Imaginisce Enjoys the Spring Quilt Market Show

We had so much fun meeting so many great fabric crafters and quilters this past weekend at the International Quilt Market trade show in Salt Lake City, Utah. Everyone seemed so excited to learn more about the Imaginisce i-top "button maker" and popular i-rock tools. Our dynamic duo, Shauna Butler and Linda Holley taught some great classes. And our team had a ton of fun showing people how to use our tools!

Here's some fun pictures we wanted to share...
Our demo tables were buzzing with happy quilters.

Nicole getting our booth ready for the crowds!
Jeff Durham ready to talk orders.
Darling samples featuring Imaginisce tools were huge hits!
Did you know we have a new "Quilting & Fabric" section on the Imaginisce website? Best part is the is the idea gallery of course!
And best part about any trade show...new catalog. If you want to amazing inspiration from our master quilters at Imaginisce, Shauna and Linda then this catalog is for you. Plus we have some new tools being unveiled in this catalog...check them out!

I-Rock, You Rock, We all Rock Hop!

It's true what they say about diamonds, and we here at Imaginisce get pretty darned excited about our bling bling! In fact, we absolutely love to share our addiction for the flashy! Consequently, knowing that a project is not complete until it has a little bling, it's almost as if we were.....

To appease this wonderful craving, we are constantly looking for ways to wield our i-rocks and create some fun projects. Our charge for today's blog hop was to figure out creative ideas to add bling to fabric and boy did the team go to town on this challenge.

Below are a few sneak peeks of what a few of our design team members created. But...you will have to visit each of the designer's blogs to find out what they made and maybe even find a tutorial or two to inspire your very own project. See below for the details.
Liz Qualman

But wait, there is more...
We would love for a lucky follower to have their own obsession with bling. To make sure that happens, we are giving away an amazing
to a randomly drawn follower who hops to each of our designers blogs, leaves a comment on each of the blogs and then hops back here for a final comment about some of the ideas they would like to try with their very own i-rock. How is that for AWESOME???

Thank you as always for your wonderful support and please have fun on the hop.

Guest Blog Post: Some Rockin' Fun!!

Hi there!!!
This is Cari posting and I'm thrilled to be guest blogging today.

I've got some fun projects to share that I created with one of my new favorite tools - the i-rock tool!!! I LOVE this thing!

I experimented with this tool a little bit as I was curious to see how it worked on other items besides paper (even though I love using it on my layouts! ).

My first little project was to add a bit of bling to a small glass vase. Yes, I said GLASS! It works great but you do have to be patient and keep the tool on the crystals for a while 'til they set.

These are the tools that I used for this project. My i-rock, the compact with the clear, pink & black crystals, the flower stencil , and a glass vase that I bought at the dollar store.

I then placed the stencil on the vase where I wanted it (you may want to use a bit of masking tape or some kind of adhesive to hold it in place) and carefully placed the crystals in the holes of the stencil. As you can see I didn't use the entire stencil design ... just the inside of the flower (circle shape).

I added a few small black ones in a circle around the pink crystals to finish it off.

Another fun project to use the i-rock on is fabric - like t-shirts, aprons, skirts, tote bags, etc. My daughter had a t-shirt that had this cute little floral design on it. Well, the Glam Rocks and Crystals that I had matched the design perfectly.

T-shirt AFTER
(yes! My daughter was pretty excited to model this one!)

And now my favorite way to use the i-rock tool is on my layouts. I love the various ways it can add interest to my pages. On this layout I used the glam rocks around the corner of the patterned paper as a border.

The i-rock is also a great way to dress up punched borders as seen here. I also used the i-top tool for the center of my flowers.

Here is the finished layout. I used Splash Dance collection for this page.

I hope I have inspired you to try different things with your i-rock tool. Have fun and please make sure you share with us what you've created because we love to see what our Imaginisce fans do with our products!

i-top: A New Way to Look at Fabrics

Welcome to our Guest Blogger: Kim HolmesI am always on the lookout for fun things to use to cover the i-top brads & magnets! I shop through rummage sales, recycling centers & thrift stores. The fun terrycloth swatches you see here are perfect – they were found at the local recycling center – the Creation Station. The pile of fun colored fabric? Those were cut from old t-shirts that were saved from the donation bag in our closet! The stretching material works perfectly and makes the brad nice & smooth! I have also saved tulle – netting – felt – and tissue paper from the garbage pile to use in my art.

The i-top has made me look at fabric scraps with a new outlook!

Note: The layout and cards were created with the new Lucy Bird Collection.
