Pick of the Patch

Perhaps some of you may still have some of our Bushel o' Fall collections or even some older fall themed products.  Lanette utilized our Bushel of Fall release in this striking & stylish layout.

"Pick of the Patch"

Hello All!
Lanette here to share a fun fall Layout using up a bit of scraps from my past collections.....Proof that you should never throw out your scraps :)

As you can see I didn't have any "special embellishments" left so I fussy cut my embellishments out of the paper that I had left. The deer, pumpkin, banner and even the bird all all fussy cut embellishments!

Just look how cute they turned out!

And with a splash of enamel dots a bit of twine and lots of stitching my fall layout fell together:)

So learn from me keep your scraps and dig in your bin often you never know what you might find!

Thank you for stopping by today!

The Taste of Fall

Design Team member Kelly created this layout using non-fall themed papers and isn't it fabulous?!
Look through your stash of non-traditional fall colours and papers and create a layout with them.  You'll love the unique and different twist to your fall page!

The Taste of Fall

I kept my fall layout pretty simple using mostly papers from the Perfect vacation collection with a little help from some green paper taken from the Little Princess collection.

I wanted a little variety in my cascading leaves, so I added a couple of die cut hearts. I used a paper piercer to add a little rib pattern to my big 'leaves', and just tucked them all together around my photo.

Supply List
Imaginisce: Perfect Vacation (Memories Captured, You Are Here, This Way, Die Cut Journal Tags); Little Princess (Secret Garden); i-Rock Tool & Rocks

American Crafts: Cardstock (White, Craft, Red, Brown, Grey); Baker's Twine; Border Punch System

Happy Fall Stroll

Check out the fabulous coloured patterned papers in this fall themed layout.  Katrina stepped out of the traditional fall colour scheme and chose some super fun patterns & colours for her layout.

Happy Fall Stroll

Fall, I LOVE fall!  Katrina on the blog today to share a non-traditional fall color layout.  I used a lot of pinks, blues and whites in this.  I mixed several collections together to get my layout.  I used several collections to make this layout.  Welcome Spring, Perfect Vacation, My Baby (Girl), Bushel O Fall and Little Princess.

I die cut several leaves from a file that had multiple leaves of different shapes.  I made some of them smaller and some larger.  I cut leaves out of six different papers.  If you don't have a way to die cut leaves, you could always trace them and hand cut.

I also cut an acorn out to accent a corner of the page where the leaves were coming out of.

I added a little detail to my photo by tying some jute twine around it.  It is just a little extra detail that doesn't take much effort, but draws your eye to the photo.

Then I just combined a bunch of fun elements to make my title area. I usually keep my journaling near my title, but it didn't work in this case.  So it's above my photo.

Thanks for stopping by the Imaginisce blog today.  Make a non-traditional colored layout, it might just become one of your favorites!

Fall Days

The leaves are changing colours and air is getting cooler. Fall is making it's way across the country and we've got some wonderful layouts to share with you this week that are all about the Fall season!

"Fall Days are Fun Days"

Just like a lot of the Imaginisce Design Team...I too am so in love with the Bushel O' Fall Collection, so this made my decision very easy when creating this layout.  Not only do I love this collection, but I am in love with this cute guy here.  Fall is one of the perfect times to do photo shoots and that's when we did this one.  There was no question that Bushel O' Fall was perfect for this layout.

For the title, I decided to use a full sheet of patterned paper and cut into it for the title.  I popped it up using foam adhesive and adhered cardstock to the back.

I cut out some cute Fall looking leaves and framed them around my pictures.

Cutting out a few of the cute images found on the Bushel O' Fall patterned papers, I adhered them on for added embellishments.  I also used some Bling and Wood Buttons from the Bushel O' Fall Collection.

Thanks for stopping in and I hope you have a wonderful time creating and scrapbooking those Fall memories!

Who doesn't love fall containers to store all those treats in?
Courtney has created this darling little owl container that would look perfect anywhere!

"Owl" Fall Treats container

Hi Imaginisce lovers!!! Court from Court’s Crafts here with a fall themed card project for you. Who doesn’t love owls? I saw this one and couldn’t help myself - he is cu-whooooo-te! :)

The popcorn bag was a fun touch… my only regret was not popping popcorn for this picture! I love popcorn. I had just eaten lunch when I took this photo and wasn’t hungry and couldn’t bear the thought of throwing it away. Okay, I may have a hoarding problem! haha.

Don’t you just want to hug that owl? Okay, maybe that’s just me. :)

Thanks for hanging out with me! I hope you have a whoooterific day!

Handmade Cards for Fall

We're having such fun sharing inspiration for fall cards this week. We hope you're enjoying all of the pretty images shared. Today we're showcasing a couple of handmade cards for fall created by Christine Meyer

Christine Meyer

The weather has turned more autumn like here in Illinois and I think that made it even easier to make some pretty fall cards to share with you today!

I created two different cards using lots of my electronic die cutting machine and patterned papers from Imaginisce.  I even snuck some stamping and I Rocks in there too!

I created this card by cutting out a birch tree background and backing it with wood grain patterned paper.  I then stamped my owl stamp twice, once on white and once on the red patterned paper.  I cut out the portion I wanted in red and glued that to the white owl.

After adhering my owl and sentiment, I went thru and added red sparkly I Rocks throuhgout the trees to add some extra twinkle.  What I love about this card is I could see adding colors or changing colors and being able to make it work in winter too!

I die cut a cascade of falling leaves for this card and a pretty paper bow making use of several fall colored patterned papers.

The leaves came in two pieces - one full leaf and one half leaf.  I stitched the second half down and then folded it upward to add some dimension.  A simple sentiment at the bottom was all there was room for and really all this card needs!

Supplies Used:
Imaginisce: Patterned Paper (Perfect Vacation, Welcome Spring, Childhood Memories), Stickers (Childhood Memories) Owl Snag Em Stamp, I Rock

Handmade Fall Cards

We've had the most unusual weather in Utah. We've gone from one of the most cold and rainy August on record to an unnaturally warm September - it was 90 degrees the other day!

The weather may not be predictable, but we can always count on a little crafting to get us in the mood. Today Designer Monique Liedtke is sharing a duo of lovely fall cards...

Hello Imaginisce fans! It’s Monique, sharing two Fall cards featuring the fabulous “Bushel o’ Fall“ collection (can’t get enough of this collection!).

First of all the “Happy Fall” card. For this card I was looking for a bit of extra texture and decided to fill the shape of a die-cut (cardstock) apple with some green/white twine.

This sounds probably more difficult than it actually was: I cut the shape of an apple with my Silhouette, made the topside sticky with an adhesive runner and wound a long string of twine on top of this, starting at the edge and winding this inward to the centre of the apple. For the finishing touch I made a little brown/white twine bow around the twig at the top of the apple.

Then the “Autumn Blessings” card. For this card I stamped the pie Snag’ems Stamp on to a piece of white cardstock and colored the image with 3 different colors Copics.

Then I hand cut it and adhered it on top of the card (half over the “autumn blessings” die-cut”) and using my tiny attacher I adhered a little piece of brown/white twine to resemble steam coming from the warm pie.

For both cards I selected a lot of different patterned papers (5 for the Happy Fall card and 6 for the Autumn Blessings card) and just layered these on top of each other, also using an adhesive runner. Before adhering this pile to the white cardstock base I machine stitched them first. I love layering and machine stitching on my projects a lot!

Thanks for stopping by our blog today! Hope I’ve inspired you to scrap a little today!

Supplies: Imaginisce: patterned paper, die-cuts, bling, pie stamp (Bushel o’Fall); American Crafts: cardstock, adhesive runner.

Fall Scrapbooking

We love how easy it is to use our tools create additional embellishments to match specific themes. You're not going to want to miss how Tracy has used the iTop tool in her fall scrapbooking...

Tracy Gruber

It's getting closer and closer to fall here and it's even starting to feel more like fall outside.  One of my favorite things to do in the fall is go to the pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins, drink apple cider, and go on a hay ride.  I found this picture of myself from many years ago at the pumpkin patch.

I used a few patterned papers from the Welcome Spring, Little Princess, and Perfect Vacation collections.  I stuck with the greens, blues, and tans for a fallish, earthy theme.

I cut out all of the leaves from my Silhouette and inked the edges with Walnut Stain Distress ink.

I created my own embellishments using the I-Top tool and the 16 mm and 22 mm brads.  I used the tan patterned paper from the Welcome Spring collection for these.

Supplies:
Imaginisce: Patterned Papers (Welcome Spring, Little Princess, Perfect Vacation), I-Top tool, 16 mm brads, 22 mm brads
Studio Calico: Sequins, Wood Veneers, Cork Arrows, Mister Huey's
American Crafts: Clothespin, Leaf Mistable Stickers

Fall Scrapbook Layout

We've been experiencing abnormally cool weather in Utah. While we're not ready to see summer go, we're certainly enjoying the changing leaves just like those celebrated in Suzanna Lee's fall scrapbook layout.

Suzanna Lee

Fall is literally just around the corner, I can smell it. There is a different smell to Fall, or Autumn, depending upon what you call it. The crispness in the air, it brings a different aroma with it. My favorite time of year!

This layout celebrates the color changing of the leaves. The stark contrast of the colors in the pictures against the black background is striking and really make both the picture and the simple embellishments pop. It doesn't take much with the striking colors of the pictures.

This collection is an oldy but the a goodie, the Bushel O' Fall collection. I truly wish I had bought more of it when it was released last year! Tried and true!

Fall Scrapbooking

Themed collections are always in demand and we love the way Designer Monique Liedtke has taken our classic Bushel O' Fall collection and made it come alive in this fun fall scrapbooking layout!

Monique Liedtke

Hello Imaginisce fans! It’s Monique, sharing a Fall layout featuring the fabulous “Bushel o’ Fall“ collection. This collection is one of my favorites of all Imaginisce collections. The colors are so warm, the designs so versatile and I just love all the little animals!

Today I decided I wanted to add a pocket with some sequins to my page (as I’ve got a whole stash of them!), but as I couldn’t find a pocket I used a transparent cd sleeve which I resized using my trimmer.

I machine stitched the right hand side closed and added a few sequins. As I wanted two rows of sequins (to divide the sequins more equally) I added another row of stitches and added more sequins and then I stitched the top of the sleeve closed, while at the same time stitching it to my layout. For the finishing touch I layered the title on top (cut with the Silhouette). Love the result.
Have a great day and thank you so much for visiting Imaginisce’s blog today!

Supplies: Imaginisce: patterned paper, die-cuts, button (Bushel o’Fall); Bazzill Basics: cardstock; Studio Calico: cork heart; American Crafts: adhesive runner, this to that foam adhesive.

Thankful Wall Hanging

We've got another great home decor project to share with you today created by design team member Michelle.

Thankful – Wall Hanging

Hello Imaginisce fans!
A few years ago out in blogland I saw a great little wall hanging made on an embroidery hoop and it was done up with papercrafting supplies.  I thought that was an ingenious way to take our craft and stretch it.  And then I went to the craft store and bought about 10 embroidery hoops – ha!  This was about 5 years ago.  And I am just now using them.  Better late than never, right? Winking smile
So today I’m sharing one that I did to hang up in my home as we transition in to fall.  And fall really is my favorite season:  the colors, the scents, the food, football, cooler temperatures, my birthday, and that warm cozy feeling come November where we take pause to be thankful for all that we have.

I’m not a seamstress, although I do sew on my paper crafts, but I spotted this fabric in Mexico a few years ago and bought a few yards.  No idea what I thought I’d use it for, but I think it’s good to always have a good neutral fabric on-hand.  And getting it on my hoop was way easier than I thought it was going to be.
Using a 7” cross stitch hoop, layer fabric over inner hoop, place outer hoop over it, and tighten.
Trim off excess fabric from around the hoop.

Using Imaginisce’s Welcome Spring collection, I die cut some trees, and the word thankful and laid them out on my piece to think through my vision.

It came together pretty quickly after that.

I added a pre-made die because I wanted it to have some more color, and more white to go with the white in thankful.

And I topped the big tree with some gemstones from Welcome Spring to offset it more from the little tree

And now we hang it, and hope to put out a sort of subliminal message to all who pass it in our home, to always remember to give thanks.

xoxo
Michelle
