Inspired by Color with Fleur & Apryl

Welcome to another day of color & creativity.

Aren't these colors breathtaking?
Don't you wish that you could see that butterfly take off & fly in the air?

If you missed yesterday's post here's what this challenge is all about.
We've asked our Design Team to create a project using this color combination as their inspiration. They can use all or some of the colors and the butterfly can be part of their creative ideas as well.

We also have a Challenge for You:
We'd also like to have you join in on this challenge and create something using this color piece.  Post your work on our Facebook page or leave us a comment on the posts this week with a link to your project. We'd love to share your work on our blog this Friday for our i-spy feature

Here's what our designers have to share with you today.

Butterfly Gift Bag

Not only did I love the colors from this month’s color challenge but I also loved the beautiful butterfly in the photo and decided to incorporate it into my project.  I made a gift bag and used my Silhouette to cut out the branch, flowers and butterfly and added them to the bag.  To finish off the flowers I used the Glam Rocks in white for the centre of the flowers.

Supplies: Patterned Paper - Imaginisce Good Dog and Childhood Memories Collections, Imaginisce Glam Rocks – White, Cardstock – Core’dinations Cardstock, Die Cut Machine – Silhouette

"Let's Party" For the Inspired  By Color challenge I made a fun Party Invitation.  I started with a basic brown and beige background and accented it with the Color Shine spray.  The color shine colors used are teal and gold.  I then combined the pretty blue and orange on the left side of the card for a bold background to the flowers. For the festive look of the card, I made flowers using the Paper punches.

I wanted to keep the card simple in design but incorporate as much color as possible.  I tied in the rest of the colors in the challenge by using the polka dot paper from the Animal Crackers collection for the second layer of the flowers.

I also sprayed the flowers with some Color shine and added the pearl brads.  I had fun with this project and hope that you will join in the Inspired By Color challenge and have some fun of your own!

Supplies:  Paper from Happy Camper Collection, Good Dog Collection, Animal Crackers Collection, Beige & Brown Cardstock, Heidi Swap Color Shine (Teal & Gold) , Glossy Accents, Aqua Stickles, Pearl brads, Imaginisce's Paper Punch Small & Medium, Sunset Sizzix Font.
