i-spy is back!

With all our new lines and product releases, we've been busy showing off the amazing work of our designers. But we've also noticed lots of fabulous Imaginisce projects popping up on blogs and online galleries over the past few weeks, so we thought we'd shine a bit of the spotlight on some talented designers that have caught our eye.

Who will it be? Let's see!

Diana Fisher used our Happy Harvest line to create this adorable layout. The buttons she added really bring those die-cuts to life!

The Live Loud line was a perfect choice for this layout from Beth Hallgren about her son teaching himself to play guitar. Her grid-based layout was inspired by Melinda's September sketch.

Brook Stewart got her hands on our new Geek Is Chic line and used it to create this adorable layout that lists all the books her son read.

Jana Eubank paired our Animal Crackers collection with the County Fair Cricut Cartridge to create this fun and colorful layout. Don't you love the i-Rock jewels added to the banner?

Nice work ladies!

If you would like to have your work spied then start posting it all over the web... the more places your post the more chance you have of being spied by our design team members. Next time it might be you! Good luck!

All about 3D

Hi everyone, today I get to host on the blog and I have dedicated my post to 3D projects...

You might think that Scrapbooking products are only to be used on flat image projects like layouts and cards, but that is why I wanted to show you...that they can be used for 3D projects too.

Some might think 3D projects are hard to do and time consuming, but with a little help with templates (some bought and others free on the internet), it becomes quite a fun thing to do, at least I know once I see the end result, that I really have achieved something great.

Below are a couple of projects I created using beautiful Imaginisce product, which is very versatile and be can used to make many kinds of project you dream of...

I created the Merry-Go-Round Carousel, which can be used as decorative pieces on a birthday table with a funfair theme, or they can used as place cards for each child, as the bottom base lifts open to reveal a box that can be filled with treats.

Template can be purchased here

I created this beautiful basket filled with strawberries, that can be filled with candy or chocolates and can be given as a gift to someone special.

Template for Strawberries can be purchased here and basket here

Here I created a 3D owl birthday card, holding a mini card in his beak, sitting on a branch with leaves, is he not the cutest little owl. It could also be used a place card for a party or thanksgiving dinner.

Here I created a beautiful little cupcake gift box to place a bracelet for a friend's birthday. It could also be used as a treat box filled with delicious candy.

So, there you have it, they may look hard to make, but the end result is so worth it. I really hope to see more of you trying them out.

Spring Mix

No, we're not talking about a mix of some of these.

But, a mix of some of these.

That's right, we challenged a couple of our designers to create a layout that mixes at least two of our Spring releases. And you are going to LOVE the results.

My Unhappy Prince Charming by Michelle Unruh

Here's what Michelle said about her scrapbook page:

This was a fun challenge. I decided to try and use the Enchanted line with a photo of my baby boy when he was a bitty baby. The little frog on his shirt made me want to use the Enchanted line. I actually managed to use something from all four lines I have. The brown dot and green polka dot paper are from Berrylicious. The green strip I punched was from Animal Crackers, with the rest from Enchanted. I even snuck a little Garden Party in, using the small brown flower and brad under my title. I used a fashion flower to anchor my frog at the bottom as well as some hot rocks sprinkled around my page. Even bitty Prince Charming needs a little bling! :) With all that is going on at my house lately, I don't have much time or mojo. More like the mojo is missing!! So, I used a sketch from Sassy Lil Sketches that gave me the inspiration I needed. Side note - I wish I could shrink him back to this size again!!! He was so fun (still is, but sassier! LOL) and so darn cute! I miss that baby smell!!! Dreft laundry soap mixed with Nivea lotion on a freshly bathed baby!!! Heaven!!!

Feeding Giraffes by Aphra Bolyer

And here's what Aphra had to say about her layout:

I love the themes and patterns of Imaginisce's papers and embellishments, but I also love the wonderful "B" sides. There you will usually find smaller more neutral patterns that can fit just about any theme. I decided to really take advantage of the back sides on this layout about my kids feeding giraffes while on vacation last summer. I loved how well my photos popped off the green backside of the Just Peachy paper (from the Berrylicious collection) and how the Summer Stripe paper (also from Berrylicious) tied all my colors together. The solid blue backside of Rows of Posies (Garden Party collection) was perfect for my clouds while the yellow backside of Cherry Lemonade made for a great sun. For close-ups and details about the Cricut cuts I used, please visit my blog My Scrappy Life.

Wasn't that fun? Ok, now we want to see you mix it up and flip it over. You might just surprise yourself. And be sure to show off your creations at our Facebook page. We'd sure love to see!
