Hello Summer

It may be raining here right now but summer is definitely here. Check out this stunning layout by Katie - she captures so many fun events onto one page!!

Katie Rose

Hi everyone! Katie here today sharing a summer layout with you all! Of course I used the Sunny collection for this layout...the perfect papers and embellishments for summer! For this layout I chose to document several photos from our 2008 summer, a sort of overview of the summer. Here is a look at what I came up with:

I really wanted to use a lot of the different patterned papers from this collection. I decided to cut strips and place them diagonally across the top third of the layout. I then printed out two rows of photos and placed them in the middle third of the layout. And lastly, I used the bottom third for my title and journaling.

The layout is actually quite simple to make but really has a big, bold impact with the great colors and patterns from the Sunny Collection!

Happy Father's Day

We've got another week filled with some great Father's Day ideas and ways to celebrate Dads!

Katie Rose

Hi everyone! Katie here today sharing a layout celebrating Father's Day!

I dug deep into my photo archives for these photos of my husband and our boys on Father's Day 2008. I created a simple layout for these photos to shine. I used a grid design with four rectangles...two for the photos and two for journaling cards/embellishments. Here is a look at the layout:

I choose some masculine and fun papers for this layout. I love the dark blue anchor paper from the Parrty Me Hearty collection and paired it with the yellow striped and red dot from the Sunny collection. I cut two journaling cards from the patterned paper in Sunny and placed them on the grid and embellished them with arrows also cut from the patterned paper. The arrows point to the photos to draw your eye to them.

I

I added a couple other strips of patterned paper to accent the page and a simple line of handwritten journaling on the bottom.

Miami Beach 2016

We hope that you have all been enjoying the long weekend celebrating Memorial Day!  To start this week off we have the talented Katie sharing this fabulous scrapbook layout with us.

Katie Rose

Hi everybody! Katie here today sharing a layout using the Sunny collection! The weather has been so nice lately up here in my neck of the woods in New Hampshire and it has me longing for summer! So I am getting my fix in by reminiscing about our recent vacation. I made this page about our day at Miami Beach. The Sunny collection was the perfect fit for it! I think New England beaches and Florida beaches are two different vibes. I recently created a layout about the New England coast using Sunny and now I am documenting Miami with it! The collection is so versatile and has pieces that coordinate with either of these beach settings. Here is the layout I made...

I choose a grid design using 3x4 photos and the journaling cards cut from the Sunny patterned paper. I backed each of the journaling cards with patterned paper just to make them pop a little more since a couple of the would have been white on white without it. The one with the lines was perfect to hold my journaling.

On the card with the camera I added the "surfs up" transparent die cut backed with white cardstock. I put that over the word "summer" that is on that card because these pictures are not from the summer. I like that it adds dimension to the card as well.

I liked that so much that I added a die cut to the other two journaling cards as well.

I cut down the white card stock background to 11"x11" and put it on the yellow shell patterned paper. To finish it off I added my title and a strip of patterned paper to the bottom and a few phrase stickers atop each photo.

Memorial Day BBQ

Memorial Day is coming up so we asked out Design Team to create projects around this theme.
So to start us off we have Katie sharing this wonderful layout!

Katie Rose

Hi everyone! Katie here today sharing a layout about Memorial Day using the Sunny Collection. I was totally inspired by the watermelon patterned paper to create a layout about a Memorial Day BBQ we had a few years ago. I printed several photos from the afternoon and paired them with large letters I cut from my Silhouette Cameo for my title. I put the title on the top half of the layout and the photos on the bottom half to balance things out. Here is a look at the layout:

I cut the other words of my title smaller and in a different font and placed them across the large letters and stitched across.

I added two strips of patterned paper across the bottom to add a little more color. I also added diecuts to the top and bottom of the layout.

I added just a little bit of journaling near the title with the date to finish it  off.

The Sunny collection is perfect to document your summer BBQ's, parties and picnics!

Mother's Day

Wrapping up our Mother's Day themed week is DT member Katie.  We just adore her layout!

Katie Rose

Hi Everyone! Katie here today sharing a Mother's Day layout using the Sunny collection! The colors in this collection were just perfect for these photos we took last Mother's Day. We visited a Lighthouse that I have wanted to go to for quite some time so I took advantage of Mother's Day to get some photos of my kids with the beautiful backdrop. Here is a look at the full layout...

I used two 4x6 photos for this layout and chose one with just the lighthouse on top and one that included my kids and I on the bottom and placed them in the center of my layout. I chose the red patterned paper with the white polka dots as the main pattern paper because the red matched perfectly with the roof of the buildings. I then picked a couple of accent papers to add some more fun color. I stitched around my photos for some added texture.

I then added a few of the adorable diecuts around my photos. The sun is my favorite from the whole pack! The crab and shell added a nice New England shore feel.

For my title I used the letter Stickers from the Sunny Collection, using different colors for different words. I think this adds a whimsical feel.

To finish the layout off I added my journaling on the opposite side of the layout from my title to create balance. I am very pleased with the final results. The Sunny Collection the perfect to document this special day!

Pocket Style Pages with Sunny!

We know that many of you do pocket style scrapbooking and we are just thrilled that design team member Katie Rose creates this way as well.  She just knows exactly how to capture and showcase all of her wonderful photos and tell the story so perfectly!

Hi everyone! Katie here today sharing a pocket page spread using the new Sunny collection! I still have a few weeks to fill in from my 2014 album from the summer so I thought this collection would be perfect for getting one of those done! Here is a look at the whole spread:

I documented a mixture of things from this summer week...a family outing, a hike, some quiet time, and some fun in the pool! I used lots of the patterned paper from the Sunny collection, cutting out the journaling cards and slipping them right in the pockets.

I also cut lots of strips of the patterned paper to use on blank grid journaling cards.

I added some of the die cuts and stickers to finish it off...a super easy and fun way to get a pocket page spread done!

Carnival Cruise 2016

We've got another amazing week of inspiration from our talented Design Team members. DT member Kate uses our Sunny collection and we just love her clean design!

Hi everyone! Katie here today sharing my most recent layout using the new Sunny collection! This collection is perfect for documenting our cruise vacation! I knew I wanted to use a lot of photos on this layout so I went with a modified grid design using smaller sized photos. Here is how the layout came out:

I knew I wanted to add some of the diecuts from the Sunny collection in my my grid so I sized my photos to be about the size of some of the diecuts. I then arranged them in 3 rows. I also had quite a bit of journaling to add so I decided to put it in between two rows so it would be in my grid design.

To finish it off I added a couple of strips of the adorable patterned paper to the top and bottom of the layout and stitched around the entire border. I created the title using the letter stickers from the Sunny Collection, making each word a different color.

I hope I inspired you to use the Sunny collection on your next vacation layout!

Hello Sunshine!

Spring is in the air  (well at least for some of us it is - sorry to those of you that are still getting snow!!) and our DT is excited to share some spring themed projects with you this week.

Hi everyone! Katie here today sharing a Spring layout! I'm sure I am not the only one who is so glad for Spring's arrival. Winters are long here in New England so we really look forward to the days when we can hang out outside without all that winter gear on! This layout is documenting one of my daughter's favorite springtime activities...sidewalk chalk! I used the new Sunny collection which, with its bright and cheery colors, was perfect for this layout. Here is a look at the full layout:

I cut down a piece of white cardstock to 11"x11" and adhered it to a piece of patterned paper to give the layout a patterned border. I then cut the patterned paper with the suns on it to a triangle and put it in the top corner of the layout. To me this gives it the feel of the sun in the sky. I placed my 3 photos in the center of the layout, slightly overlapping them all. I placed some the diceut embellishments around my photos, using the "hello sunshine" as my title.

I added a few strips of patterned paper on the bottom of my layout, under my journaling to anchor the layout, so my photos didn't appear to be floating on the layout. I used the arrow diecut to draw the eye to my focal point photo of the box of chalk.

I can't wait for more sidewalk chalk days in the coming weeks!

Shamrock Shakes

We love this fun & unique design and how Katie used papers & products from our recent releases.

Hi everyone! Katie here today sharing a layout about our favorite St. Patrick's day tradition...Shamrock Shakes! I am personally not a fan of these but my kids love them so it is there special treat on St. Patrick's day every year!

For this layout I gathered a few different patterned papers in shades of green. I also added a many different colored polka dot patterned paper for some pop of color. I then punched several circles from each of the patterned papers and cut them in half. I placed the half circles in diagonal rows across the cardstock to make a scallop pattern. I added some stitching  along each row for some added texture. Before I stitched I placed a few of the new little phrase stickers in green from the Sunny collection along each row.

I cut a few four leaf clover shapes out of cardstock using my Silhouette and I also cute a few of the cute cameras from the patterned paper in the Sunny collection and placed them together around my photos.

To finish it off I added my title using gold thickers and a small typed journaling strip.

How do you celebrate St. Patrick's Day?

My Crafty Little Pirate

As we mentioned earlier this week our design team were challenged to create a project with the theme of CRAFTS because as some of you may already know the month of March is Craft Month!!

Some DT members have created actual crafts and others have created a project about a craft.  Either way we hope that you're inspired by their use of our Parrrty Me Hearty collection.

Hi everyone! Katie here today sharing a layout made with the Parrrty Me Hearty collection. How lucky am I to have these adorable photos of my little pirate crafting! Hard to believe this was eleven years ago. Sadly I think my son's crafting days are over so I am so glad I have this memory captured and preserved. And this is the perfect coleection to do that with! Here is a look at the full layout:

I had three horizontal photos so I decided to make a small grid with them leaving the fourth spot in the grid for embellishments. I added a few strips of patterned paper on the left side of the page to ground everything on the page so my grid would not just be floating on the white cardstock.

Before I adhered anything on the page I typed up my journaling and printed in on the cardstock background. I made my title with the coordinating thickers from the Parrrty Me Hearty collection and it fit perfectly above my journaling. I cut a journaling card from the patterned paper to use on my grid and added a stamp and diecuts to it. I added a few other pirate embellishments on the layout to finish it off.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today!

Make a Splash

We love the clean and stylish look of Katie's design for this layout! Plus check out the journaling on her layout - this is what RAK is all about!!!

Hi everyone! Katie here today sharing a layout inspired by a random act of kindness! For my daughter 7th birthday she came up with the idea to have her party guests bring donations for a local homeless shelter. She came up with this idea all on her own and it was so unlike her! I was super proud of her and wanted to make a layout documenting this story. The Parrrty Me Hearty collection worked perfectly! Take a look at my layout and you can see why:

I used that adorable mermaid tail stamp with the "make a splash" message as part of my title. I thought this was the perfect sentiment for her act of kindness! And since it was also her birthday the birthday themed sentiments on the embellishments also worked well with this layout!

I printed out my typed journaling on white cardstock a bit smaller than my background patterned paper. And then I worked the rest of the layout around it. I used one of the diecut journaling cards to stamp the date on. I then added a couple of the adorable mermaid diecuts. I used some foam adhesives to give them some dimension.

Oh and I almost forgot...the "O-Fish-Ally Awesome"  tag that is on the photo is also from the patterned paper. My daughter's name is Ally so this was perfect!

I just love how this all came together and that I was able to document this special story for my daughter with this adorable collection.

Love You

With Valentine's Day just a week away we asked out DT to create some fun love themed projects.

Hi everyone! Katie here today to share a Valentine/Love inspired layout! Hearts are one of my favorite things to use on my layouts. I find them so versatile...they work with girls and boys, relationships, or anything else that you love! This includes just about everything that I scrapbook so I use them often.

For today's layout I chose to make a layout with photos of my husband and I. The photos are from Formal Night on a cruise that we took about a year ago. We don't dress up very often so I definitely wanted to document it! Here is a look at the layout:

As you can see I chose to feature hearts on this layout. I used two different sized heart punches and punched several hearts from patterned paper, using only pinks and reds.
Most of the hearts are the larger size but I did add some smaller hearts on top of a few of the big ones to add some extra texture. I then stitched across all three rows. To separate the top and bottom of the layout I added a thin strip of black and white striped patterned paper and stitched across that as well. I added a couple of tags and diecuts to finish the top off.

I used American Crafts phrase stickers for my title and to add another touch of black to the layout. I added two more black hearts to the top to balance that out.

I am loving the final outcome of this layout with the texture of the hearts and the pops of black.

I hope I have inspired you to create a layout about something or someone that you love!

Two Cute Pirates

We are super excited to see what our new 2016 Design Team create this coming year.  Today we are thrilled to have designer, Katie Rose sharing her first project here on the Imaginisce blog.

Hi everyone! Katie here today and I am so excited to share my first layout for Imaginisce! I used the new Party Me Hearty collection for this layout. As soon as I saw this collection I thought of these photos of my boys when they were little (they are now 14 and 17!). I knew I wanted to use several pieces of the cute patterned paper. I decided to cut a grid pattern using my Silhouette with white card stock to make a background with lots of squares of the patterned paper. Here is how it came out:

After I cut and adhered my background I added some stitching to add texture to the layout. Then the fun of placing the embellishments came next! I decided to add some words using the white chipboard letters in a few of the squares.

I then added a few of the adorable diecuts to finish it off.

Can't wait to see what you all create with this fun collection!
