Today we have a few more designers sharing their creativity with us.

I used a large Imaginisce Die Cut from the Christmas Cheer line as my jumping off point. I layered it on top of some Christmas cheer patterned papers and topped it off with a big bow and some extra ruffled ribbon. Finally I added some metal i rock bling as white polka dots on the die cut.

Supplies Used:
Imaginisce Christmas Cheer patterned papers and die cuts, i Rock Metal Bling, May Arts ribbons

During the two years we lived in Minnesota, we got to experience the coldest Christmases we would ever have dreamed possible! Now that we are back in California, I think often of our friends that are still shivering through the Midwest and wanted to send them a bit of warm winter wishes.

I combined the Makin' Waves and Christmas Cheer collections to make a fun, whimsical surfing Santa card. I love the darling canvas stickers and put them together for a jolly old elf who really knows how to 'hang ten!'

Supplies used:
Patterned Paper: Makin' Waves and Christmas Cheer (Imaginisce); Stickers: Makin' Waves and Christmas Cheer Canvas (Imaginisce); Dies: Make a Snowflake Die (Taylored Expressions); Accents: button (generic); Stickles (Ranger); Cardstockred (Bazzill); Fibers: red satin (generic)

I had so much fun working on this project  - plus for a good cause, how exciting is that!!!! Card making for me is really addicting, you really can't stop with one and with Imaginisce Christmas Cheer collection,  you  have everything you'll need, quick and easy!  and you'll love every card you'll make.

Supplies Used: Imaginisce Christmas Cheer Collection, Impress Cardstock.

I love making Christmas Cards.  Maybe it's because I love receiving handmade cards. Cards that have had some thought and special care put into them really catch my eye and make me feel special.  Those are my favorite ones.

I created this card base using my Cricut Expression and the Birthday Bash cartridge. Cut some patterned paper just a bit smaller than the front of the card and adhered some May Arts red ribbon behind the die-cut strips of 'ribbon' & bow' for the gift from striped paper.

Using some foam tape behind the large poinsettia die cut adds a little bit of dimension to my card. I finished my adhering some orange colored Rhinestones to the center of the flower.

Supplies: Imaginisce (Christmas Cheer: patterned papers, die-cuts, canvas sticker, Rhinestones, i-rock tool); The Twinery (red twine); cardstock; Cricut Expression 2, Birthday Bash Cartridge

Santa Joy Card
It's easy to create your own banner by using this simple method:
1- Decide how wide you want the top of your banner to be
2- Decide how tall you want your banner to be3- Using those two dimensions (mine were 1"W x 1.25"H) cut a square of that size4- Divide the width in half and make a mark in the middle (bottom of square)5-Using a straight edge, draw a line from each top side to the mark at the bottom; cut
This may seem a little elementary, but when you have a limited space (such as a card front) it helps to keep
the banner tops from being too wide :)  Tying a bow of baker's twine to one side gives the appearance that the banner
has actually been strung across the card.

Christmas Cheery Supplies: Candy Cane Forest 12 x 12 Paper
Warm Wishes 12 x 12 Paper; Christmas Joy 12 x 12 Paper and Gift Giving 5 x 7 Sticker Stacker  Tools: Clicut Retractable Pen KnifeColored Foam Tape - White

Bell Card
Large die-cuts from any Imaginisce Collection are simply perfect for making cards!  I like to add that little 'extra', so I often
remove small accents from the Sticker Stackers and layer them with a larger element...perfect.  And when setting out to make a bundle of the same card, use your home computer and printer to easily create a row of sentiments.

I'm so honored to be contributing my card to Share-A-Card. It's a wonderful organization which helps so many people and I hope you all will join us! My holiday card features the  Christmas Cheer collection using diecuts and Snag'Em stamp.. and May Arts ribbon is always a gorgeous addition to any project!

Rhonda Van Ginkel

Hi there!  I was so excited that the gals here at Imaginisce are partnering up with such a great organization!  I created two cards, one pretty clean and simple and another featuring our Snag 'em Stamps with our Christmas Cheer Collection.

I loved the elegant look of the embossed white against the red card stock, so I used it and a cute die and layered with a bit of foam tape.  I accented the "Ho Ho Ho" with a bit of bling with my iRock.

For my next card, I used our Rudolph Snag 'Em stamp for inspiration, colored and cut him out and layered with a few other elements.  I punched a snowflake from my little folder tab die for some negative space interest and layered a white punched snowflake on top.  I really had fun creating these cards and hope that you'll join us in supporting Share - A - Card!

Supplies:  Christmas Cheer Papers, Chipboard and Sticker Stacker, iRock, Glam Rocks Pogo and Foam Tape by Imaginisce, Red and White Cardstock by Bazzill, Burst die by Memory Works, Fishtail die by MFT, Tab die by Lifestyle Crafts, Cheery Lynn Border die, Scallop border punch by Fiskars, Embossing plate by Spellbinders, Snowflake punches by Martha Stewart, Big Shot by Sizzix, Copics, Memento Ink, Sentiment stamp by Hero Arts, Ribbon by May Arts.

Let's take a look at some more of the cards that our Design Team gals have created for this project.

Mary Ann Jenkins

I was so excited when I saw the cards the design team were making would be going to such a great orginization like Share a Card, I decided to make three!  All were very easy to make using the coording papers from the Christmas Cheer collection and matching Chipboard Sticker and Sticker Stackers.

Supplies Used: papers - Snowdrift, Christmas Joy, Candy Cane Forest, Peace on Earth Chipboard Stickers, Happy Holidays Sticker Stacker, Gift Giving Sticker Stacker, Kraft Cardstock, Doily

Guiseppa Gubler

Holiday cards are some of the easiest and funnest cards to make.  I made these card using the Christmas Cheer Collection.  I wanted to create two cards...both different.  One is just a regular 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 square card and the other is a tag card, held by a pocket.  I love the fact that these cards are going to help bring some cheer to someone who is sick or afflicted.  What an awesome way to share our craft with others.

Imaginisce Supplies: Christmas Cheer- patterned paper, Sticker Stackers, Die Cuts and Canvas  Stickers

Share-a-Card - Day 1

We have a very exciting week planned here on the Imaginisce blog!

We know that there are many crafters out there that create cards for the holidays.
We also know that many of you have started making some already.

Well our Design Team have been busy little elves lately and have been creating a plethora of beautifully themed holiday cards that they are going to send off to a charity.

The organization is called Share-a-card.
Right now they are holding a Holiday Card Project where they asking for handmade holiday cards. They would love to reach their goal of 10,000 this year. Last year they received almost 9,000 cards.

The purpose of their Holiday card project is:
... to gather Christmas greeting cards and distribute them to seriously ill people who have been featured on ShareaCard and are in active status (we have had an update within the last 6 months). It is well known that the holiday season is extremely depressing to the shut-in and the very ill. They watch all around them as everyone shops and bakes and enjoy themselves, all the while many cannot even leave their homes and are ill from all their medical treatments. YOU can help make a difference in their holiday season! Just imagine the delight when a Feature receives a large box filled with greeting cards from all the United States and Canada, wishing them well and sending along caring thoughts. EVERY card received will make an impact this holiday!

Anyone can participate!  For more detailed info on this fabulous project you can go to their website, Share-a-card or click HERE.
If you aren't a cardmaker you will see that there are a variety of ways in which you can participate.

We would love to challenge you to participate in this project with us & our Design Team.

Here is are the Guidelines for the Holiday Card Project:

*1-- Cards should be signed with your first name and the state in which you are from.

*2-- Cards can be store bought/handmade or even construction paper. It's the intent behind the card that means the most!

*3--You may mail to all of the Features or select from the list on the right.

*4--We appreciate all cards but suggest cheerful cards of encouragement, rather than "Get Well cards", since our Feature's are all at various stages of their illnesses.

*5--The Year End Feature's names were not known at press time so you may either put a post it note on the front stipulating "December Feature #1" etc... or leave unaddressed and we will write their name on the envelope for you when we sort them.

*6--There is no need to stamp your envelopes in a package of many cards or include stamps.

*7--You may mail your cards as early as you wish but no later than December 1st.

 *8--Small gifts/stickers etc..are accepted but not required!
They will be forwarded onto the Feature's they are addressed to. ShareaCard will cover that postage as well.

*9-- Our Features love children's cards! If possible, have them sign with their first name and their age.

*10--Envelopes are not required. All cards are sorted into boxes so our Features receive your cards no matter how you send them!

*11-- If your cards arrive unaddressed or not in envelopes... no problem! We count all cards so if for example, you send 24 cards...we assume you are sending to all the women. If you send 41 cards, we assume you are sending to all Features. Don't worry, all the cards are distributed!

*12-- Ask your friends to help! We'd love to have your family/youth group/stamping friends/scout troop etc...send cards! If your group needs more info on ShareaCard, we'd be happy to get them the information needed!

*13--Since you have requested to be able to send cards earlier this year and avoid confusion in sorting, we ask that you make sure your outside card package says:

Now let's take a look at what our some of our Design Team gals have created.

    Santa Card

The "Christmas Cheer" die-cuts package comes with a ton of things in it - some are quite large, like this Santa, and therefore could make perfect shaped cards! To make a shaped card, get some thick cardstock that could serve as a card base, and score and then fold in half. Adhere your die-cut, and cut out along one side of it. To finish up, don't forget to add some white cardstock or light paper on the inside so you can write a note.

Supplies: Paper, Die-Cut: Imaginisce (Christmas Cheer), Bling: Imaginisce (I-Rock), Cardstock: My Favorite Things, Ink: Tsukineko.

    Christmas Wreath Card:

With all the stickers and other embellishments that coordinate with this collection, putting Christmas cards together is a breeze. If you have time, adding a little ribbon or bling to each adds a more personal touch. Otherwise, if you have a ton of Christmas cards to put out, some paper and a sticker or die-cut is plenty for a unique and sweet card :)
Supplies: Paper, Dimenstional Sticker: Imaginisce (Christmas Cheer), Ribbon: May Arts, Die-Cutting Machine: Sizzix (Big Shot), Die: Cheery Lynn (French Pastry Doily), Ink: Tsukineko, Other: cardstock.

Here are two holiday cards using the fabulous Christmas Cheer collection. It is so easy to mix and match the patterns and colors in these papers to create layered cards. The inside of the cards are stamped with a holiday sentiment sending Christmas wishes.

SUPPLIES: Imaginisce Christmas Cheer pattern papers Christmas Joy and Snowdrift, 3-D stickers; twine; Cameo; cardstock

I created the card using a cutting file, which I downloaded from the Silhouette store. I then pulled out my i-rock and adorned the trunk of the tree with brown, square glam rocks and added "ornaments" using the round glam rocks. I had soo much fun decorating this tree for someone special.

    Supplies:
    Papers: 400041, 400037, 400036, 400040
    i-rock and glam rocks
    Brown cardstock for the base
    Silhouette CAMEO

    *******

Thanks ladies. These are just gorgeous and the people who receive will be so grateful.

Join us again tomorrow for more holiday themed cards.
We hope that you'll also join us in creating cards to send off to Share-a-Card's Holiday Card Project!
