New Zealand's SENZ 2011 Scrapbooking Cardmaking and Craft Expo

Lori Allred just returned from New Zealand's SENZ 2011 Scrapbooking Cardmaking and Craft Expo where she taught the Kiwis Imaginisce classes and did daily demos of the popular tools we are well known around the world for offering paper crafters.

The event was held at the this unique location in New Zealand for three days...
Telstra Convention Center - New Zealand

Lori worked with the staff and owner of Scrapaholics at the event. She raved about how great they were to work with and how successful the event had been!

Here's a quick peek at the great staff and students that helped make the Imaginisce appearance at Senz this year a great one!!
Jodi, Scrapaholics owner and staff member Vivian
The i-bond was one of the most popular tools featured at Scrapaholics. Students also tried out making Roly Rosies with the Petal Roler and Cupcake Flowers.

In class the Senz students created a fun mini album with Berrylicious, a double-page layout with Garden Party and a two 12x12 layout class featuring Little Cutie. The most popular tool that the awesome students couldn't resist was the popular i-rock tool and i-rock accessories. They were "rockin" the classes!!
Students during Lori's class i-rockin their projects!!
Lori also spent a lot of time each day demonstrating the popular i-top tool. Senz attendees of all ages loved leaving with a fun snap RING. Even the skeptical crafter stopped to make a flower ring and left with a huge smile on their face (and sometimes and extra ring to share with a friend). Below KK from Kays Company (Imaginisce distributor) took her turn at the make and take booth for Scrapaholics (isn't she cute)!!

What a great place to teach at and what a great time Lori and the paper crafters of New Zealand had at Senz!

Join us at CK Scrap and Play - June 17 and 18

So they had me at "free spa services"...but there are so many more reasons to attend CK Scrap & Play next weekend with our Imaginisce team.

1. It's a great value...even the hotel rooms are priced right and it's tucked away in the beautiful Midway valley (which is gorgeous).

2. The staff and teachers ROCK! And a great treat, Lori Allred has agreed to come back and teach and she's loaded up her supply boxes with giveaways and a great class featuring Berrylicious. Lori will even be staying for the whole event so you'll have access to her and her team and even our tools!

3. They have a "candy bar"...need I say more?

4. Lots of scrapping space and they lock up the room at night so you can leave your supplies for the next day.

So gather up a few of your friends, book a room and run away with us on the 17th. You can't tell me you don't need a "summer break" too, right?!

Here's more info about  CK Scrap & Play...
We'll also be at the Boise event in August too!!

10 Things You Didn’t Know about Lori Allred

We are going to start off introducing our new Design Team for 2011 to you starting today. You'll start seeing us post TWICE a day (not including today) to introduce to you one of our original DT girls and one of our newbies. And each day that you stop by our blog and our team member's blog you could win goodies from Imaginisce!

But to get the ball rolling I thought as the DT Coordinator and Social Media Marketing gal at Imaginisce that I would get things started! I thought we'd do something fun and tell you 10 Things You Didn't Know about Lori Allred (me).

#1 My favorite number is 12…because I could stop wearing those puffy orange life vests on my grandparents boat when I turned 12 years old.

#2 I hate NUTS…any type and in anything…don’t like the smell or the taste of them or the taste of them. I am not allergic to nuts! I just don’t like them. In fact, they taste like wood to me.

#3 I am a HUGE reality TV junkie…Any type of show works for me (except those lame game show types like “The Mole”); everything from Top Chef, Amazing Race, The Bachelor, Ice Road Truckers and Deadliest Catch. Oh and my number one favorite is Survivor…seen EVERY season and every episode that’s ever aired.

#4 There are three things I love to do when I commute home from work…sing loudly, chew bubblegum or talk to my bff on phone….every day!

#5 Growing up I wanted to be a truck driver or a lawyer. So that didn’t work out and instead I married a truck driver and I work with a lawyer.

#6 My most favorite thing to do when I have free time and money is to go to the movies. Nothing is better then sitting in a movie theater watching a good flick on the big screen…makes me super happy! I even started a blog about the movies I see called Reel Girl Movie Reviews (which I tend to neglect).

#7 I think I’ve been scrapbooking in one way or another all my life. I remember being in grade school and setting up my own little studio under the stairs where I cut out construction paper and glue it together in books with all my photos. So I was destine to do this professionally!

#8 I still occasionally have dreams that I’m either at school naked or waking up late for a TEST!

#9 My favorite color is RED…and yes, that’s why I married and “Allred.”

#10 Pizza is one of my favorite foods and I firmly believe it’s the perfect food because it includes all 4 food groups!!

I would love it if you’d stop by my blog and check out why I love to be crafty. I’d also love it if you would follow me on my blog and/or leave a comment. Then RETURN to this blog post and leave a comment to win.

Me & My Cricut with Apple Cider Collection

I've read a ton the past few days from our awesome fans and designers about how much you all LOVE the colors in this collection. I AGREE! The colors are prefect for my personal style, not just fall themed projects. And I normally don't have time to create samples to show on the blog, but when I received samples of the new Apple Cider Collection papers I could not resist pulling out one of my favorite Cricut Cartridges and started to play.

In fact, I don't know how to make just one card...so I made a bunch of each style of card just altering the bird colors.
I created these cards with the Home Decor & More Cricut Cartridge. I loved all the birds this cartridge has...in fact I stayed up one night until 3:45am just inking and piecing the birds together...no idea what I would end up making with them either.
Now you have to admit the wood grain paper that's on the backside of the Autumn Splendor paper is perfect for the branches on my card. Love it!!

Here's some more of my bird cards using the Apple Cider collection:

FREE STUFF!?
Thanks again to random.org, we have selected yesterdays winner. Congrats goes out to SILLYPEA. From what I can tell this is Jenn from Just Jenn blog.

Just email us your shipping address at contactimaginiscegmailcom.

NEW GIVEAWAY: A little birdie told me that you'd like to win more of the Apple Cider Collection...right? Since I worked so hard to create these fun cards for you...toWIN, simply jump over and follow my blog!! I'm often over here at Imaginisce keeping the blog going, but sometimes I find time to post on my own blog and I'd love to have all my friends following me to! And I'm giving away a Cricut Cartridge to one of my followers!
