A Little of This, A Lot of That!

Only a few more days left to 2015!! Wow!!
We hope that you have had a blessed year and can celebrate it with your family & friends.

The layout below captures DT member, Suzanna Lee's,  family New Year's traditions.

At Little of This, A Lot of That!

Hi Imaginisce fans! This is Suzanna popping in one last time before handing the Imaginisce baton over to a fresh, new designer for Imaginisce! I have an 8.5x11 layout to share about our traditional New Years Eve celebrations, kid style! I mixed and matched various collections to create this layout. A little new, a lot of old. A little red, a lot of black. Are you sensing a theme?

Every year we take the kids and a friend or two to the local bowling alley where they host two New Years parties; one from 5 to 8 with a count down to 7pm (corresponding with midnight in London) and another later that night for the older bowlers who are still awake at midnight. We go to the first party and have done so for the 8 years that we have been here in Richmond. I think all but one year. We followed our 2014 bowling celebration with chocolate fondue at home! That is the second picture, our wrap up to 2014!

In the above picture, you will see come of my "little of this, a lot of that" in closer detail. I misted the wood veneer heart from the Happy Traveler collection so that it coordinated with the colors I used for the layout. Some epoxy dots added a festive feel to the layout.

The Black Ice collection has been a staple in my Imaginisce collection, often adding that grounding black or white (or black and white) that I want to off set the plethora of colors that can always be found in Imaginisce's collections. I have used up or gotten rid of many of the older collections over the years (alas, I just can't keep it all) but the Black Ice collection has remained an old faithful, go to for me. Have you noticed that?

I have had a great few years with Imaginisce and really enjoyed designing with the collections released over the years. The time has come for me to move on however. You can always find my work on my blog, IG or my scrappy FB page. I do hope you will pop in and visit me some time! In the mean time, Happy New Year to you and yours! Thanks Imaginisce for another great year and thank you Imaginisce fans for stopping in to visit!

Festive Cards

Wrapping up this festive week of card inspiration is design team member Suzanna.
Check out these beautiful creations!

Mixing it Up Old and New

Hi there Imaginisce fans! Suzanna here today to share with you two holiday cards that I created mixing up the newer Happy Traveler collection some older goodies in my Imaginisce stash! As Imaginisce didn't release a Christmas line this year, I had to go back to Colors of Christmas and use two of the stamps as my main inspiration for these cards.

This first card was constructed around the holly stamp and you see in both corners of the card. I clear heat embossed the imagines and then used watercolors to color the images. It's the one time that painting outside the lines is acceptable in my Type A world! LOL!

The background behind the watercolor paper is from Happy Traveler for a nice pop of color. The card still needed a little something so I added some Hot Rocks with my iRock.

This next card has the snowflake stamps as the foundation. I shadow stamped them with grey as my base layer and embossed red just off set. I like the effect this created. The stamped images are on a Happy Traveler journaling spot! That same spot is backed with a die cut image that was cut using my Silhouette Cameo. The card base is also from Happy Traveler. I used the colors from the "B" side papers and was thrilled with the way the whole thing turned out!

The letters for "snow" go pretty deep into my stash and come from the Outdoor Adventure collection. They matched perfectly with the blue background and the darker shade stood out nicely against the red of the snowflakes.

Again, my iRock comes to the rescue for a little bling!

Have you begun your Christmas card making yet? These two cards kick of my card making for the season and I can't wait to create some more!

Thanks for popping in today!

Fall Days

Thanksgiving is a few days aways and this week our DT will be sharing a few more amazing creations with you.  Today we have this incredible layout by DT member Suzanna.

Fall Days with Imaginisce

Hi there Imaginisce fans! Suzanna popping in today to share with you a fall themed layout which I created using the Give Thanks collection.

There are so many fun embellisments that are a part of this collection!! This layout has die cuts, puffy stickers, enamel dots, wood buttons and word stickers on it. Embellisments are a great way to support a theme or build a scene on your crafting projects.

When I'm creating layouts and have extras, such as the leaves in the top right of the picture, I always save the extras with the collection. And look how handy that came in! They work just perfectly with this layout as well!

Thanksgiving is not just about the turkey but the people with whom you celebrate and thankfulness, gratitude. This layout celebrates my family and these 3 people for whom I am SO thankful. Every Thanksgiving we celebrate one another and how grateful we are to be together, for our health and happiness.

Thanks for stopping in today! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

Thanksful

Suzanna Lee

Thankful Brown Bag Gifts
Hi there Imaginisce fans!

Suzanna here today to share with you a gift for giving during this upcoming holiday of Gratitude, Thanksgiving. There are many people in my life for whom I am grateful and I would love to share this small token of appreciation for their supportiveness and friendship. These brown bags will be the decorative packaging for a few baked treats. I haven't decided exactly what but I think   Pumpkin Magic Bars that I found on Pinterest will be fantastic!

My Silhouette Cameo and a Miss Kate's Cuttable's cut file came in super hand to cut the leaves and their stems. The B sides of the Happy Harvest collection "leaf" me super happy for my generic fall color needs.

The tag was cut using a die, though easy to do with your scissors or trimmer. I love the Fall Phrases stickers that come with this collection and as there are 3 of each phrase, you've got plenty to last for many a project!

I used my Imaginisce iPunch hole tool to cut the holes in the tag and the hole reinforcer which I added for some more color and pizzaz.

I can't wait for Thanksgiving and to give my friends this little token of gratitude!

Halloween Treat Bags

Finishing up our Halloween themed week are these fun little treat bags created by design team member Suzanna.

We hope you have a fun sugar filled Halloween!!!

Halloween Treat Bags

Hi there Imaginisce fans! Suzanna popping in today to share some Halloween treat bags that I created using my Imaginisce stash. Did you see THIS (http://imaginisceblog.blogspot.com/2015/10/spooky.html) layout I shared the other week? Well, while I was creating that layout, I used some of the same great collections to create these treat bags.

Everything was cut using my Silhouette Cameo and various cut files which I down loaded from the Silhouette store. I really liked the treat bag but wanted a "foundation" for them to sit in and create a base for them to sit in. I'm sure there is a way to delete just parts of a file but in the name of simplicity, I pushed the file off the edge of the mat for the straight edge and removed the score lines. Doing so enabled me to have a rectangular "base" but it needed scoring for easy folding. Simple, I pulled out my Imaginsce Score and Pierce tool along with a straight edge and scored my own lines!

That made for easy folding of the treat box "base"!

Then all I had to do was adhere the various decorations onto the treat boxes.

Each is slightly different for a little variety.

I hope my kids enjoy receiving these little treats as much as I enjoyed making them! Quick work with the 'B' side papers from the various collections and an electronic cutting machine!

I hope your Halloween is full of delicious toxic treats!

Spooky

Our Design Team have some more amazing Halloween themed projects to share with you this week.
Starting off the week is DT member Suzanna with this spooky layout!!

Spooky With Imaginisce

Boo! Did I scare you?! So this year Imaginisce didn't release a Halloween collection but that doesn't mean you can't still scrap Halloween using Imaginsice goodies! Check out how I mixed a little of this, with some of that and some new goodies to create this spooky layout!

That bulk of the black product came from the Black Ice collection and created great contrast to my Halloween colors. The Invitations from this collection made a great place to journal.

I layered embellishments for some additional color on the bottom of my journal spot. The colored foam tape from Imaginisce was sublime for "camouflaging" the raised layer. I just love being able to have some depth to my embellishment clusters but not having the height stick out like a sore thumb due to white foam dots. Especially on the black background!

This is what that same cluster looks like form above;

I love the Silhouette cut background with the bats peeking through the vertical side strip! Just a hint of purple beside it for the color contrast and pop!

Are you ready for Halloween? We have picked pumpkins and they are ready to carve! My favorite part of the festivities, the carving!

Thanksgiving Silverware Holders

Do you like making decor for the changing seasons and dinner parties?  Well check out these fabulous little holders that would be perfect for Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving Silverware Holders

Hey there Imaginisce fans! Suzanna here today to share with you some silverware holders that I created for our Thanksgiving table. I know we haven't had Halloween yet, and trust me, I'm in no rush to pass that one by, it's one of my favorite holiday's! With this new fall collection, I really wanted to show you a handy decor project.

I used my Silhouette to cut out the silverware holders and the bracket "labels" using the patterned papers from the new "Give Thanks" collection. It was so easy to do as the papers all coordinate, no matter what combination you go with.

A fancy, brush script was desired for our names and as I am still working on that skill (or lack there of) I decided to print the labels instead of hand write. It was easy to feed the pre-cut papers through the printer.

A little twine and some puffy stickers finished things off nicely! Very simple yet so effective for some quick yet elegant table decor for the uncoming Thanksgiving holiday!

Happy Travelers

We're wrapping up this week with this fun layout by DT member Suzanna. Love the combination of papers she's used here.

Happy Travelers and then some!

Hey there Imaginisce fans! Suzanna popping in today to share with you a travel based layout. Sort of. Maybe a foodie travel layout? I'll let you be the judge as I'm really not sure!

At first glance, the colors are rather Mickey Mouse/Disney, but don't be fooled by that! (I wish!) And don't let the "Say cheese!" card fool you either. I promise, it's not Disney. But rather, Jimmy John's! We were heading home from our summer vacation and made a small detour for Jimmy John's for lunch. Subway is so much easier to reach from the road but we have collectively had our fill of those. We aren't McDonald's people and Chick-FilA is getting old too. This was the road way "need to get lunch" compromise.

I'm not really sure why I went with this color scheme. I started with the "say cheese" card and things just fell together from there. Despite having thousands and thousands of sheets of patterned paper, I am still reluctant to cut into a fresh piece. I'm happy to use the left overs from previous projects but cutting into a brand, new, untouched piece?! Nope, it's tough. I had red, yellow and blacks cut into so that's where I went! Silly, I know.

I used a few bits and pieces from the Family Fun collection - it's my fall back for colored basics from Imaginisce. I used the token stamp behind the "we" part of the title, the love word from the patterned paper selvage, epoxy dots and the letter stickers. Otherwise, everything else is Happy Traveler. LOVE, love, love the bright colors of this new collection!

Hello Fall

Our Design Team is excited to be sharing some more projects using our Give Thanks collection.

Plus don't forget about the Giveaway - see all the details HERE.

Hello Fall with Give Thanks

Okay, so I know you have heard me say that "this is my favorite collection" before but I TRULY mean it with this one!! I love fall and the little critters and colors of this collection just reflect all the goodness Autumn has to offer! This is such a great collection, you will NEED to add this to your stash!

The jumping off point for this layout was the bow of leaves that I cut using my Silhouette. I knew I wanted that to use these prominently on the layout. I also wanted shade of green so had to pull in a piece of the brighter green from another collection.

From there the layout just came together as I created a fall scene around the pictures. The journal card with the tree and bird were just the thing to get that going! Pop dot another tree for a little dimension and "throw" some mist for the swirling wind.

Puffy stickers!! I love that Imaginisce has added these to the arsenal of goodies included with the collections lately. And those wood buttons for a fall collection?! Yes please!! You know they are perfect!

Thanks for stopping in today! I hope you are as inspired by this collection as I am!

Hot! with Imaginisce

How perfect is this patterned paper for these incredible photos of a hot air balloon extravaganza!!

HOT! with Imaginisce

Hey there Imaginisce fans! It's that time again and Imaginisce has released a couple of new collections! The first one we are sharing with you, Happy Traveler, is sure to knock your socks off if you are into bright colors as I am!

I had to travel a ways back for these pictures as hot air balloons aren't a common occurrence for us. They are so beautiful to watch, especially at dusk! I made a collage of my pictures that float in the evening sky of my layout. A few fussy cut hot air balloons floating around the page add to the light and fun feeling.

I just love the glow effect created by layering the yellow patterned paper with red cardstock! It matches the title topic perfectly. I brought in letters from Family Fun to compliment the collection as there aren't letter stickers this time around.

There may not be letter stickers but there are puffy stickers and wood veneer instead! I just love the new additions that Imaginisce has added to this collection!

What do you think of this new collection? Pretty awesome, right? Makes you want to break out your suitcase and travel somewhere!

Happy Travelers layout

We've got one more product to share with you from our Happy Traveler collection ...

The SNAG 'EM STAMPS.  These little gems are such a great deal and are oh-so cute!!

Balloon

Plane

Scooter

Camera

These stamps are so easy to use and create a fabulous image.
Check out how Suzanna has used them on her layout.

Happy Travelers!

Hi there Imaginisce fans! Suzanna here today to share with you a layout I created using the latest (and greatest) Imaginisce collection, Happy Traveler. This is another one of those collections that if the theme isn't up your alley, no worries, the 'B' sides are fantastic! We happen to travel a lot, it might not be glamorous travel with passports and airline travel involved but we do go on many a road trip. So from that perspective, paired with the bright colors, this collection was made for me!

In addition to all the incredibly versatile patterned papers, you can use the stamps to create your own background as I did here. I inked the camera stamp and went to town varying the angles that the camera is stamped. My original intent had been to color in bits and pieces of the cameras but the contrast of the black and white against all the vibrant colors worked much better.

Again, taking advantage of contrast to pop things, I used a Miss Kate Cuttables cut file for my title, using the black to pop the blue locator paper against the stamped background.

The "You are Here" journal card actually contains journaling. Those of you who know me know I don't like how visually distracting journaling can be so I often hide my journaling. The puffy stickers that are part of this collection are fantastic!! I love that Imaginisce has added puffy stickers and wood veneers to there collections!

This is definitely a collection to add to your stash!
