps that Imaginisce releases with each line. I am not a big stamper but I love the ability to "customize" my layouts with stamps. You can create your own embellishments, borders and backgrounds with stamps. With the small ornaments Snag 'Em I created a border background at the top of my layout. And all the newer bits and pieces that come now with Imaginisce collections - they are perfect for layering!

Supplies:
Imaginisce - Colors of Christmas; Patterned Paper, Snag 'Em Stamp, Die Cut Cardstock Pieces Icons, Phrases and Journaling
Other - Cut File: Heidi Swapp; Letter Stickers: Cosmo Cricket; Roller Date Stamp: Stampin Up

Holiday Cheer
One can never have enough cards around the holidays between thank you's and greetings! I used a two of the journal spots from the patterned paper Holiday Wishes to create this card and layered them on cardstock with die cuts for added layers. The twine as garland on the tree added a personal touch.

Supplies:
Imaginisce - Colors of Christmas: Patterned Paper, Die Cut Cardstock Pieces Icons and Phrases; Foam Tape
Other - Cardstock: Coredinations; Twine: The Twinery

WREATH
I used a flat chipboard wreath you can find at most craft stores as the base for my wreath. I then cut two different tones of green dot-embossed card stock for my base leaves. The leaves I cut from the Colors of Christmas paper pop up off the wreath when put in contrast to the two-tone green leaf base. The Colors of Christmas red bling add the perfect touch of sparkle to the wreath. Add in a bow and "Let it Snow" center ornament and the wreath is ready to hang from our doorway for the holidays!

Supplies:
Colors of Christmas: (Pattern paper: Peppermint Stripe, Vintage Ornaments), Bling, Phrases Die Cuts, Journaling Die Cuts, Icon Die Cuts, Sticker Stacker.

TUBE
I received a gift in this tube and re-purposed it for giving another gift. Filled with festive ornaments, this tube could also be filled with candy or small presents. A few sheets of paper, die cuts and stickers, and now this tube is ready to put a smile on someone's face this holiday season.

Supplies:
Colors of Christmas: (Pattern paper: Holiday Wishes, Vintage Ornaments), Journaling Die Cuts, Sticker Stacker, Bling.

"Holiday Cheer"

Today I've created these layouts with the new release  Colors of Christmas Collection.
This is a beautiful  collection and really easy to work on. This paper is so perfect for this layout of my grandson trimming the tree. All I did was framed my photo and added a few of the stickers and it's done. :)

"Let it Snow"

I've also created  this Winter theme layout using this Collection. For added dimension I used punched out snowflakes.

Supplies: Colors of Christmas Collection, Martha Stewart Punch.

Thanksgiving cards & decor ideas

We've got some super cute projects to share with you today as we continue our week of Thanksgiving inspiration.

Wreath

Thanksgiving means fun family gatherings, good food and feeling blessed, to name a few.  To get into the spirit of the holidays, decorating is underway in our household and it has begun with the dining room table scape.  For my Thanksgiving project I made a wreath that I incorporated into a table centerpiece.

I wanted to keep my wreath design simple, so I began by hand drawing a simple leaf design.  I cut the leaves out of the Bushel of Fall Collection patterned papers and inked all the of edges with brown ink.  Using a styrofoam wreath ring for the base, I layered and glued the leave around the ring.  I then tied an orange ribbon at the top.  Very clean, simple but bright fall color design.

To create the table scape, I used several white and orange faux pumpkins and propped the wreath against them.  I added a few fun smaller pumpkins, pinecones and candles.  I love the end result!

Supplies:  Bushel of Fall Collection, Brown Ink, styrofoam wreath ring, Imaginisce Hot Glue Gun, May Arts Orange Ribbon.

Thanksgiving Cards

Count your blessings, you have many :) I am thankful for my family, my job and friends,
really for the life I have given. What are you thankful for?

Today I created these thanksgiving cards. It's a simple gesture to let someone know how we feel. What I love about it is how fast and easy to put these together.

Supplies: Bushel of Fun Collection and Cardstock (unknown)

Hello everyone, I think I have found a new love with this project life idea. I love that it's fast and easy.
Perfect for all those photos that we sometimes neglect stored in a box waiting to be scrapped :).

Today I have these pages to share with you.
This is one of our family tradition, a trip to our favourite park in Carnation, WA. It's a fun place to celebrate the beginning of fall.

I love that the project life has pockets for lots of photos and patterned paper for design and embellishment.

Supplies: Bushel of Fall collection, Hampton Art Stamp.

Now it's your turn to share!!

And .... Halloween is in a few more days!  Do you have some excited little ones running around your household eagerly anticipating this day of dress-up and candy eating?!  I certainly do!

We are carrying on with our Halloween theme from last week and we've got some great Halloween inspired projects to share with you these next few days.

Candy Cones

Today I created this halloween cone shaped candy bags. Kids love it and it's also great as a halloween decor.
Making a paper cone shape is easy. First cut out a semi circle shape, then pull one corner of the paper towards the center and roll it inside so that the paper makes the shape of a cone.

Supplies used:  Monster Mash and Black Ice paper collection.
Other: Twine, Candy

"Boo!"

Halloween is my favorite holidays. I am more of the cute than scary person at Halloween and I wanted to capture that feeling with my layout.  I wanted to make my photo the center of the layout and at the same time add those cute embellishments and Imaginisce is always so perfect with those.  I also used some of the fabulous tools from Imaginisce.  I created my own "flair" by using the I Top and I added just a hint of bling with the I Rock tools.

Bushel o Fall - Day 3

We're back with some more goodies from our new fall release, Bushel o' Fall.
Here's a look at the Die Cuts from this fabulous collection.

Bushel o Fall Journaling  Die Cuts

Bushel o Fall Phrases

So Dear

We've got some more fabulous projects to share with you today so let's get started.

"So Thankful" layout

This new fall line from Imaginisce is my new favorite!  I love fall, its my favorite time of year and this collection captures the beauty of fall with its colors and unique embellishments!
I started with a fun design across the bottom of my layout with a verity of papers in the shape of a triangle - I had a hard time picking just a few pattern papers to use!  I did a little photo matting and foam tape to my die cuts and alphas to make them stand out.
This was the perfect collection for this adorable photo of my two boys!

Supplies:
Imaginisnce: Fall Collection - Paper, Die Cuts
                     Childhood Memories - Alphabets
                     Foam Tape
Other: Adhesive

"Bushel of Fun"
Imaginislce's Bushel of Fall Collection is fabulous!  I love everything about it, especially the colors and the fun embellishments.  The embellishments are really cool in this collection because they allow for more freedom to mix, match and combine them to achieve your perfect look.  I made some hand cut shapes with several of the fun pattern papers and paired them up with similar shaped embellishments like the pennant sticker with the deer on it and the Bushel of of Fun circle embellishments.  I clustered them together towards the bottom of the page so that the adorable photo remained the focus of the layout.  My kiddos love to go the pumpkin patch, in fact my son asks to go throughout the year because he loves it so much.  He doesn't like the fact that he has to wait until October.  This collection is great for pumpkin patch photos!

Supplies:  Bushel of Fall Collection, Brown Ink, Brown Pen, Mini Scallop Scissors, foam tape.

"Autumn Blessings"
With every collection I always find that I don't use the journaling cards very much.  So with this layout, I was determined to use them.  I cut all of them out and made a collage with them.  By layering them, I could also spread the journaling out rather than traditionally using just one for all the journaling.  The cool thing about doing the collage is that although it is part of the background of the page it also became the main embellishing of the page.  I love the wood buttons and rhinestones in this collection and thought they would be the perfect addition to the journaling cards.

Supplies:  Bushel of Fall Collection, Brown Ink, Corner Rounder, Small Pinking Scissors.

Autumn Blessings Layout

I love the beginning part of fall where we still get the afternoon sunshine, it's warm,  sunny with a cool breeze, a welcome relief for the
not so anticipated cold winter and a great way to end the summer.  I created this layout of my nieces and son at the pumpkin farm on a gorgeous
October afternoon. I love the bright and rich color of this collection, it's a perfect match for any fun, bright and any fall photos you have.

Bushel of Fun Layout

This second layout is my grandson having  fun with the wheelbarrow,  determined to haul the pumpkin of his choice :) . I created flower rosette to
match with the round sticker title. what I love about this layout is the color contrast, the darker background against the rich bright colors of the pumpkin paper.

Supplies: Imaginisce Bushel of Fall Collection
Other : Martha Stewart Score Board tool.

Fall Cards
This fall line by Imaginisce is one of my favorite fall themed lines, EVER.  I absolutely love the fresh colors that give this line a modern look while still having lots of traditional elements.

I wanted to create a couple of fun and festive cards that were still simple.  They are created easily with only a few elements from this great line!

Autumn Blessing:
Patterned Paper: Imaginisce
Cardstock, string, leaf and clip: from my stash

SO thankful:
Patterned Paper, Label, Sticker Stacker and bling: Imaginisce
Cardstock: From my stash

"We Love Fall"

With the wonderful colors in this collection I couldn't NOT make a page using them.  I was so in love with the aqua and orange for fall I knew they would be so fun and playful -- which is perfect for my style.  Add in some of the cute elements and those gorgeous wooden buttons?  You have a fall page perfect for showcasing one of my favorite photos -- a perfect fall photo of our home!

Supplies: Patterned Papers, stickers, labels, bling, buttons, die cuts: Imaginisce
Background paper: From my stash
