Scraps - Day 5

We hope that after you've seen this week's past assignments that you will be inspired to use up your scraps.  There are so many creations that you can make and a great way to use up your product.

"Believe"

I really loved today’s assignment: using scraps of my favorite Imaginisce collections! And so I did, I used lots of them! Like probably every other scrapper I took lots of photos during New Year’s Eve and I wanted to scrap them straight away. This one is my favorite: my husband and 3 kids busy setting off their stash of firework. I don’t really like firework myself, but I love taking pics and so we’re all happy!

Supplies:
Imaginisce: patterned papers (Colors of Christmas, Outdoor Adventure, Bushel O’ Fall), Alphabet Sticker Sheet (Love You More), Bling (Colors of Christmas), Button (Bushel O’ Fall), Die-Cuts (Colors of Christmas).
American Crafts: glitter ribbon.

We've got some more great ideas to share with you today!

"Wild Child"

I have just what I needed for this project, a big bag of Imaginisce scraps!  I always keep my scrap paper and those almost use up sticker sheets, you never know when you will need them.

I am working on a Project Life album for my son's school years and this Scrap Challenge was just what I needed to get a jump on this project!

As you can see I did one double sided Project Life page and boy double sided paper sure does come in handy for stuff like this!

Keep your scraps and challenge yourself to use them!

Supplies:

"You're 61?"

I loved loved loved using up some Perfect Vacation papers for my dad's birthday card. He has a great sense of humor and will love this card. He is 61 going on 40.
This line is super versatile … I am even going to be using it for a Valentine's card coming up in a couple weeks!

Scraps - Day 3

As we mentioned at the beginning of the week our DT have been creating projects using up their scraps. A super great way to use up your old supplies before buying all the new amazing products that are coming out after CHA!!

Let's see what they created.

"Surprise" Birthday Card

I am almost always creating birthday cards from scraps.  It is easy to use scraps to make the colors and style match the personality of the recipient.  This simple card was created by combining a Silhouette cut file and some simple Imaginisce die cuts.  Under a few random circles I added some colored scrap papers.  Adding a ribbon and some enamel dots helps create some different textures and tie the whole thing together.

Supplies Used:
Die Cuts: Imaginisce Birthday Bash
Patterned Paper: Imaginisce Berrylicious
Cardstock: American Crafts
Enamel Dots: My Mind's Eye
Ribbon: Ribbons Unlimited

"Let it Snow" Card

My favorite thing to do with scraps is to cut them up and put them back together to make something interesting!  For the background of this card I cut triangles out of the light blue paper and then applied them to the card leaving spaces between, allowing the base to peek through!  I also fussy cut some snowflakes from scraps and surrounded those by small snowflakes punched in a complementary colour

Supplies Used:
Stickers: Imaginisce Childhood Memories
Patterned Paper: Imaginisce Colors of Christmas
Cardstock: CutCardStock
Gems: Queen & Co.
Twine
Doily: Wilton

"Let it Snow" layout

It's Katrina here to share a layout that is made completely from scraps of collections that I had laying around.  Well, minus the cardstock!  Creating a die cut background and backing the openings with pattern paper is a great way to use up those little scraps of paper that you have left over from previous layouts.

You can also create title for your pages out of your scraps by using a die cutting machine.  Here I used a Silhouette, but any electronic or manual die cutter can create a fun title for your page.

I used left over bits and pieces from the embellishments on my page also.  Clustering your embellishments not only help you use them up, but also create a fun accent on your project.

Thanks for stopping by the Imaginisce blog today!  If you create something out of scraps be sure to leave a comment or link it up on the Imaginisce Facebook page.

Supply List:
Imaginisce: Pattern Papers (Colors of Christmas, Bushel O'Fall), Die Cuts (Colors of Christmas)
American Crafts: Cardstock

Scraps - Day 2

We're back today with more inspiration on how to use up those scraps!!

Today we have designers Michelle & Angi sharing their work.

Cards

* woop woop * it’s my first real project up as an Imaginisce designer.  So excited to be here with you today and sharing a lil’ project made with scraps.
I had a couple sheets of patterned paper that I had already worked with on a project that you will see later on, along with some American Crafts cardstock pieces, and some HAPPY diecuts from that same cardstock, so I decided to make some mini happy-new-baby cards.

These cards are about 3.5x5.5, so a little odd size.  But that’s OK, right?

I adhered a block of patterned paper for my base, added a panel to the side which included that bottom patterned strip that comes on 12x12 patterned paper sheets, adhered my HAPPY, did a little faux stitching with a gel pen, added a cute lil’ cardstock shape diecut, and then finished it off with some staples.  A couple of baby cards done and in the stash just waiting for folks to have babies this year!

Supplies:  My Baby (Sweet Baby Girl & Sweet Baby Boy) patterned paper by Imaginisce; Die-cut cardstock shapes by Imaginisce; cardstock by American Crafts; die; Big Shot die-cutting machine; Uniball Signo gel pen; Tim Holtz tiny attacher; adhesive; dimensional adhesive.

"Smile"

I never want to get rid of my Imaginisce scraps. The paper is too bright and happy to just toss away. I've been busy stocking up on handmade gifts that I've made for my fellow teachers.

I found this mini chalkboard at my local craft store. I began to dress it up by placing paper around the frame. I then ran some scraps through my die-cutter and made a flower. I layered pieces and added it to the bottom of the frame. I also added an Imaginisce sticker to the top of the board.

This gift would not be complete without a handmade card. I combined both Imaginisce and American Crafts products for this happy design.

Supply List
Imaginisce: patterned papers (Endless Summer, Falling Leaves Bushel O' Fall)
Imaginisce: Just Be Little Icons
Imaginisce: Colors of Christmas Bling
American Crafts
