Christmas Countdown with Apryl

Welcome back to another day of our Christmas Countdown projects.

Today we have design team member
sharing this fabulous advent calendar village.

Santa's Village Advent Calendar
For a long time I've been wanting to make an Advent Calendar, and every year I miss the mark.  This year, I did it!  I am in love with this project and so are my kids!

What I love about this Advent is the sizes of the compartments.  You can fill them with an assortment of goodies to keep things exciting the whole month through.  If you have more than one child, there's room in each compartment to put multiple items also.

The Colors of Christmas Collection brought the buildings to life with the beautiful colors and patterns.  I added a little sparkle with the I-rock and some Stickles.  It was a lot of fun to make and it's full of holiday joy everyday!

Supplies:  Colors of Christmas Collection, SVGcuts Santa"s Village Advent Calendar, I-Rock, Hot Rocks, Stickles.

Colors of Christmas Release Party - Day 3

So are you getting in the holiday mood yet? Aren't the design team projects fabulous?
So much inspiration!!

Here are the Die Cuts to the Colors of Christmas collection. They are super for adding titles to layouts, or a sentiment to a card, etc.

Die Cuts
Here's what our design team created with this festive collection.

"Merry Christmas" layout

The Colors of Christmas Collection has to be my favorite Christmas collection Imaginisce has put out.  I love the softer colors and designs on the patterned papers.  So, I was more than excited to get my hands on it and dig in.  I decided to use this crazy picture of my family.  Recently it has become a tradition to do a scary rarrr picture in front of our Christmas Tree.  Don't ask me why and I don't know how it came about, but we love it and get a kick out of looking at the funny pictures.

Imaginisce Supplies: Colors of Christmas Patterned Paper, Die Cuts, Die Cut Tags, Sticker Stacker, Bling Pack

Other Supplies: Veneer Embellishments, Twine, Silhouette Cameo an machine sewing

Holiday Wishes

I absolutely LOVED the colors in this collection, and wanted to create a traditional holiday layout highlighting my favorite picture of my son from last years Christmas!  The die-cuts in the collection are so super cute, so I decided to cut them and half and add them as a scalloped border around the large circle. I love how all the bits and pieces of this collection got together so well!

Supplies: Colors of Christmas-Patterned paper, Die-cuts, Die-cut Tags, Bling Pack  Other- The Twinery Twine

Nutcracker

When I saw this collection and thought my decor for the holidays I knew that I wanted to create something for my home.  So when I came across this SVG Cuts file of a Nutcracker, ... well I was smitten on the spot!! I loved it!
I added glam rocks with the i-rock tool and adhered the pieces together with my i-bond.
More info about Mr. Nutcracker are up on my blog.

Supplies: Imaginisce (Colors of Christmas - patterned papers, bling; i-bond, i-rock and glam rocks); Core'dinations Colorcore Cardstock; Xyron adhesives); The Twinery (twine), May Arts (blue ribbon/fiber); Cuttlebug & embossing folder

Christmas Layouts
Can I just say that the new Colors of Christmas Collection is the cutest!  I am in love with those little owls and hedgehogs.  I could not wait to start working with this line.  Christmas morning photos with my kids were perfect to pair up with the bright and cheery papers.

For my first layout I wanted to implement the negative space of punched shapes and did so with a scalloped circle punch.  I punched the shape out of white card stock and used it for the background of the layout.  I filled the punched out space with the fun patterned papers.  I then punched the same shape out of more patterned papers.  I like how the look came out, gave the layout some fun dimension.

The second layout has more fun photos from Christmas morning!  A simple design with the bracket shape and film strip style presentation of the photos.

Supplies:
Be Merry Collection
White Cardstock
Black Felt Pen
Scalloped Circle Punch

Thanksgiving cards & decor ideas

We've got some super cute projects to share with you today as we continue our week of Thanksgiving inspiration.

Wreath

Thanksgiving means fun family gatherings, good food and feeling blessed, to name a few.  To get into the spirit of the holidays, decorating is underway in our household and it has begun with the dining room table scape.  For my Thanksgiving project I made a wreath that I incorporated into a table centerpiece.

I wanted to keep my wreath design simple, so I began by hand drawing a simple leaf design.  I cut the leaves out of the Bushel of Fall Collection patterned papers and inked all the of edges with brown ink.  Using a styrofoam wreath ring for the base, I layered and glued the leave around the ring.  I then tied an orange ribbon at the top.  Very clean, simple but bright fall color design.

To create the table scape, I used several white and orange faux pumpkins and propped the wreath against them.  I added a few fun smaller pumpkins, pinecones and candles.  I love the end result!

Supplies:  Bushel of Fall Collection, Brown Ink, styrofoam wreath ring, Imaginisce Hot Glue Gun, May Arts Orange Ribbon.

Thanksgiving Cards

Count your blessings, you have many :) I am thankful for my family, my job and friends,
really for the life I have given. What are you thankful for?

Today I created these thanksgiving cards. It's a simple gesture to let someone know how we feel. What I love about it is how fast and easy to put these together.

Supplies: Bushel of Fun Collection and Cardstock (unknown)

We'd also love to see what ideas you have for scrapbooking this way. So at the end of this post there's a link for you to share with us your creations.

Today design team member, Apryl Holland, has created a fabulous double page spread focusing on the Gratitude Theme that we've had all week long on our blog.

Project Life style of scrapbooking has been a new venture for me the last few months.  Although I love designing the traditional layouts, I do love this simple style also.  The layouts go together so quickly and use lots of photos.  The theme of my project life layouts I'm sharing today is Thanksgiving.  Imaginisce's Bushel of Fall Collection was a great choice to pair with my Thanksgiving day photos.

I had fun filling the pockets of these pages in a way that tells a story.  The Bushel of Fall Collection has some great journaling cards that I incorporated and added some simple embellishments.

Supplies:  Bushel of Fall Collection, Becky Higgins Project Life pages.

Now it's your turn to share!

We're back with some more goodies from our new fall release, Bushel o' Fall.
Here's a look at the Die Cuts from this fabulous collection.

So Dear

We've got some more fabulous projects to share with you today so let's get started.

"So Thankful" layout

This new fall line from Imaginisce is my new favorite!  I love fall, its my favorite time of year and this collection captures the beauty of fall with its colors and unique embellishments!
I started with a fun design across the bottom of my layout with a verity of papers in the shape of a triangle - I had a hard time picking just a few pattern papers to use!  I did a little photo matting and foam tape to my die cuts and alphas to make them stand out.
This was the perfect collection for this adorable photo of my two boys!

Supplies:
Imaginisnce: Fall Collection - Paper, Die Cuts
                     Childhood Memories - Alphabets
                     Foam Tape
Other: Adhesive

"Bushel of Fun"
Imaginislce's Bushel of Fall Collection is fabulous!  I love everything about it, especially the colors and the fun embellishments.  The embellishments are really cool in this collection because they allow for more freedom to mix, match and combine them to achieve your perfect look.  I made some hand cut shapes with several of the fun pattern papers and paired them up with similar shaped embellishments like the pennant sticker with the deer on it and the Bushel of of Fun circle embellishments.  I clustered them together towards the bottom of the page so that the adorable photo remained the focus of the layout.  My kiddos love to go the pumpkin patch, in fact my son asks to go throughout the year because he loves it so much.  He doesn't like the fact that he has to wait until October.  This collection is great for pumpkin patch photos!

Supplies:  Bushel of Fall Collection, Brown Ink, Brown Pen, Mini Scallop Scissors, foam tape.

"Autumn Blessings"
With every collection I always find that I don't use the journaling cards very much.  So with this layout, I was determined to use them.  I cut all of them out and made a collage with them.  By layering them, I could also spread the journaling out rather than traditionally using just one for all the journaling.  The cool thing about doing the collage is that although it is part of the background of the page it also became the main embellishing of the page.  I love the wood buttons and rhinestones in this collection and thought they would be the perfect addition to the journaling cards.

Supplies:  Bushel of Fall Collection, Brown Ink, Corner Rounder, Small Pinking Scissors.

Autumn Blessings Layout

I love the beginning part of fall where we still get the afternoon sunshine, it's warm,  sunny with a cool breeze, a welcome relief for the
not so anticipated cold winter and a great way to end the summer.  I created this layout of my nieces and son at the pumpkin farm on a gorgeous
October afternoon. I love the bright and rich color of this collection, it's a perfect match for any fun, bright and any fall photos you have.

Bushel of Fun Layout

This second layout is my grandson having  fun with the wheelbarrow,  determined to haul the pumpkin of his choice :) . I created flower rosette to
match with the round sticker title. what I love about this layout is the color contrast, the darker background against the rich bright colors of the pumpkin paper.

Supplies: Imaginisce Bushel of Fall Collection
Other : Martha Stewart Score Board tool.

Fall Cards
This fall line by Imaginisce is one of my favorite fall themed lines, EVER.  I absolutely love the fresh colors that give this line a modern look while still having lots of traditional elements.

I wanted to create a couple of fun and festive cards that were still simple.  They are created easily with only a few elements from this great line!

Autumn Blessing:
Patterned Paper: Imaginisce
Cardstock, string, leaf and clip: from my stash

SO thankful:
Patterned Paper, Label, Sticker Stacker and bling: Imaginisce
Cardstock: From my stash

"We Love Fall"

With the wonderful colors in this collection I couldn't NOT make a page using them.  I was so in love with the aqua and orange for fall I knew they would be so fun and playful -- which is perfect for my style.  Add in some of the cute elements and those gorgeous wooden buttons?  You have a fall page perfect for showcasing one of my favorite photos -- a perfect fall photo of our home!

Supplies: Patterned Papers, stickers, labels, bling, buttons, die cuts: Imaginisce
