Fall Cards

We're celebrating the first day of autumn with a set of truly lovely cards created by Becki Adams. These fantastic fall cards would no doubt cheer anyone's day.

Hello, Imaginisce friends! It's Becki Adams, here to share some Fall themed cards with you.

Fall is my favorite season and as things start to slow down I create Fall themed cards to put in the mail to make someone smile and have a little bit of happiness in their mail box.

I used older patterned paper from a Fall collection by Imaginisce and some buttons from the Perfect Vacation collection.

Thanks for visiting the Imaginisce Blog today!

Supplies: Imaginisce: patterned paper, button (Perfect Vacation);  American Crafts: kraft cardstock, ribbon

Handmade Fall Cards

We've had the most unusual weather in Utah. We've gone from one of the most cold and rainy August on record to an unnaturally warm September - it was 90 degrees the other day!

The weather may not be predictable, but we can always count on a little crafting to get us in the mood. Today Designer Monique Liedtke is sharing a duo of lovely fall cards...

Hello Imaginisce fans! It’s Monique, sharing two Fall cards featuring the fabulous “Bushel o’ Fall“ collection (can’t get enough of this collection!).

First of all the “Happy Fall” card. For this card I was looking for a bit of extra texture and decided to fill the shape of a die-cut (cardstock) apple with some green/white twine.

This sounds probably more difficult than it actually was: I cut the shape of an apple with my Silhouette, made the topside sticky with an adhesive runner and wound a long string of twine on top of this, starting at the edge and winding this inward to the centre of the apple. For the finishing touch I made a little brown/white twine bow around the twig at the top of the apple.

Then the “Autumn Blessings” card. For this card I stamped the pie Snag’ems Stamp on to a piece of white cardstock and colored the image with 3 different colors Copics.

Then I hand cut it and adhered it on top of the card (half over the “autumn blessings” die-cut”) and using my tiny attacher I adhered a little piece of brown/white twine to resemble steam coming from the warm pie.

For both cards I selected a lot of different patterned papers (5 for the Happy Fall card and 6 for the Autumn Blessings card) and just layered these on top of each other, also using an adhesive runner. Before adhering this pile to the white cardstock base I machine stitched them first. I love layering and machine stitching on my projects a lot!

Thanks for stopping by our blog today! Hope I’ve inspired you to scrap a little today!

Supplies: Imaginisce: patterned paper, die-cuts, bling, pie stamp (Bushel o’Fall); American Crafts: cardstock, adhesive runner.

So I challenge everyone to try coming up with their Holiday Cards early. Only six months before December 25th...and you'll thank me later!!

And don't forget about our July Sketch...it's a darling card sketch by Tammy Wark and would be super cute as a Christmas card. You have until July 25th to participate in the sketch challenge!!

Me & My Cricut with Apple Cider Collection

I've read a ton the past few days from our awesome fans and designers about how much you all LOVE the colors in this collection. I AGREE! The colors are prefect for my personal style, not just fall themed projects. And I normally don't have time to create samples to show on the blog, but when I received samples of the new Apple Cider Collection papers I could not resist pulling out one of my favorite Cricut Cartridges and started to play.

In fact, I don't know how to make just one card...so I made a bunch of each style of card just altering the bird colors.
I created these cards with the Home Decor & More Cricut Cartridge. I loved all the birds this cartridge has...in fact I stayed up one night until 3:45am just inking and piecing the birds together...no idea what I would end up making with them either.
Now you have to admit the wood grain paper that's on the backside of the Autumn Splendor paper is perfect for the branches on my card. Love it!!

Here's some more of my bird cards using the Apple Cider collection:

Guest Blog Post: Bday Bash Fun!!

Happy Friday!!
It's Erin Bassett at the helm today sharing some of the things I've made with the new awesome B-Day Bash collection and my i-rock.

First off is this layout I made with photos from my niece's birthday.

I just love how the Happy Birthday Banner Ribbon makes it look so festive! I've added some bling with my i-rock to both the banner and on the chipboard frame.

I also had fun making some cards! I love the way the first one explodes out of the envelope when it's opened up!!

And then when you open it up it has some fun inside too:

Here's a card I made with the cool sketch that Tammy Wark created. {Don't forget to enter the contest to win $75 worth of products...find more info here!}

And lastly, here's a fun little gift bag:

Have a fun and safe holiday weekend!
