Celebrating the 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July!!!!
We hope you have a fun & safe holiday!

Today we wrap up our Independence Day/July 4th themed inspiration with this fun & colourful layout by Suzanna! Lots of fun details on here!

"Just Celebrate"

We're going old school this 4th of July! And way I say old school, I mean, OLD school. The base paper is from the 2009 Twitterpated collection! Any of you die hard Imaginisce fans out there remember that collection?! I loved the glossy shine that some of the papers had back then. I mixed and matched some old with some new for this layout. Do you recognize any of the older goodies?

The metal sticker from the Cottage Christmas collection is just perfect for Independence Day festivities and celebrations as it mimics a fireworks burst.

And what would the 4th be without a little added bling? The iRock and HotRocks are just the finishing touch for this layout!

We've got a fabulous layout to share with you today and Kelly did an amazing job of incorporating the i-rock tool on her layout!!

"Sparkler Fun"

This red, blue and aqua combo from the Perfect Vacation collection was perfect for an Independence Day theme. I used several star shaped punches to give my layout the proper 4th of July feel, and finished the look with the i-Rock tool to make some 'fireworks'.

Home of the Free

Welcome to another week of Independence Day themed projects! Our design team have been busy creating and you will find a great deal of inspiration from their creations.

Up today we have Guiseppa sharing this beautiful subway art frame.

Subway Art

When it comes to getting crafty with paper...I am usually into creating layouts, but this time I wanted to try something a little different.  I really don't have much in the way of home decor for the month of July (I am lucky if I regular home decor in my house), so I decided to make some Subway Art.

I cut out my saying using my Silhouette Cameo and simply adhered patterned paper to the back.  For the "FREE" part of the Subway Art, I added some Mod Podge to my letters and sprinkled glitter on them and popped the letters up using foam adhesive.  I then put it into a 8 x 8 inch shadow box.  I think it turned out pretty darn good.  Now to find a spot for it...that shouldn't be too hard:)

Imaginisce Patterned Paper (Perfect Vacation)
American Crafts (cardstock and foam dots)

Home Decor for the 4th of July

Many of us like to decorate for various holiday throughout the year.  Becki has created these stunning frames that are just perfect for the 4th of july.

4th of July Home Decor
I wanted to create a 4th of July project that was simple and that had some dimension. I didn't want something that would fit under a piece of glass. This project is so simple that all you'll need is patterned paper, cardstock, a die cut machine, and some adhesive. (You can use glitter paper too but you don't have to.)

All you have to do is cut the pieces out with your die cut machine and adhere them all together in the frame. Under the USA die cut I used several layers of cardstock to make it stand out a bit.

Happy 4th of July

We're continuing our weeklong Independence Day/4th of July theme .
Check out this fantastic project!

USA Lantern

The 4th of July is a great day to put out some fun decor and Imaginisce has some papers in the Perfect Vacation line that work just great for creating those projects!  Today I have a patriotic lantern to share with you.

I used a cut file to create this lantern that you can add a little electric tea light to for the evening hours.  Because the file comes with stars think of all the possibilities you could create with it!  You could do a baby shower decoration or a Christmas decoration all by using different lines from Imaginisce!

I cut the base in a dark blue patterned paper and then did the stars in some red paper.  I decided to just do USA in plain white so it wouldn't get lost in the patterns.  Some Red Irocks were the perfect embellishment.

To add some embellishing to the lantern I created a couple of Brads using my ITop and the same red patterned paper I had used earlier.  Not too overwhelming but adds some nice dimension and makes my embellishments one of a kind!

Supplies Used:
Imaginisce: Patterned Paper (Perfect Vacation), Itop, Irock
American Crafts: Cardstock

Independence Week!

Independence Day, also known as the 4th of July, is a day that the US celebrates their independence from Great Britain. It's also a day when there's lots of fireworks, barbecues, picnics, carnivals, parades, etc.

So we asked our design team to join in on the celebration of this memorable & national holiday. We wanted to give you a head start on your creations for this big celebration.

Today to start us off we have DT member Marcia sharing these incredible firecrackers!! How fun!!

'Firecrackers Table Decor'
Are the kids already getting bored on summer vacation? I think this craft project is something they would love to do. I upcycled some toilet paper rolls and paper towel rolls to create a Firecracker Table Decor piece. Simply wrap pattern paper around the tubes, tie the firecrackers together with some twine, and decorate. I used papers from the Perfect Vacation collection and the Love You More collection.

4th of July Inspiration

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!!!
Let the celebration being!!

We have another day of beautiful projects to share with you. You will definitely be inspired!

"America"

Share your excitement for the 4th of July by whipping up a few fun cards and invites for friends and family. This card was easily pieced together from digital cut files and then adorned with bling for added shimmer using the i-rock and gems.

Firework Centerpiece

Every year we host a family 4th of July BBQ.  It is fairly large and we have several tables and I like to make festive centerpieces. I always like to decorate them with something that I made.  When I saw this 3D cut file in the Silhoeutte store I just knew it would be so awesome teamed up with the amazing papers from Imaginisce.  This little firework will be perfect as my centerpiece for the drink station!

4th of July Inspiration

We've got another day of fabulous idea to help you celebrate the 4th of July.

We are back today with some more 4th of July Inspiration.
We hope that you enjoyed the projects you've seen so far.

It's always fun to look online because you can find so much inspiration everywhere!
Here's some more great party ideas we found online.

Here's what some of our designers created for this big celebration.

"Cupcakes"

Creating this layout was a cinch for me because my layouts tend to use a lot of red, white and blue anyway! Just as you read last week that watermelons and party's go hand in hand for me,July 4th, or Independence Day, and fireworks go together. Independence Day just isn't complete without fireworks. And layout fireworks aren't complete without iRocks!

Supplies
Imaginisce - Letter Sticker: Childhood Memories; Patterned Paper: Love You More, Good Dog, Childhood Memories; Sticker: Good Dog; iRocks, iTop

"Pool Party"

Independence Day is always a fun celebration time for my family.  Every year we are either at the beach or in the pool all day, barbecuing and then heading down to the beach after dark to watch the fireworks go off at the end of the pier.  It's really fun and can't wait to do it again this year!  Last year we were in the pool and here is a great photo of my husband and kiddos having a blast!

For the layout I wanted to focus on the traditional Independence day colors, Red, White & Blue.  I accented that with fun patterned paper from the Endless Summer collection that went with the pool theme of the photo.  For the embellishments, I altered one of the journaling stickers by adding the blue card stock to make a great background for the "July 4th" title and matted "Pool Party" in the same  blue card stock.  I also hand cut my own splash shapes from the card stock and added that beautiful sparkle with Stickles.  I popped the splashes of the page with foam tape.  Makes it look as though the water is splashing right off the page.  So fun!

Hope everyone has a happy & safe holiday!

Supplies:  Endless Summer Collection, Childhood Memories Collection, White Cardstock, Blue Cardstock, Blue, Diamond and Red Stickles, Blue and White Ink, Foam tape, White Gel Pen.

"Land of the Free" Card

I love to make photo cards. They are like a little mini scrapbook page that you can share with friends and family. For the 4th of July, I had a great photo of my little guy with a waving flag and I thought it would be just the thing for a patriotic card. I kept things simple, letting the photo be the star of the show. With the alphabet stickers from the Outdoor Adventure collection, I spelled out half the sentiment. For the word 'Free,' I actually trimmed the word from one of the great patterned paper sheets from the Childhood Memories collection.

Supplies used:

4th of July Inspiration

In a few days we will be celebrating Independence Day and we wanted to share with you some great projects to celebrate this event.

Our designers came up with some fabulous projects to share with you over the next 3 days but we also found a few that caught our eye.  These are not scrapbooking or craft related either but are so fun for those big celebrations.

Ok, let's see what a few of our designers have to share with you today.

"Happy 4th"

When asked to make a project for the 4th of July, I thought, this will be fun. Imaginisce has so many Red and Blue pattern papers to choose from. I decided to make a step card and make it look like the American Flag. The silhouette children die cuts add a festive air.

Supplies:
Imaginisce: Endless Summer: Patterned Paper, Childhood Memories: Pattern Paper, foam adhesive in white;
Bazzill cardstock in white; Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalk ink in Baja Blue, and Midnight Confessions; Kaisercraft acrylic stamp; Martha Stewart punch all over the page Starry Skies; Cricut cartridge: A Child's Year; Cricut Expression.

Banner

It's time to kick of summer and what better way to do it with a little 4th of July gathering!  I love a reason to make a few party favors and banners are my favorite.

This banner is fun and easy to make!
1) I started with selection my paper colors  (red, white and blue) then cut 4 circles of the same size from 4 different papers.

2) Fold each circle in half and and hear 2 wrong sides together until you form a half circle.
3) Adhere them to your pennant and your done!
You can see I use 2 different size circles and pennants. I also alternated the colors of my circles.  This banners is great for any occasion!

Supplies:
Imaginisce: Childhood Memories, Love You More, Good Dog, Outdoor Adventure
